Great find in the theater district! Came here after a Broadway show on a Sunday afternoon. It was raining so we were doing a search of places nearby. It came up in our search that they offer a free espresso martini if you have a same day theater ticket. We called to confirm and then walked over. Very lovely and large space inside. The staff was attentive and friendly and helpful with our questions. This whiskey-based espresso martini is SO GOOD. Might be one of the best I've had. We also ordered food - reuben sandwich (includes fries), burger with added cheese (also includes fries). We took advantage of the all day Sunday happy hour by ordering an additional drink. Unfortunately it turns out the "house" whiskey ginger I ordered is made with Maker's Mark so it cost more than I was looking to spend. (I didn't know this until after we got the bill. I should have confirmed price first, then I would have ordered something else instead.)

Fun, festive busy Irish bar in midtown NYC. Would recommend if you are a meat eater and/or like Irish food. I didn't see much I wanted to try. The cocktails I tried were pretty but very sweet.

I visited Langans for the first time with my coworkers for dinner. The restaurant is close by time square so very convenient to walk over from the office. They had lots of space for large parties. We make a reservation same day and they have availability to accommodate us. The restaurant was busy. They had music on but we were able to have conversations. I had the Ceasar salad and it was good but it had too much dressing. Next time I would order the dressing on the side. My coworker was raving about the onion soup sandwich. Everyone was happy with the food that we ordered and we do plan on returning.

I love being greeted and seated right away, especially when I don't have a reservation. If you're heading to see a show, getting a good meal beforehand is a must. Come eat here, and I promise you'll enjoy your show without blaming yourself for sitting through a two-hour Broadway performance on an empty stomach.Langan's currently has a Fall Prix Fixe menu that's a great deal. I love saving money, and I don't know anyone who doesn't, so definitely check out the prix fixe option. Make sure to save room for dessert because I have a weakness for bread pudding--and the Sticky Toffee Pudding was absolutely delectable. Do yourself a favor and come here before your show so you can truly enjoy the experience.

Spacious and warm setting with attentive service. It is listed as a steakhouse, but overall it has a large bar set up that was comfortable. The ahi tuna app was spectacular. The reuben spring rolls were quality but a tad bland and the wrap for it wasn't very crispy. The menu overall has a nice layout of some unique and varied food options.

A classy, Irish-American restaurant that offers a mix of classic Irish mains, and unique flatbread and appetizer options. The bar offers a lot of seating and the bartenders are extremely attentive. Highly recommend. Tip: if you are watching a broadway show, show your ticket to get a free Irish coffee martini!

We came here right when they opened at 11:30am on a Saturday for brunch. Surprisingly, we're the only ones in here for about an hour! I love the way they decorated the place. It's very cute. It was extraordinarily clean, especially for a restaurant near Times Square. Our server was Francesca. She was amazing! She was very attentive, and sweet. We got the croque madam, omelette, and French toast. We also had the purple haze cocktail and a coffee. I was surprised to find the coffee was VERY good. We drank it black. And as far as cocktails go, it was perfectly balanced and refreshing. One of the best cocktails I've had near Times Square. All of the food was seasoned perfectly, and was delicious. We got the chocolate mousse for desert, and even that was top notch! It wasn't too sweet, and it was the perfect amount for 3 of us to have a couple of bites and be satisfied. Overall, a great experience!

I came here before watching Maybe Happy Ending. It's such a great place! I'd love to come back. I walked in and was firstly struck by how beautiful it is inside! The high ceilings, wood, leather, herringbone wood floors, I'm all for it. The hostess took me to a table in the back and kindly asked if I wanted to be seated in a quieter area. So thoughtful! The waitress was wonderful too! Since I was seeing a show, I was able to show my ticket and get a free espresso martini! Not only was it free but it was delicious! Probably the best espresso martini I've ever had. It was strong (alcohol wise) but not enough to have you questioning your life choices and strong espresso wise. The caesar salad was excellent too! Such a great experience! Thank you, Langan's!

What a hidden gem. Service was great, and the food was delicious and not expensive. The margherita pizza kid's meal was huge. From the French onion soup to Shepherd's Pie to the steak, everything was great, even though the chicken tenders were sort of tasteless. I was impressed with the old-school British pub scene- Cute!

After seeing a show nearby we came here since it was nearby and I've heard great things about it. the place is huge inside! we had a reservation but opted to sit at the bar. we grabbed the first 2 seats which were great. when I walked to the bathroom I realized that the bar was enormous and wrapped around all the way to the back and around to the front on the other side. it happened to be happy hour PLUS they had a QR code where you write a google review for a free Irish coffee martini...done! we both did that immediately. I need to log back in and update that review. the martini's were amazing!!! the food highlight were the Reuben spring rolls..wow..they were phenomenal! we also shared fish and chips which were yummy definitely put this on your list of places to check out in NYC

This place had awesome reviews on google. It was good but somewhat of a let down. The tables are packed in so I'm assuming it gets very crowded. The food came out very fast- too fast we reallly didn't have much time to sit around and enjoy. I think we were in and out within the hour and we took our time. The reuben egg rolls were absolutely amazing! Everything else we had was ok- cobb salad, chicken sandwich and burger. Good for a quick bite but if you want ambience and people watching this is not the place.

what a sweet surprise this location was! We made the mistake of not having a reservation for any restaurant for dinner on our first night in town. We called Langans and they added us to the list for a table within 45 minutes. It allowed us to walk from our hotel to their location and our table is ready by the time we got to the restaurant. We started off with the Reuben spring rolls. They were very good. My parents had the French Onion Soup and the Seafood Chowder. They both finished their bowls and shared a burger. They enjoyed everything. I got the sausage rolls and they reminded me of the ones found in the pubs of England/Ireland. Warm with a crispy crust. My mom also said their fries are some of the best she's ever had. A great find in a central location. Warm and inviting with a hint of vintage Europe.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious.
