I usually love this place, but today's visit was a huge letdown. Jessica did my manicure, and unfortunately, she seemed completely disengaged and unhappy to be there. The regular masseuse was giving me a shoulder massage that I paid for, but this seemed to irritate her--so much so that she barely provided any real service. She didn't clean my hands at all, which is unacceptable and also especially disappointing since I had just been gardening. There's still visible dirt under my nails and on my fingers, (see pic one and two) which defeats the entire purpose of a manicure. She applied almost no lotion and skipped the usual care and treatment this salon is known for. To make matters worse, she swatted my hands multiple times and was visibly annoyed throughout the ten min she did my nails. I requested a lighter and darker color combo, which must have pissed her off as the result in picture 3: Uneven coats (purple) , bubbling polish (blue) and an overall sloppy look (red). They were busy and I was told the owner wasn't there, so I couldn't voice my concerns in person. But be warned--avoid booking with Jessica. This experience was unacceptable. Beware! read more

Very accommodating to a last minute appointment and very helpful in selecting the right nail color. I'm bilingual so I communicated with the Spanish ladies who did a wonderful job with pedi and suggestions. And Christie, the nail tech was wonderful at her craft, understood the assignment to perfection! The shoulder massage was meh. She was very aggressive with my nails and I uncomfortably sat through pain without her adjusting how aggressive she was being. I was not satisfied with my nails at the end and there was a lot of dried up powder under my nails that would not come off even after trying to wash my hands with a brush. Also it was very obvious that she was talking negatively about me in her language while other nail techs laughed. I decided the service wasn't deserving of a tip after all of this however I was told I have to tip at the end and so I ended up tipping because of the uncomfortable situation I was put in. Pretty bummed out that this place stopped working for me. I loved Lusso Nails when they had the original owners. Ever since the owners moved to Texas and sold off their business, Lusso Nails quality has not been up to par. They charge you $60 for just a gel fill-in. The last couple of times, I left with my nails sloppy and without any shine. I thought that maybe it was me, but when I got home, it was the first thing they noticed. This isn't the first time that this has happened either. So, either the products being used are faulty or the girl that used to do my nails was just careless. Either way, I can't keep spending $60 for a service that isn't $60 quality. I honestly don't like writing negative reviews, but if I am not being serviced correctly and I am being inconvenienced in finding a new nail place (which is not easy), you're getting a negative review. read more

service terrible. i had erika and this is the second time i had her. the first time i didn't like the color i had so i asked her nicely to take it off and do a different color. she didn't seem bothered by it. but then she proceeded to talk about me to her other coworkers infront of me. she was aggressive and rough. she was very rude the entire time and when i asked to keep my nails long she cut them short. i didn't give her a tip bc i didn't think she deserved one. when i went back the second time i had her again. she remembered me and was extremely rude. i did give her a $11 tip to be nice but again i said for by nails to be long, she cut them short. i just got them done a week ago and the thumb nail has fallen off twice, ive had to re-glue it myself. overall i do not recommend this place. read more

Cannot recommend Lusso Nails enough! I have tried at least 3 local nail salons in the Morris County area and nothing comes close to Lusso. To make customers feel safe, they take temperature upon arrival and all stations are separated by plexiglass. Came here about a month ago to do my first gel manicure. I forget the girl's name but I appreciate that she didn't rush me with deciding what nail color I wanted and also gave me options on what worked well with my skin tone. She was very nice the whole time. My only complaint would be the awkward shoulder/neck massage I received from her. My nails were drying and she got up from her chair so I figured she'd disappear for a few moments. To my surprise she got right behind me and started digging into my neck like REALLY DIGGING and it didn't help that I was wearing my work uniform. The shirt I was wearing isn't a soft texture you'd want to rub against your skin so that "soothing massage" left me feeling like I needed to go and get an actual message to relieve the rug burn pain left on my poor neck. The manicure itself was very nice. I asked about the price of having long nails put on me and I explained to her the length I wanted it to be (nothing crazy like Cardi B's nails, but a decent natural looking length). She said it would cost $100 and I laughed. I said no thank you and let her continue with my gel manicure. Even the gel manicure was pricy in my opinion at $35. I don't know if that's the average price of a gel manicure or not but to have to pay that every two weeks plus tip can be costly on a monthly basis. I'll probably stick to getting my nails done every now and then but I don't think financially wise, I can make this a constant expense. read more

Went in for a pedicure. Place is cute as shown in pictures. Clean. Had Kevin for the pedicure. I badly needed callous removal. Kevin scrubbed so so hard and I honestly feel he tried really hard to get them smooth, but I think he didn't use the finer tool at the end. They are definitely better than they were, but they are catching on my sheets and feel rough still. $10 extra for callous removal which seems to be standard at most places. $35 total. Pedicure lasted a few weeks before chipping. I've had other pedicures last around 6 weeks before chipping. They don't have tub liners. Was hoping they did. read more

I won't be back. I called in to make an appointment for gel nails and they quoted me $40 and were able to accommodate within 30 minutes. I walked in and they were friendly, and the place was very nice and clean. The issues began when I sat down to get my nails done with who I believe was the female owner of the salon. It turns out the price I had been quoted on the phone was for a basic gel nail manicure. I wanted gel nail extensions. This is my first time getting extensions done, so it was my fault for the miscommunication. I discussed my options with her and she kept insisting that I just do the basic gel manicure because gel extensions were "expensive" and would "take an hour". She was trying to proceed with the basic gel manicure meanwhile. I had to persuade her to do extensions on my nails. Because the extensions were so expensive, I kept asking about other options like the silk wrap tips which she also refused to do. I was so confused! She did NOT want to do extensions of any sort. Sorry I want to pay you more money?? She was 0% accommodating. Ultimately, she reluctantly agreed to do the gel extensions after I INSISTED I didn't want regular gel nails, I'd rather leave. She ended up giving me a slight discount on the extensions because of the miscommunication on the phone about price. FYI- gel nail extensions here are $100 which is obscene to me. Extensions elsewhere are typically $60 or so. Gel extension fills at Lusso are $60... So soooo expensive. When i left she snidely reminded me that "fills are $60", as if to reinforce that I won't be getting a discount next time. When she was doing my nails she asked if my hands were "always this clammy" and asked her coworker for a towel, which I thought was pretty rude. I showed her a picture of how I wanted the nails shaped and she looked at it for a millisecond and said "OK" and didn't replicate it how I wanted because she didn't actually look at it. The extensions were also very short. The whole point was that I wanted longer nails so I don't know why she made them so short. They turned out super thick and bumpy looking. She clearly didn't put in the time to make them look like real nails. I originally gave 3 stars because I thought the nails were done well and they lasted for four weeks. I am downgrading to a 1 start review because I went to Provence nails in Scotch Plains today to get my nails filled and they were so accommodating and nice and the nails turned out WAY BETTER for a much better price. Lusso is insanely expensive and had awful customer service. I had to persuade the owner to give me what I wanted. She was rude the whole time and made me feel bad about my hands being clammy when it's a disorder I have no control over. She was rude and did a terrible job and it was crazy expensive. It's located in the shopping center across from Merck with Roosters, DD and fro-yo place. Yum. New salon. Clean, modern interior. The staff seem well trained and happy to be working there which adds to the relaxation. Wide variety of polishes. They have weeklong polish too! Lots of gel colors. They have a book with the gel colors nearly displayed...not those typical cheesy pinwheel displays. Kinda different and I appreciated it. Massage chairs have wifi on the arm rest. They are comfortable and the massage options are fully functioning and strong. Super impressed. I picked a horrible orange color polish but that was my mistake. Overall pedicure was a treat! This place is awesome! They did such a great job on my pedicure. I got the spa pedicure just because it included an extra 10 min foot massage and it was well worth it. I brought my own color because I find that salons typically don't have colors that I want but surprisingly they had my color which was awesome! I went with no appointment on a Friday morning and it was pretty busy but I didn't have to wait. The nail technician did a great job and I will definitely be back. After the pedicure I sat to let my toes dry and they gave a nice little back rub that I didn't want to end. Overall it's very clean inside. All the tools are brand new fresh out of the package. They line the tub with plastic so you're no getting any gunk from the person before. Can't wait to get a manicure and see how they do. read more

They accept walk ins and are fully staffed to accommodate the high amount of customers who come here. Their products are great, clean and high quality. Went to Lusso today for the first time after reading rave reviews on Yelp and I'm so happy I found this nail salon because they are lacking in Summit. I walked in for my 10am appointment for a gel mani...told the owner I was debating also getting a pedicure and it was no problem for them to accommodate me right away for the extra service. The place is spacious and clean...very modern inside and the Pedi chairs are comfy. Plenty of parking and near a Dunkin Donuts too, which makes me happy because I like to sip on coffee while getting my nails done. And my nails look beautiful...this is my new go to spot! read more
