Great experience at Waves! First off the environment is absolutely stunning. Super chic! A few weeks ago I went in for the first time and had my hair trimmed by Lene. Before my trim, I had my hair washed by Fiona who gave a great scalp massage while she washed my hair. ALSO massage chairs at the shampoo station?! Game changer. Lene is so sweet and knowledgeable and I loved chatting with her. I have had my hair balayaged by a different stylist for several years at a different salon and was starting to become unhappy with how my hair was looking, so I had made mention that I would like to possibly change it up and when I was there for my trim I kind of mentioned what I was looking to do at a future appointment. I made an appointment to change up my hair from blonde balayage to something more me! I have been wanting my hair back to being more brunette for a bit now and Lene took my expectations for how I wanted my hair to look and exceeded them! I am absolutely in love with how my hair turned out and I cannot see myself going elsewhere now. You officially have me as a forever client! Thank you again! Loren

Have been going since they were In Clark, NJ. Alexis always does my hair. She wants my input each step of the way and we talk about what I want. She's so chill, not pushy or stubborn like some hair stylists. The new location in Cranford is great. Alexis used this hair oil on my once, it smells like an italian goddess! Im obsessed! They sell it discounted, less than Amazon

Kandice is great for a well-shaped cut, color and highlights. I highly recommend asking for her!

Visiting with my bestie and a couple of girls in her building mentioned Glow. What a beautiful space! Incredible customer service...the start of a good experience. I ended up Laing an unusual choice...glam instead of classic. And 2 months later...I'm still thrilled. Do it!

On top of the technician being 10 minutes late with no prior client, the entire tail of my brow was taken off without permission. Then I was told I didn't walk in with that hair to begin with, it "looks fine" and it will "grow back fast". I had to ask for their makeup artist to teach me how to fill in my brows for the time being, no one even thought of it, everyone was just standing around looking while I was in tears. The owner didn't even come out to address anything (they asked if I wanted to see her..I don't even think that should be a question. And I'm sure now I'm that am writing a review she'll try and address it). Once the mistake was finally acknowledged I was offered a brow serum to help it grow back. But let's be serious, if those things even worked everyone would be walking around with full brows. Execution was poor, and the attempt at redemption was worse. Please reference the photos, one of which is me in tears IN the salon in tears. So, I'm not saying don't come here, I'm saying be weary and I hope your service goes the way you want it to. If not you'll be the one trying to fix it.

I was recently going to Blush in Cranford and working specifically with Diana. She was doing an…read moreamazing glaze on my hair and in conversation we had talked about extensions and how she put them in to grow at her bob. I also currently have a bob and was looking for a more fun way to grow it out. I ultimately decided to have the extensions put in. They were fine to begin with. The cut that she gave me was terrible, it was like I had a mullet, super heavy in the back and just about no hair on the sides, other than my own. It was impossible to style without it looking like I clearly had poorly installed extensions. I had to go back twice. One of the clips was sticking in my scalp behind my ear. She fixed it, then I had to go back again because the bottom track was coming completely undone. About a week and a half later the entire bottom row came completely out. I had to remove all the extensions myself because it just looked ridiculous. Almost $1000 between product, installation, glaze on the extensions (that didn't need it) and a cut and blowout. I messaged them to cancel future appointments and let them know what had happened. Of course they wanted me to come in to fix it, but at that point I had already taken them out and have a terrible taste in my mouth about the entire experience. At the very least, they should've offered me some money back for my troubles...they didn't. I definitely will not be going back and definitely will not be referring them to anyone.

Gabby is incredible and I LOVE how she treated my hair…read more Long review and Details..... I've been getting my blonde hair done for over 15 years so have been to tons of salons, seen many stylists, and have had every technique under the sun done to my hair during blonding sessions. When you've had this much experience getting hair done there are certain things you look for that really set apart some stylists from the rest. Two of the main things which I really appreciated from Gabby during my babylight session was that 1) she took out the beginning foils about halfway through her foiling [when you have thick hair or are getting lots of foils this is almost always a necessity to avoid over processing in the starting sections] and 2) she took me back to the chair to properly give my shadow root, during which she was super meticulous to leave out the money piece section until the end [lots of stylists will have you hover over the shampoo bowl uncomfortably while they slap the toner on]. It's little things like these that build my trust in a stylist and I VERY much appreciated. I'm picky and am usually one and done with most salons when trying somewhere new because I'll walk out with splotchy spots or overprocessed/overtoned hair [don't even get me started on my horror show of an appointment at Cranford's Hair Studio 924]. I can say I'm confident I found my forever hair home at Blush. Other things which didn't affect my hair specifically but made a great experience was that Gabby is also one cool chick. She wasn't overly chatty (bless these stylists for working and talking in masks all day) but just enough to be friendly and avoid too long of silence. The salon is adorable and could be pictured in an anthropologie magazine. Chalk it up to the quarantine rules [less people = more personal hair attention], relief of finally being rid of quarantine hair [I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror], but everything about my visit was wonderful and I left one very happy customer!
