I've been a regular at this salon for a while, but my recent experience left me frustrated. I called ahead asking for the exact formula or ingredients used on my hair. They refused to share any details, insisting that it's industry standard and they can't disclose product specifics. After pushing a bit, I spoke with the owner, who reiterated the same stance. They claimed it's just how the industry works and offered no alternatives beyond asking me to come in for another appointment. Pros: Consistent service and results I've had in the past Friendly staff during visits Cons: Inflexible about sharing product information or ingredients Lack of transparency and clear explanation when asked A bit of gatekeeping rather than offering options (e.g., general product categories, allergen information, or a sensitivity patch test) If you're someone who likes to know exactly what's being used on your hair (for allergies, ethical reasons, or personal preference), this policy can be disappointing. It would help if the salon could provide at least: A general list of product lines used (without proprietary formulas) Ingredient highlights and potential allergens Allergie/sensitivity screening and alternatives for future visits I'm considering whether to return and would love to see a more transparent approach. If they can offer a clear, customer-friendly explanation and options, I'd be more inclined to give them another chance. Awful. They are happy with you leaving looking like a hot mess, but how would they know cause they don't even bother to check your color? ( Other than the senior level people, God help you if you schedule with mid level staff who are happy to take your money but cannot be bothered to see you after they slap on the color, move you to another place because they have another client, then have a very junior person put on a glaze and never see you again). The junior person was fine. The lady at the front was really indifferent to what was going on. This is not my time experiencing this level of awfulness. read more

I had gotten a lot of recommendations for bridal services from this salon and I can see why. I am beyond impressed with how fantastic the bridal service is. I spoke with a few people and the communication throughout was on point. Shqiponje was my stylist and she surpassed my expectations not only for my trial, but single handedly made my bridal party and myself look beautiful the day of! She was a pleasure to work with, professional, sweet, and listened to what we all wanted. She was right on time, and had us all done and ready on time without any feelings of being rushed. It was an absolute pleasure having her. Prices were on par with other salons. You do have to pay in full 1 week prior to your wedding which was totally fine with me. They also include a 20% tip PP which again I was totally okay with. I highly recommend them and especially Shqiponje! read more

I've gotten two cuts with Jessica at the salon and I wish I had found her and the salon sooner! Jessica is the nicest human ever and her cuts make you feel gorgeous. You can just tell she knows exactly what she's doing and it shows in the results, which helps me to feel at ease. I've also added conditioning treatments to my haircuts each time. Had a great experience with Nicole! Firstly, they opened at 7:30 for me. Secondly, she did a great job in a timely manner. She blew out my hair Did a full face of makeup plus lashes! At first I was worried because I'm in my mid 40's and I worried about getting cakey, but my skin looked great! She kept makeup classic and my hair styled just as I wanted. I told her to focus on my eyes as I feel They always looked tired and she did exactly that! Loved what she did! She opened them up with eyeshadow and whatever other magic tools she had in her bag. I needed a last minute haircut appointment and I was very fortunate that Nikola was available. I was a bit hesitant at first since I had never had her cut my hair but she was friendly and listened well to what I wanted. Today I took my 14 year old for a standard cut I've had hit or miss results but she really wanted a haircut and after using them for 15 years I figured ok. The issue I have is that they were playing wildly inappropriate music that my 9 year old and I had to hear. It was a cardi b song that was more vile than I've heard as a chef of 21 years in a kitchen. I had to find the stylist to turn it off. There was another staff member there who was equally as clueless. The owner sent an email half apologizing but honestly my two kids are disgusted for the older one and the younger one got a fast life lesson on a half dozen curse words she didn't need to know and is now asking for definitions. I'm no saint but to have that filth at a hair salon is not excusable nor is there lack of apology. Too bad bc the only good service that was consistent was the keratin treatment . read more

The end product was sufficient for our purposes but overall I would not recommend this facility for bridal hair or make-up unless your tastes align with the common trending moment. Only half of the bridal party received hair styles requested and generally we felt we were being pigeon-holed into the style of the moment. Additionally, not all policies are listed in the website so make sure you ask many questions, and if you require hair extensions bring your own. Overall, the experience felt chaotic, rushed, and very impersonal, leaving a sour feeling amongst the bridal party until sometime later in the day. Probably the only real regret we had for the day/weekend/wedding which was unfortunate given initial interactions planning the day. Edit: Had a phone conversation with the owner who was inquisitive and pleasant. I'm sure they will use any constructive information from our interaction to inform future interactions. read more

I consider her an expert in cutting curly hair and styles it beautifully. This fully service salon and spa offers a variety of services at reasonable prices. I came here a few weeks ago for a blow out since I had purchased a deal on groupon. The blow out was fine. However, when I made an appointment for my next blow out I received a call the day of and only 2 hours before the appointment from the stylist stating the management had advised her to inform me that if I wanted the same stylist it would be an additional $55 to blow my hair out and if I used a different "blow bar" stylist it would be $25 in addition to the groupon deal and this would be per visit due to the length and curl of my hair. The groupon deal offered had NO conditions such as the ones above that "management" wanted to impose. There is no deal to impose $55 for a wash and blowout in addition to a groupon...just ridiculous! Also, calling a client the day of, within 2 hours of apt is so inconsiderate! I guess the deal was targeted towards people that already have straight hair! btw, they charge an extra money if you want them to use a flat iron in addition to blowing out your hair. This is the first place I've heard of that charges to go over straightened hair with a flat iron. read more

I am extremely happy with Amanda. She is a great colorist and stylist. She listens to what you want and does a great job, she is also very sweet , polite and is always on time.... She gets 5 stars The salon is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. I gave it only three stars because the prices are quite steep and they do not offer complimentary trims . I have Justine cut my hair, and she does a great job every time, cutting it exactly to my specifications. The salon itself is also very nice. I like this place. I've been looking for a salon to do foils and a hair cut for years. I lived in Short Hills & Summit for 10 years and could never find a place. I moved to Bernardsville 4 years ago and this place is perfect. When you drive by the outside, it's an ok looking house. But when you go inside, its up-to-date and beautiful with dark brown floors, wide white moldings, nice mirrors and work stations. It's not snobby or uptight. Comfortable and nice. I'm meeting my sister in NYC today and just called them for a foil appointment. They said they could do me at 12. I said, "any earlier"? Then they said I could come in at 10:00 am. How about that. What an amazing experience. My friend nominated me for Diva for a Day because of my cancer diagnosis. I was treated to a day of pure luxury that the salon gave to me for free, how amazing is that?? Any salon that is related to the organization Diva for a Day is a great salon to me. My day started with a massage followed by (my first and not last) facial that felt amazing. I then got a manicure and pedicure that was great and was treated with lunch (which you can actually get with a full spa day there!!!). I finished the day with getting my make up done and a hair (the little I have) trim. The salon is in an old house and makes it feel so cozy. Everyone there was extremely nice and welcoming and really made me feel like a diva and amazing. I can't wait to go back as a regular client. read more
