I hadn't had a lash job in a few months and felt like switching it up a bit. Heading to my home area(I live on SoBe, from NY) for the beginning of vacation hoopla called for some accessories. Visiting with my bestie and a couple of girls in her building mentioned Glow. What a beautiful space! Incredible customer service...the start of a good experience. I ended up Laing an unusual choice...glam instead of classic. And 2 months later...I'm still thrilled. Do it! read more

Very bad experience! Booked makeup and hair for my daughter's prom just to see what they use on these poor teenagers faces as makeup... filthy used brushes and applicators used on others and not to mention old makeup! Absolutely disgusting!! (The poor moms trustingly drop off their little girls) and leave never witnessing the level of unsanitary and dirty products their girls are being subjected to! Nevermid that they charge $170 to apply germs in an unhygienic manner!!! No I did NOT allow them to touch my daughter's face! The owner herself handles money and goes right back to applying makeup without washing or sanitizing her hands. I will never go back! read more

I waited to post this review because I wanted to make sure that it was fair. Butchered, is the only word I can think of. On top of the technician being 10 minutes late with no prior client, the entire tail of my brow was taken off without permission. Then I was told I didn't walk in with that hair to begin with, it "looks fine" and it will "grow back fast". I had to ask for their makeup artist to teach me how to fill in my brows for the time being, no one even thought of it, everyone was just standing around looking while I was in tears. The owner didn't even come out to address anything (they asked if I wanted to see her..I don't even think that should be a question. And I'm sure now I'm that am writing a review she'll try and address it). Once the mistake was finally acknowledged I was offered a brow serum to help it grow back. But let's be serious, if those things even worked everyone would be walking around with full brows. Execution was poor, and the attempt at redemption was worse. Please reference the photos, one of which is me in tears IN the salon in tears. So, I'm not saying don't come here, I'm saying be weary and I hope your service goes the way you want it to. If not you'll be the one trying to fix it. read more

I went in for a set of lashes for an event. The make-up artist made me wait 15 minutes after my appointment time even though she was just sitting at the front desk on her phone. Her application was terrible. And the lashes were bad quality (paid for the mink lash application). The salon itself is dirty and disorganized. read more

Not a lot of reviews on here for facials so I'll start. My hydra facial was AMAZING. Maria showed me what she pulled out of my face and it was disgusting. I feel so clean and refreshed. I even sprung of the chemical peel. I feel like a million bucks. I'm going to try to make this part of a regular routine. Yes it's pricy but worth it. Do it. read more

I visited Glow Beauty Bar for a balayage and cut/blow out with Alli. She went above and beyond in making the experience welcoming and stress free. We spent time looking at photos and reviewing different toners and she nailed the exact look I wanted. Definitely book and appointment with her! I also just loved the salon experience. COVID protocols were taken seriously with temperature taking, mask wearing, and social distancing between chairs. Thank you for making my hair dreams come true, Alli!!! read more

The Cranford salon is super cute, decor is chic and elegant and has a Hollywood vibe aesthetically. I found their acrylic nail tech Stephanie on Instagram and loved her work so I looked into the salon. I planned to get an acrylic ombré full set so I booked her about 3 weeks in advance along with a gel pedicure, hybrid lash set and waxing. Unfortunately, Stephanie was out sick the day of my appointment which was disappointing but of course beyond anyone's control which I understood. The gel pedicure was standard, no complaints. I received a hybrid lash set from one of the apprentice lash technicians and it looked pretty decent when she finished, but the lashes started falling out the next day. I know how to care for lash extensions and have never had that many lashes fall out so quickly in the past. By the end of the week, it looked like I never got them done. I was very disappointed given the price point. I would not return for this service although the more experienced lash technicians may provide a better quality installation. I booked all of my services for the Cranford location. There was a mix up and I ended up having to go to the Edison location (which was being renovated) for my waxing services the next day which wasn't a huge deal since I'm equidistant from both locations. Erica is awesome! I typically go to European Wax Center and Erica's wax and overall technique is WAY less painful! Brazilians always hurt, but it was by far the least painful wax I have ever received. I also received an underarm and lower leg wax. I'd highly recommend her for waxing! Overall, the Cranford location is gorgeous but I probably won't be returning. I'll stick to the Edison location for waxing with Erica since it is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. read more

I was stood up by another MUA in Woodbridand i called Glow. They did everything to help me get an appointment. The best part is I got Maria to do my makeup. Very clean and very professional. Maria is also the sweetest person ever. To top it off the actual service i got was superb!!! If you need your make up down or lashes or hair or face you must go here. The lighting of their mirrors makes me want to buy one of them for my house. I was in a bind and desperate and Maria and Glow Beauty Bar made it happen. I also want to give a super about out to the guy who made my appointment. He is also VIP in my book. Going back to get my lashes done. Went back to get my lashes done by Shay and i love them to pieces. She took her time and explained to me what to do to maintain them. Such a great job and she accommodated me on a Sunday at 8am Because i had a full schedule. My new go to salon love love love!!! read more

I absolutely love this place! I don't even live in Jersey, I'm from Ohio. When I come in town I think of reasons to come in and get my makeup done by Maria. She is extremely down to earth and professional. I accidentally went to the wrong location that popped up on my GPS which had actually closed. When I finally got to the correct location I was about 15 min late and she still managed to fit me in. She will make you feel so beautiful, you won't be able to stop looking at urself! 10/10 read more

**Update: Owner reached out to me via text to fix the situation. Said she would get me in for another appointment at a discounted rate BUT nothing ‍. I followed up a few days after she reached out, she said she was still checking lash tech availability, still haven't heard back. I probably would've went back at some point if I was in a bind but now they've permanently lost my business** Went in for a classic fill, found out 45 min into my session that my lasher was still in school and was not licensed... A majority of my lashes fell out within 9 days. I went back and was told I would need to pay for a full set because less than 40% of my lashes were gone....even though I was there a week ago.... I said ok, but was then told my lasher had an upcoming appointment and could not complete the service I asked her to remove the lashes I had on and was still charged for the removal. I was getting ready to book a peel and a facial but this might have been the universe telling me ro read more

Way over priced for what you get I went for a simple thing Wash and blow dry my hair Took over and hour and was charged $65 Now ... I do have long hair past my shoulders BUT I get my hair washed and blow dried every week and decided today I would stay local and try a new place Every week at places in town and surrounding towns I pay $35 So why $65 here? The other places have me in and out with in 35 mins and charge $35 She did, once I complained drop it to $45 but none the less still over priced For what you get The stylist was lovely but didn't actually style my hair. Just blow dried it (no flip at the ends or anything) The website as I read it states $35 for blow dry Maybe I missed it but no where did I read "starting at $35" If I would have seen that I would not have went Update! Owner commented back and stated she would credit me the over change of $10 but never did BUT it's fine...keep the $10 I wouldn't be coming back either way Best of luck read more

Brought my 12 year old daughter for her very first "basic facial" last week. Kristina did an AMAZING job! She explained everything she was doing which made my girl feel so at ease and super relaxed. Kristina took the time to ask questions to understand my daughter's normal habits (hair products, skin care routine, problematic areas, etc.) and even made recommendations for a skin care regimen that is easy to follow for a 12 year old. My daughter said she felt like a "pampered Princess" and asked when we can go back! I would highly recommend Kristina for facials! Go see her and relax - you won't be disappointed! read more

I visited Glow to have my first full set of eyelashes applied. The salon is absolutely gorgeous. I was greeted by the super friendly Glow staff. The salon offers eyelash services, threading, makeup and waxing. Ashely applied my lashes and she did such an awesome job. I got #lashedbyAsh !!! She made sure I was comfortable throughout the application process which took approximately 1.5 hours. The lashes felt comfortable on my eyes and were not bothersome at all! These will last me about 2-3 weeks. (Check out my photos) Depending on which type of lashes you select they can range in price. Mine were $80 which I feel is fair especially because eye lash extensions can go up to $350 depending where you go. The lashes just open up your eyes and brighten your face to create a super fresh, awake look. I'm looking forward to waking up and putting on minimal make up! Thanks and best wishes, Tara B. read more

I called up today asking questions about extensions I had on at another salon. They were so sweet on the phone and explained that I'm not supposed to feel what I'm feeling. They were able to squeeze me in this evening for a removal and new lashes to be put on. Priya worked on my lashes. She worked so incredibly hard and was so knowledgeable and personable during the entire process. The other salon put so much glue on my lashes and glued my lashes together that it took Priya longer than normal to get all the glue off! I'm so I credibly thankful that I made that phone call this morning and that they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Thank you so much for all your hard work and incredible customer service! Service: Make-up I had my make up done by Maria. Maria is a well credentialed make-up artist. If I am giving an honest review it wasn't the best make-up I have ever had done but she still did a really good job. It took about 20 minutes. She was well equipped with fresh eyelashes, all brands of make-up, and used a high quality bronzer for a finishing touch. She knows how to contour and also get's your neck for blending! She did a fantastic job with eyeshadow color and lip color matching the skin tone. Overall, felt a little cakey and not as blended as I have had in previous experiences....but hey it's soft glam so meant to last all day - which it did! If you're looking for more subtle make-up make sure you communicate that :) Great location in Cranford - easily accessible, has EVERYTHING YOU NEED for beauty - plus lots of great staff. Cranford was in much need of a venue like this and happy to see them succeed. read more

Such a nice addition to the downtown cranford area! The place is very spacious and has a nice modern New York feel to it. I've gotten facials by Maria for years now and followed her here to her new location! The facials are next to none, and you feel like you just got a new layer of baby skin! I usually get the hydrafacial and add dermaplaning on. They usually have packages/sales for those so look out for it on their Instagram. I recently just got my teeth whiten their also by Alyssa and she rocked! She got all my caffeine stains out, and I napped during the whole process Also since I stayed longer then I was planning on, they went to extend my parking time outside for me and paid for it! read more

Would not recommend for brown women. ALOT of makeup was applied to my face and I left looking dull, ashy, and harsh. When I called to make my appointment, I specifically asked if they could do brown skin and they replied "Yes." My makeup session started 30 minutes late, which was an issue as I was heading to an event - so I felt rushed. In addition, during my session, I had to be subjected to employee conversations around compensation, new merchandise, trips to NY and other things I should not have been privy to. Overall not a good experience and I left thinking I should have just done my makeup myself. read more

(copy & pasted from google review) unfortunately it was my first time here and i won't be back. i went to melanie for a blowout and hair cut, at the beginning of the session i told her, please be careful with this piercing (conch) as it is very new and sensitive. during the entire time of her brushing my hair she wasn't gentle at all in that area, and when i was getting my hair washed, she raised the sink and it hit my piercing causing it to bleed and it will definitely now get an irritation bump, something i was trying really hard not to get as healing time will be more than a year. she didn't even say sorry or anything, just "i could never get my hair done with a new piercing." my earring back to another piercing went down the drain as well. i honestly should not have tipped, and i don't even think she expected one either. horrible experience here where my concern was not listened to. read more

Very nice place. I made appointment and I had to pay 50% of the service in advance (which was fine) the owner said that was to avoid last minute cancellations (less them 24 hours) unfortunately I had to canceled my apt 48 hours before, I thought I could be refund but the owner said "I would have a credit in her salon" . I just didn't feel that a fair way of doing business. If some happen and I canceled I can't get my money back? It's like I'm forced to come back to use they device or buy something. read more
