After scoping this place out for some time now as I live in the area I decided to give it a try and I'm so happy I did ! I was in search for a new stylist and I got multiple quotes and they all quoted me over 500$ as I'm a Vivid red girl ! So I decided to book a consultation and I was wowed afterwards ! I waited a couple minutes to be seen by the owner Elianae for a consultation and she instantly catered to my needs , it was super quick with an amazing price I had to book ! Appointment day came and as soon as I walked threw the door I was already greeted and in a chair with a towel around my neck and service already started ! I love a quick stylist who just gets to the program lol , my appointment was for 230 and by 3pm I was already halfway bleached ! She works super fast ! After shampoo and color applied her assistant gave me an amazing shampoo and scalp massage to die for ! I was so happy with the results , it's exactly what I wanted and already will be back soon for a wash and blow dry from her assistant lol definitely my new spot and recommend everyone try this place out ! read more

Let's start first with the salon appearance. The place is clean and chic inside. My first time coming in here and I choose the any stylist option so I ended up with one who talked the whole time about how she burned her own hair with all of the color jobs she did (which was evident) that was strike one. Strike 2: I opted to go dark and my "stylist" went on to slap a color on without letting me know what color she chose. Is it dark brown, is it jet black? A mystery! Then while applying the color she would spray my head with water and then pull and tug my hair with a brush painfully. Strike 2: After the color was applied no timer was set, I wasn't advised when I would be done and my stylist sat down and completely ignored me while the other stylists spoke ill of other customers. Strike 3-After getting my hair washed my stylist tells me I didn't schedule a blow out but she'll do it for me anyway then proceeds to yank my mask, hold the hairdryer so close to my head I was sure to be melting and again with the hair pulling. Only to end with a color I didn't choose with my hair looking dull. Don't waste your money-go elsewhere. By far, the worst salon I have ever been to. Scheduling another location now to fix this mess. read more

I've been a client at Lox for about 2 years now and seriously will not let anyone else touch my hair. Nichole is absolutely amazing at color and cuts--over the last year and half, Nichole has been able to take my hair from bright box dye red (a covid quarantine decision lol) to a beautiful, dimensional blonde with minimal damage to my hair. I am totally at ease to have finally found a salon that understands my wants and can treat my hair with the most utmost care. Before coming to Lox, I had been going to a salon in Edison that specializes in Asian hair, but when I wanted to color my hair, they would utilize a bleaching process that wound take up to 6 hours for the desired color. NO THANK YOU TO THAT! So, I did a lot of Yelp and IG searching for a salon that looked like they wound give me what I wanted. Luckily I found Lox's business card in my wallet and decided to check them out. OMG the amazing cuts and colors that they can do we're so appealing. Right away I booked with Eliana for a full balayage session. Booking was easily done online and always good to see prices shown because you know how many times I got something done and pay more than was advertised on their site?! crazy mess lol Though my appointment didn't start around the scheduled time, which was TOTALLY FINE with me. We just had a snow storm I didn't expect things to be on time anyways. Eliana apologized, and offered coffee/tea while I was waiting. It gave me time to admire how beauty the salon was; so glamorous yet simple. LOVE IT! I want to say it took Eliana about 3 hours to color my hair. Honestly i wasn't really keeping count, but it was a lot faster than I hoped for. Eliana took a quick look at my inspiration picture and knew exactly what to do. She explained the steps of lightening my hair thoroughly and put me at ease that my hair is in great hands. Overall staff was totally amazing! Wanted to donate my hair by the end of the year and I found out that Lox works with the foundation, Wigs for Kids who provides hair replacement for kids that lost their hair due to chemotherapy and other medical issues. I've been looking for a new salon to go to, and I was in luck when I found Eliana! I serendipitously bumped into her at Lox and realized that I used to go to her when she was at another salon, and I have to say, I didn't realize how much I missed her hospitality and easy to talk to personality. The salon itself is absolutely beautiful and I loved the color bar in the back. The gray, white, black and pink accented theme is so welcoming and relaxing! The staff there is friendly and easy to talk to. I came here for a haircut and a partial balayage. I have black asian hair so it is hard to color, so after testing a couple places out, this is the one place I would love to come back to! I came in on a Friday and of course, my hair came out a little orange (as it typically does when colored) and she immediately welcomed me back to glaze it the next day, with also drying it completely, and curling it a bit so I could see it!
