I wanted to try lashes, but didn't want to spend the money. I found a Groupon for Envy Lash and went to the Bernardsville, NJ location. It was a little tricky to find, as the store is on the corner of a busy intersection, but they were really good when I called asking for their location, and being 10 mins late. My Groupon was for 60 lashes per eye for mink, but they upgraded me to cashmere. The tech was so friendly, the chairs are super comfy and the process was painless and took about an hour. The staff was so great and I would definitely go there again. read more

They do great work, and the technicians are wonderful. However, Do Not purchase Groupons for this business -- I purchased two a year ago after speaking with someone at the front desk who told me I could buy several and they could be used any time (despite what the fine print said!). So I used one voucher (happy with the results!) and went to schedule my next appt but they then told me I had to wait a year because the vouchers it was only for "new clients". I knew that's what the fine print had said but was told to ignore that. On top of that I said, then this would make the voucher expired however the person at the front desk said it was "totally fine" they "still honor it" but I would have to wait a full year to be considered a "new client." Weird but okay....I was ok to wait since I only really do this a few times a year anyway. Well, I just called to make an appt after a year and was told I could not use this voucher at all for myself -- I would have to gift it to someone. I tried to explain the above and that I understood the policy but when I purchased it -- that I was told many times it was totally fine and they would honor it for me anyway. The woman I spoke with kept reading their policy back to me that it was for new clients only etc, over and over and over again and I could not get a word in edgewise and I finally just had to hang up, mentioning that I feel that I need to write a review. I'm sure this is a frustration for them to have to turn away Groupons and clients due to this policy -- and yes, it is in the fine print -- but I would not have purchased two had I known I could not use them both. I may try to gift this to someone -- like I said, their work is really nice. read more

I think they are the most reasonable lash place in the area and so far my lashes each time have came out great. I decided to sign up with a 5 lash package to save the most on my fills and it's worth the price. You are in one main room with other people getting lashed, but they set rules so people are quiet and it's relaxing. The chairs you lay in are really comfortable. In response to the owner's comments: I've been getting extensions for several yrs and I fully understand the difference between classic and volume. I haven't had a full set of classic since the first time I had extensions applied many yrs ago. The look I asked for was volume 3s interspersed with classic single lashes - this is what looks best on me without looking unnatural. I have never had more than 3 per fan. Yours are thick with several lashes to each fan. And your tech did not listen to me: I made it very clear I did not want more than 3 lashes per fan. Put the fan quality and size aside, you did NOT isolate my lashes and used too much glue. Sure, you can turn this around and review me - someone you have never met - and announce that even though I've had extensions for over 6 yrs, I don't know the difference between classic and volume lashes. And that because I had another bad experience ONE other time in 6 yrs, that you pretend to know what happened there and instead of taking the 'I'm sorry - we made a mistake, how can we make this right' route, you instead feel the need to assault my character - 'look readers she had a bad experience at another shop so it's not us - it's her'. I believe that's referred to as gaslighting - isn't that frowned upon these days? You damaged my lashes from one application - period end of story. More glue does not equal longer retention - it only causes pain and damage. Yes, you and Amazing Lash Short Hills both subscribe to the extra glue theory and that is why I am no longer a clientele of either. There are many reputable lash places in the area and I thank you for sending me elsewhere because I discovered Charlies in Basking Ridge - the very best I have had in over 6 yrs. I'll never go anywhere else. Please - instead of throwing your mistake back on your customer, use this as a learning experience - the review from Pia on 3/19 tells the same story. Slow it down, your customers would much rather spend more time and pay higher prices to have the work done correctly. Nobody I know wants to pay less to have this type of experience. Reducing pricing and rushing your techs is not a solution - it results in costs of time and money for removal and the lengthy process of lash regrowth. These are our eyes. Your review of me and scrutiny of each of my other reviews - marking each as 'funny' - is not behavior indicative of a business I want to patronize. Not a great experience. Went for a lash tint but the technician began a brow tint and stupidly I allowed it. When she finished my eyebrows were black. I am fair skinned blond so it looked ridiculous. Someone else came over and after 20 minutes had lightened them to at least not look freakishly abnormal. I was happy I have bangs which hid them for a a week or so. Next Amina did my lashes. She was very gentle and it was VERY relaxing as I was laying on a soft futon like couch with a blanket. During the entire time I could hear Sarah checking in with her staff and really being attentive to everything that was going on around her, while speaking with all of her customers as if they were family. There were several first timers during my appointment. While I was checking out I looked in the mirror and did not like the way one of my eyes looked. Sarah very quickly brought me back and adjusted my lashes and added a few more to help balance and achieve the look I wanted. I will say that there was no hard sell AT ALL for extras and everything was really low key. I was even giving a very generous gift!! This is a total opposite of the chain eyelash shops in the area who try to sell you everything in sight. Envy Lash is very fairly priced and even has a great new client special and you are given the upgraded lashes too. I tried eyelash extensions at another local place back in April (Lashology) and spent over $400 getting extensions which had to be filled in within 2 days of applying and the style was not what I asked for either time. They had also tinted my eyebrows which resulted in them staining my skin where THEY thought my eyebrows should be (basically ended up looking like someone took a BLACKsharpie to my face- even when I asked for medium brown and brought in my brow filler powder as a color example!) After that horrid experience I walked in to Envy Lash and was immediately greeted by Joanna and Gina, two incredibly sweet and knowledgeable women. I described my awful experience and talked to them a bit about what I was looking for - cat eye shape, full, and eyebrow and lash tinting. They were SO awesome - I scheduled my appointments with them that day and they offered me almost $95 off !!!! I went in to get lash and eyebrow tinting about a week before my eyelash appointment (lash tinting isn't required but haps blend my naturally blonde lashes to the extensions!) I was so thrilled! My eyelashes came out the perfect shade - a medium brown - and Gina did such an exquisite job on them there was no staining on my skin - JUST on my eyebrows themselves! The lash tinting was amazing too - No need for mascara on my bottom lashes! A week later I went back for the extensions, as I wear false lashes daily I was rather particular about the style I wanted. My wish was granted!!! Came out looking like a movie star and the lashes lasted me 1.5 weeks on a very outdoorsy vacation (even stayed on for tubing and waterskiing !) I went back to get a fill in and was just as happy once that was completed. I should note that after 1.5 weeks my extensions were about 80% - I could have waited 3 weeks for a fill in since not much had fallen but since I wear false lashes, I'm a little OCD about my look! This place is AMAZING and affordable- the fact they are open 7 days a week is amazing as well! I'm a very happy client and will definitely be back. She is warm & friendly & very meticulous when it comes to her work. My extensions are cashmere mink natural look.
