First of all, I'm VERY picky about my burgers. But I'd heard some good things about Landmark. OMG they were ALL true. First off, the ambiance is totally not what you'd expect. Very cool place. Second, our server, Miranda, was a TOTAL rockstar. Very sweet, kind, and professional but more personable. Great balance. When we sat down, we looked at the amazing amount of choice, yet were not overwhelmed. I ordered the Landmark Burger. There's no problems or anything with this place. I've never had a bad experience; the food is always great, the drinks are always made right, and the service is outstanding. Landmark is a popular spot yet there's always parking. A beautiful family friendly spot. I went to lunch with my daughter as many other parents were there with their children. The service was good and the server was very professional and polite. The food was great. I got the Veggie black bean burger- the fries were perfect. My kiddo got the boneless wings with carrots- she ate every last bite and commented on how delish they were. This is one of the closer places to me that I hadn't tried before. It always looked inviting when passing by, and I finally got to visit it. it's tucked into a small shopping center at the intersection of two county roads. They have just a few beers on tap, but one of them was a local favorite and go-to: the Kold One. Some nice looking options caught my eye, but I was thinking burger. I almost went with the standard one, where I pick the add-ons, but then spotted the Landmark Burger, which sounded delicious. And it was. Pinkies at the back of the bottom bun held it together. I think I put it down twice to wipe my hands, grab a fry or two, and a sip of my beer. Just the way I like it. It was lunchtime and not too busy. My wife and I stumbled on Landmark Grill on our drive north on the Taconic. It's a small pub-like place with the usual basic American menu you'd expect. A handful of local beers, good looking burgers and other "the usual" entrees, and friendly attentive service. I enjoyed their ribeye cheesesteak, which was delicious (and enough for two meals). My wife had the ahi tuna, which she said was perfectly cooked (rare) and had a lovely dressing. Our server, Miranda, was a pleasure to work with and highly attentive. I'm adding this restaurant to one of my local favorites. They nailed one of my favorite dishes... Scallops...absolutely delicious! The pictures listed in this review are from several occasions. I have to say, every dish is absolutely delicious. I was impressed how they accommodate and modify dishes due to dietary restrictions. The chicken Saltimbocca was absolutely delicious... A 10. The lights on the ceiling were really pretty, and I would suggest taking it a step further with the ambiance. (Maybe tablecloths or room dividers of some sort.) I've had food from Landmark Grill a few times--mostly takeout, but I did sit in the dining room once. The food is consistently solid, with a menu full of variety that lets me try something different each time. So far, I haven't had a single disappointing dish. When I dined in, I was impressed by the spacious setup; tables weren't packed together, making it a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy. The service was friendly, and the bread they served with drinks was excellent--whether it's made in-house or from a local bakery, it's a standout. My one critique? The meatball appetizer. It tasted great, but they sliced the meatballs in half to fill out the plate. I'd rather have smaller meatballs or a smaller plate; I like my portions whole, not like a pre-sliced donut in the break room. It's a bit pricey for the area, but I guess that's the direction we're heading in as a whole. read more

The Landmark was busy for a Tuesday! It took us a little while to be greeted and seated and to get our drink orders taken, but they brought out bread when they took our drink orders. The food, though, was very good, and the waitstaff was doing their very best to get to everyone as quickly as possible. I went with a friend to have lunch today 6/17 and will NEVER go back. I got the steak sandwich on a gluten free bun which when I cut into it, it was loaded with mold...dark green mold. The person who prepared my lunch should NOT work in a kitchen. There is no way he or she did not see this. I worked in food service for 36 years and this never happened. My only regret is I did not take a picture to send to the Board of Health. Beware is you eat here. The only reason I even gave a one star is because it would let me post without a star. So this place is the old location of Carlo's (Italian restaurant). They remodeled a few things inside but most of the setup stayed intact. They have a wide variety of food choices and with daily specials. Full bar plus 6 or so beers on tap. Nothing to rave about but definitely can find something to enjoy. They do not have bottled beers. My hubby and I came here with another couple. We waited for about 30 minutes for outdoor seating, we didn't mind since we waited by the bar with some drinks. Between us, we had ahi tuna tacos (very good even though I'm not a fan of corn wrap), french onion soup (a bit salty), lobster roll (meaty, nice flavor) with fries (very good fries), chicken sandwich, and buratta (very good). This has quickly become my favorite bar/restaurant across Dutchess, Putnam & Westchester Counties. The menu and food is tier 1. I've had everything from the lobster roll, to the baked penne vodka with mozz and meatballs, to Nashville hot chicken sandwich to the Prime Rib. Oysters and burrata are my go to apps. The drinks and service are also phenomenal. The family that runs the place really care how your experience is which makes everything that much better. When the weather is nice there's nothing better than playing a round at Baird and dropping into Landmark for food and drink right after. I can't recommend this place enough. Stumbled upon this place on our way to VT. I feel like I hit the lotto! We were seated right away and were served a fresh baked loaf of bread on a cutting board. You hardly ever see that anymore! Nice touch! The decor was great. Our server was very nice although after our food came out we didn't see her again until we got our check. You don't need to check on me 3x during my meal but at least once would have been great. I ordered the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. What I loved about it was the chicken. It was freshly grilled. So many times you go somewhere and they slap a 4 hour old grilled chicken on a salad and call it good. The portion was also excellent as well. What I didn't like about it was their interpretation of a Cobb salad. I'm not sure there's a "definition" of what a Cobb salad should be but I've always had avocado and tomato along with the hard boiled egg and bacon. Their salad was mixed greens a hard boiled egg bacon and walnuts. Don't get me wrong, it was good, I just missed having tomato and avocado. In their defense the menu clearly states what's in it, it's my fault for assuming that it was a "typical" Cobb salad. We were in and out in 45 minutes and the food was solid. Went with a friend for lunch, 6/17. Only two other couples there so it was not busy at all. The waitress was very pleasant taking our orders. I ordered BBQ wings and onion rings while my friend ordered the Steak sandwich. I also asked for a Mai Tai, I never had one and wanted to try it. When the food arrived my friend took a bite of the sandwich quickly discovering the entire inside of the roll was filled with mold. There is absolutely not possible, had the preparer been paying attention, to miss that amount of mold on a sandwich. The waitress was very apologetic but at no time dd anyone from the kitchen come out to apologize or offer an explanation. My wings and onion rings were ok (overpriced) and while the drink I ordered was good I know now it was not a mai tai, (also overpriced). won't ever go back and recommend you stay away. Board of health needs to go in to check them out. One star for the waitress; I feel sorry she works there. read more

We've been here before and had a good meal so when our family was in town, we decided to bring them to dinner here. My nephews ordered Sierra Mist and basically got club soda. There was no flavor at all. My mom and I ordered the Bucatini Garlic & Oil with Shaved Parmigiana Cheese. Supposedly homemade pasta. Was it ...? I don't know but it tasted like the store bought Bucatini I got a few weeks ago. There was no cheese on it at all and when I asked for it, I basically got shaker cheese - definitely not freshly shaved. Not sure how long the garlic was roasted for, but it was bitter. My husband and son ordered the -- Sizzling Steak with the same bitter "roasted" garlic and shrimp (which was over cooked). The steak had zero flavor to it. They love their steaks and order whenever we go out so they definitely know how it should taste. The spinach artichoke dip (another favorite when we go out) was cold and flavorless as well. We asked to split the bill for the three parties we had but the waitress said she could only do two checks...? Strange but, ok..... Just not an impressive visit this time, unfortunately. read more

Service had been slow on certain nights, but over all the drinks are perfect! Food was really good. It has less seating as Carlos but that made it very comfortable. Family friendly.
