Expensive/Overpriced/Sloppy I've never left a review for a nail salon before but I felt compelled to do so after visiting Paradise Nails. I'm new to the area, decided to stop in and give them a try. I didn't have an appointment and they graciously accepted me as a walk-in customer. I wanted a basic mani/pedi and required no polish as I planned to paint my nails myself as I still had some work/running around to do. They suggested I do both services at the same time and I obliged. Neither nail tech was thorough in doing the pedicure nor manicure. Obvious patches of dead skin were left on my feet, the coral nail polish I was wearing was still left on the edges and my nails and my nails were cut/filed into different shapes. For my finger nails, I came into the salon wearing a pale pink nail hardener. To start the service, the nail tech didn't remove the nail polish first but started filing/buffing my nails then placed my hands in warm water then clipped my cuticles. This entire process seemed odd as she's completing ALL OF THESE STEPS and I still have polish on my nails! I asked her if she's going to take the polish off because I assumed she forgot and she says she'll do it, "at the end". I found this to be incredibly bizarre as nail polish removal is step one and how can you give a client a manicure when you can't see their nail?! Anyways, she continues with the services lotioning my hands and giving me a hand massage. It wasn't until she was done doing everything that she finally removed the polish but she didn't even remove all of it! The polish still remains on my nails several days later. I come in for the most basic of services as they had ONE JOB to simply remove nail polish, file my nails and remove dead skin and they couldn't get it right. I'm out $49.00 plus tip and still had to go home and scrub my own feet, re-file my nails to even them out and continue to clip my cuticles. Please train the staff to be more thorough in doing nails. If they can't get it right doing the most basic manicure/pedicure, I wouldn't entrust them to do anything else. Hello darlings! Was recommended by this place thru a friend that comes here religiously. She recommended Marisol. She was AMAZING! The receptionist was AMAZING! The receptionist was able to find colors that were similar to the picture that I wanted to copy. See attached picture. The left is the Pinterest idea; the right is my hand haha I absolutely love the color. I got tips and they did a powder dip. Basically, I got the cheaper version of getting my nails done for the holiday. (I'm on a budget! haha) This was a good way to treat myself. During the session, I was literally falling asleep. I guess it's b/c Marisol was so gentle and good at filing and cleaning up my nails. She doesn't like drawing straight lines, BUT she did well! I would definitely recommend this place. It was a surprise that they were able to take me in as a walk-in on a Wednesday. And she JUST literally finished as they were cleaning up the place. They are super clean as I can smell the chemicals towards the end of the session, BUT that's what you want! You want to know that the nail salon that you go to takes care in cleanliness! Came here as I just moved to the area and was shopping around for new places. However, it Was not worth the $65 I spent for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. They have an upstairs which is nice and a great variety of colors, but unfortunately based off the exorbitant cost and the fact that my nails are chipping three days later (which never happens to me) I won't be going back. The salon is clean, staff is nice. I had an ombré dip powder manicure that was beautiful and lasted for three weeks without a chip. I had a color dip manicure after and it chipped within 5 days. I thought maybe it was that particular color so I gave it another chance and again the dip was chipped in three places within a week. Can't justify coming back and spending $50 on a manicure that will last for less than a week. read more

I purchased a Living Social for a mink eyelash extension ($79) and let me say the lady did an amazing job! It took a little over 90 minutes and the salon is really clean and comfortable. I love how my eyelashes came out. Thick, full and beautiful! Let's just hope they stay in for a while. The salon is really nicely maintained and has been around for 10 years. A little pricey at full price ($180+ for lashes) for well worth it if you want quality lashes. Great job! read more

I have been going to Paradise for years and I think they are outstanding!!!! I have had regular and spa pedicures, manicures, gel manicures, dip powder manicures, and eye brow waxing. I never ask for a specific tech I have had many different ones and they all do a fantastic job. The place is very clean and side note there is a great car wash next door!!! read more

The pedicures are fantastic However the manicures should last a little longer for those prices One thing I always noticed ...No one seems very happy that works there They aren't as friendly as dream nails . I went there a couple of times. The cleanliness of the place was decent. I loved going there because I thought there pedicures were awesome. They give u a massage with the heated stones.I really loved that. I always felt that they did not have a lot of colors. For Gels but, I always found something. Choices weren't to many. I didn't mind the girls who did the pedicures, but i always felt like the 2 owners who are the ones that do the nails are very impersonal. Very serious and no character. One time I went in and mentioned to them that my nails chipped right away and I almost felt that as a paying customer they would apologize and offer at least a free nail design on even just one nail. The minimal would probably had made a difference. She never apologized, she just rolled her eyes and almost as if she had been offended by what I said. Listen, take the criticism. Helps you grow better as a business. Every time I sat in their chairs I would be so bored because they never really engaged in conversation. Nice but pricey. They definitely try to give good service. They don't skimp, it's clean, staff is pleasant enough, they don't speak in foreign languages behind your back ( that Seinfeld episode, still haunts me, lol), it's handicapped accessible, with a full ramp which is thoughtful if someone needed that. Two things that bother me though. First is that a gel pedicure cost $60, wait that's not the worst part. In the middle of the pedicure the Jennifer the manicurist asks me if I want the callous taken off the bottom of my feet. Well, of course I do, that's one of the main reasons I get a pedicure. So that's an extra $10. Yup, $70 for a freakin' pedicure. I've been around, and let me tell you, it was no better than any one else's pedicure. I work in the area, and I've tried a few places. I agreed to the original $60 thinking it would be something extra special. It was good, but nothing special. Next thing that bothers me about the place is they have this ATM machine right where you walk in. You'd think that's great convenience for some people, isn't that considerate. Nah. They push for you to pay cash. There's signs that say if you pay cash, they give you "double points". OK, I get that they don't want to pay the fees for credit cards, but the signs say 'NO FEE' for ATM. Believe me, it's weird, it's not for your convenience, its for their benefit. To me, feels like this is just a bit shady to push sooo hard to make it a cash business. It shouldn't be my concern, but frankly, it seems so blatantly wrong. I have been going here since 2007 and I really like it. The flat screen TV's are always set to the Food Network;-) I only let one girl touch my feet or my hands and her name is Joanna. She is, by far, the best girl they have, IMO. Make sure you tell them gentle if you don't like deep tissue massages. The spa pedicure is worth the price tag! read more

My mom and I have been going here for years. They are consistent in their quality and service. Mostly whoever I get takes their time and does a really good, Long lasting paint job. What's even better is that they accommodated my bridal party an mothers the weekend of my wedding in their upstairs area and even let us celebrate with champagne and finger food that we brought in. The prices are a bit high but worth every penny. The service is quality and if you ever have any issues with the paint job, you can go back in for a quick fix up. Paradise nails is top notch. They care about their customers and go above and beyond to help people get what they need. I get a manicure every week, have had many sets of tips and gels in the past, as has my daughter and the work has always been excellent. The spa pedicure is a wonderful service and better than most in large spas for much less money. Probably the worst eyelash extensions of all time. They looked okay the first day but they start falling out by day three. I have had eyelashes done before so I do know how to take care of them... this was just not done right... the lady was very nice but that doesn't help keeping my eyelashes in. Poor Christina she must have gone to the wrong salon....she can't be talking about the Paradise Nails I have religiously been going to for the past 4 years, EVERY TWO WEEKS to have my gel manicure refreshed as well as my pedi. ??? Christina you must really be confused ...I was there this morning having my two week mani/pedi when the topic of on line web reviews came up, Christina's was brought to my attention. I read it out loud in the salon and every woman there couldn't believe Christina was talking about Paradise!!!!!!! As for Gina's ability, I always ask for GINA if I cannot get Young to do my mani. Gina does the best manicures I have ever had & I have been all over the world to some of the best salons. Bar none Paradise Nails is a classy, professional environment frequented by well heeled clients who are respectful of each other. There is even a policy of no cell phone use while in the salon, which I appreciate VERY MUCH.....we don't need to listen to others conversations while relaxing. All in all, if you are looking to have a perfect manicure or pedicure (plus GREAT massages from NEIL) with the best products then by all means come to Paradise Nails. I have been using them since they first opened and I am still blown away every time I go. They do an incredible job on my nails and their pedicures are incredible. I send everyone I know there and after going once they have switched nail salons. I even went while pregnant as the salon never smells like all the nails polish and cleaners and it was wonderful because I was concerned inhaling the fumes. They took such wonderful care of my feet that I went once a week for a pedicure to relax and relieve swelling from pregnant feet. I still go once a month and get my nails and toes done. I will never go anywhere else as they are also the cleanest nail salon I have been too. read more

I had Jenna do a gel manicure, she was VERY meticulous and did an amazing manicure. She was very sweet and didn't rush through it and took her time and cared. Got my first set of eyelash extensions today - Jenna did an awesome job! I was so surprised at how natural they look (I have few, blonde, stick straight lashes) and I'm really happy so far. I seriously don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. I have only gone here because I had a gift card but today was the last straw! My mom and I went in to get manicures and YUCK! We both sat under the drier for a half hour and our nails still weren't dry but we were done waiting around in the overly crowded salon. 4 hours later my mom's nails are chipped and smudged as well as mine. What manicure is still not dry after 4 hours?!?!? I will NEVER go back to this place. If I wanted my nails to look like crap I would do them myself. I got my eye lashes done therelast week , I use to wear them all the time and didn't have a problem, all of the sudden after this place my eyes completely swelled up and I had a wedding that day . I will never go to this salon ever again, the entire experience was ridiculous! When I called to make the appointment to get a full set of tips, I asked how much they would be and the lady over the phone said $55-60. When I got there, I sat with Gina and she told me that only the temporary nails are $55-60 and she can not guarantee that the nails wont chip or break so I had to pay $70 for silk wraps or $100 for permanent nails. I was so confused I asked, "Aren't all nails temporary that's why I come back every two weeks to get a fill?"She didn't know what to say but basically told me that I had to get silk wraps even though I told her I don't ever get silk wraps I just wanted acrylic or gel. I should have left at this moment but I trusted that she knew what she was doing so I got silk wraps. Gina, puts 3 of the tips on crooked and when I pointed this out to her, she told me not to worry about it. Then I told her that I wanted short nails so she takes the clippers and just cuts MY nails wherever SHE thought was ok. When I told her that she cut the nail waaay too short, she argued with me and said, "you wanted therm short". I explained that I thought she would hold the clippers to the nail and ask me if the length was ok...but she did not. At this point, she is making it seem like I'm the problem. She gave me the vibe as though I should not be telling her this stuff or pointing these things out. However, I am paying $70 for these nails so I want them the way I want them. I told her to file my nails narrow, so they weren't wide..and that didn't happen. Overall, my nails wete too short, crooked and wide on the top of the nail..wider than my real nail actually is! I got them done Saturday and by Tuesday, 3 OF MY NAILS FELL OFF WITHOUT ME EVEN HITTING THEM HARD. Gina told me I was paying for nails that wouldn't break easily or chip, that's why I was paying $70 for silk wraps rather than $55-60 like I was told in the first place. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE NOT TO GO THERE. I can't believe this salon even exists. They were rude, and obviously they can not do nails that last longer than 3 days. This place DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR. UNLESS IT WAS GINA AND THE OTHER GIRLS ARE GOOD, DO NOT GO HERE. THEYRE ARE SO MANY BETTER PLACES. I only tried this place out because I just moved to the area. Looks like I'll be going somewhere else, after I go in and show them my nails. I agree that this place is very good for nails/toes - great atmosphere with the TVS, clean, etc. I found the staff to be a little standoffish AND the last time I went in, I lost my ATM card - I either did not get it back or left it there somehow - I called, and the woman who runs the place was not at all helpful. You would think after spending $50 in a place she could have put the phone down to take a look around for me. Instead, she told me that the woman who did my nails was trustworthy and that they have never had a problem with her.
