Don't bother bringing your computer here. It's a scam. They tell you one price over the phone then another when u get here. I can only speak for my experience explained below
Brought a 15" macbook in, told it's was like $70 to fix, then blah blah blah, it's not that but this, so it was like $90.00 then upped it $150.00 then finally 200.00 exactly 29 days later.
They had to diagnosis it, take it apart, blamed it on memory then video then hard drive, gave me the excuse after excuse.
When I went to pick it up, my screen was working there @ the business but I had no freaking hard drive. I asked where is it, they said it was bad, offered to put it back in, but not mines, it was a bad hard drive from someone else's computer! Can u believe that? They took my hard drive and more than likely used it for another customers computer and blamed it on the hard drive. Fine, I'll take a working computer, ebayed an toshiba had for $50.00, no biggie. Once installed the lines on the screen came back, first time I booted it on.
I was a computer technician a couple years back but familiar with windows laptop, sure apple is similar but has lilttle difference. Deceitful business practice, they cheated me, if you bring in your computer don't let them do the same to you. I'm out a macbook and $216.00 to laptop asset and 55.00 for an hard drive. Take it from my experience, go elsewhere for computer service, as to buying anything used from there, it might work properly cause they prolly yanked it from working machines. read more
