I went here for the second time this morning and last time they only charged me about $35 for a gel manicure and $10 for eyebrow today. I asked them for a regular manicure and eyebrows the last minute in the middle of doing my nails they asked if I would like to pay before painting them i said sure. Then the lady who wasn't even doing my nails it says that polish removal is $10 extra so that eyebrows were 15 today instead of 10 and my manicure was 25 plus polish removal 35 + 15 =50!! all for a regular manicure and an eyebrow wax and on top of this the waxing lady dropped hot wax all over my hair and then asked if I wanted baby oil to put in my hair to help it come off. It didn't help at all. You would think they would give me a discount or something for the mess up they made and last time they did not charge me for polish removal. It's a shame because I live two minutes away from here and now I'm going somewhere else. I hate when people try to take advantage of me for my money and I see right through them. read more

AMAZING service and atmosphere! I just spent the last year and a half doing my on mani-pedi, so being able to go back to Fox Chase Nails is something I've been dreaming about for a while! Although they had been closed for 4 months last year, they did not miss a beat getting back! Quiet music, massage chairs while you get a pedi, conversation with the owner Phoebe and Kay and all the girls. It's literally flawless. My nail tech was Teresa and she was so incredibly sweet even given the fact I didn't give myself enough time to have my nails done before they closed. So very disappointed with my experience at this salon. The nail polish used was old and very gloppy. After sitting under the dryer for 25 minutes it was clear the my were never going to dry. When the manager came over I showed her how they were thick and denting. She was not pleased that I wanted new polish and had a girl that was clearly new repaint my nails. She was so sweet and wanted me to be happy. Left with a not so great manicure. Will not be returning. By the way it was clear that the manger was complaining about me in another language. I have been twice. The salon is very nicely decorated, well above average for a typical salon. The owner makes an enormous effort to be friendly and welcoming. The pedicure and powder "next gen" manicure I received were very good. One error was corrected. Waxing room is clean and amusingly decorated. A massage was offered, not imposed. My items were offered to be moved, not moved without my permission. So I experienced none of the issues the two negative reviews here identified. This is a very small business in a rural location and I'm happy to support their effort to provide a good local service. read more

I have a suggestion : when a client kindly and politely tells you Not to touch her stuff , she means it, and you should listen to your client! Be careful handling peoples bags, cellphones, glasses (!) and other personal belongings -- especially when your hands are still dirty and oily from doing a pedicure !!! Do Not Touch !!! Last time you bent my $700 glasses because you handled them carelessly with your filthy hands. I can't tell you how that is very very irritating to put it mildly. Also -- forget the massage : you are not massage therapists , you do a lousy massage , and you end up "wiping" your oily dirty hands on my clean clothes !!!! Yikes. Can't stand it. read more

My girlfriend convinced me to get a regular pedicure (no polish) after months of begging. I finally decided to give it a shot. To be completely honest, it was a really relaxing experience. I think the ambiance of the place and how clean it was also put my nervous mind at ease. The people were nice and made sure I was comfortable. The massage chairs were really relaxing during my session. I thought having someone touch my feet would be really weird, but they were gentle about everything they did. I'm not one to want to do these things, but I'll probably tag along when my girlfriend comes back for her next pedicure. read more

I just went here for the first time the over the weekend and was honestly so happy I found this place! I went in for a gel manicure/pedicure set. The staff was SO friendly as soon as I walked in! The place is clean and super cute too! The technician who did my nails was very talented and did my nails exactly how I wanted. She even took the time to compare my nails on both hands to make sure they're all even in shape and length. Most places I've been to tend to not take the time to do that, so this was a plus! What an absolutely lovely operation. They recently renovated the operation and it has a new lovely owner. It is beautifully designed, a tranquil but contemporary feel. It is clean and immaculate. Polishes are well organized and maintained. New tools are used for each customer. You are warmly greeted. They remember your name and are exceptionally courteous. The service was excellent. The polish has lasted and my nails were even and well manicured. They took the time to be sure everything was even. A nice back massage after the polish too! Very reasonable prices for the simply exceptional service. It was such a pleasant experience and I did NOT feel i was in an assembly line. I will definitely be back. Amazing! I came in with my nails that I have been biting for 20 years and they did not laugh! They were so kind and caring and painted my nails in a beautiful blue color! My favorite color! I got a pedicure today (first time customer) and was not pleased with the pedi nor the service. Pedicure was rushed (despite being the only one there on a friday afternoon), sloppy, and frankly I could have painted my toes better myself. She did not even use the cuticle cutter and filed my nails for about 5 seconds before slapping polish on them. Once she finished, in 15 minutes... , she was overjoyed to have another employee file her nails after she got her built up anger out on my back as a "massage". Not happy I had to pay $27 to just take the polish off at home because it looked so bad. Not to mention all of my calluses still there from the careless job.
