No idea where to start. This place is incredible. The entrance is so unique and very cool. Then you enter the main room (after passing the "cartel" room. The service was world class. The food as well. Great small plate selection. We tried several plates and drinks and each was as good as the other. Amazing selection of tequila and tequila bars craft cocktails. Also an amazing Whiskey collection. Make a reservation as the place is busy and deservedly so. Best new bar in the valley. GO!!!!

The private room available for rentals.

Lalo delivers a fun, immersive speakeasy experience from the moment you walk in -- the cave entrance sets the mood before you even reach the beautifully decorated bar. The tableside guac is a must, and we also tried the queso, which was good and perfect for sharing. Service was friendly and attentive. Our favorite drink was the Smoked Peaches & Cream -- the smoky mezcal paired perfectly with the sweet peach, and the presentation made it even more memorable. The mango cantarito and guava margarita were okay, but not a standout or something I would order again. It's on the pricier side, and you're paying more for the atmosphere and experience than exceptional cocktails. They also showed us a private group room available to rent out. Not somewhere I feel the need to revisit, but I'm glad we went once for the experience.

If you're anywhere near Eagle or Boise and not eating at Lalo Cantina, you're doing it wrong. The tableside guacamole is 12/10 and the ceviche is to die for--fresh, flavorful, and made with serious intention. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. Our waitress Dayna was an absolute gem--attentive, warm, and genuinely made the experience special. The manager Ethan is amazing and clearly runs a tight ship while keeping the vibe welcoming and fun. And the owners? Incredible humans. The hospitality here is truly outta this world--you feel it the moment you walk in. We ate in the Cartel Room, which is hands-down the coolest private room in Boise. Perfect atmosphere, great energy, and an unforgettable setting. Food, service, hospitality, and ambiance--Lalo Cantina nails all of it. We'll be back... a lot.

More than a cantina... it's an experience! From the time you enter the door to the cave until you leave, it is truly an experience unlike anything I have experienced! First off, I would definitely recommend making reservations as space is limited. Food: 3.5/5. There are not many food options, so I would not recommend coming if you are hungry and plan on eating before or after. On that note, the food was just ok. The guacamole was pretty good, but smaller than I thought it would be. The ceviche was pretty spicy and didn't do it for me. I was really sad they didn't have the churros or fried ice cream for dessert. We had the truffles though that were great! There was a spicy one that reminded me of a Mexican mocha that was my favorite. Service: 5/5. The service was amazing. We were seated fairly quickly with our reservations and our server was super nice and helpful. Atmosphere: 5/5. What a cool spot! It is unlike any other place I've been. I feel like it would be a place in Disneyland - magical and takes you to another world.

Funny how the troll accounts come out when a new place opens up. Evident here. But despite this, had to try. Same owners as the speakeasy Gatsby and Sid's Garage downtown. And because of this, a lot of similarities with Gatsby's. Windowless, unique glassware, and finishing touches on the cocktails. Makes for a fun and unique experience. A+ for the decor and transformation into Mexico. The cave entrance into the bar is one of a kind. Felt like I was a kid again back at Knott's Berry Farm. YKYK. The bar is so well decorated. Great job with the murals, candles, and the vibe. Our server, Dayna, was a doll (sound like an old man). She was sweet, fun, and very nice. Great service. Dining options are limited but we were prepared from some of the other reviews. You don't come here for the food, yet. Tried the table side guac and pico de gallo with the "famous" chips. The chips are good and obviously fresh, yet a bit too salty for me. Doesn't make them bad, just made our mouths pucker at the end. The cocktails helped with that :-). Portions aren't huge but again, not here to eat a meal. Flavors are there so it was good. I had a guava margarita that was yummy. Drinking from a glass straw is fun. The Diablo margarita was also good. Unique add with the wine to offset the pepper. I also tried their brown butter old fashioned. Wow, what a sweet and flavorful twist. This was almost like a dessert rather than a cocktail. A+ for presentation. I took a video but it didn't come out very well with the dim lighting. I saw the previous review about the merchant fee on the check (3%). Normally not a big deal, passing the fee on to the users. I get it. But I researched it. I Wonder why they're adding it even when they don't know if I'm paying with cash or a debit card? Double-edged sword I guess. Either raise your prices to cover or add it to the check. Ignorance is bliss in my opinion. Looks odd on a check.

We were super excited to make and confirm reservations at Lalo on Halloween night. My wife never has the day after Halloween off so it was definitely special. I had made reservations about a week in advance for a table and were offered either to sit at the bar or a table. I made the mistake of not being steadfast with my reservation-more about shortly The service is phenomenal and we were led through a cave and we stopped a special booth reserved for club members. That's cool. The bar room with booths, tables and high chaired stools at the bar. After walking past several empty booths and tables and seeing our two chairs at the bar, I had immediate regret. We asked if we could change, but it was too late and that's a shame since we originally booked a table. My reservation number was 7WS9Y8MJBJ6 We sat at the right side end of the bar and while we had an amazing view of the bar back and bartenders in their on point Halloween costumes that intimate date night we were looking for was out the window faster than Uncle Rico touchdown pass to Napoleon. Our bartender who was dressed as Sally from a Nightmare before Christmas was so nice and entertained all my questions even while she was busy making and pour drinks. She was an all-star. I ordered table-side guacamole since their menu offerings were not quite yet finalized. The guacamole cart and gentleman came. He put the chips next to wife and I. He said something that I couldn't understand and I really appreciated his patience as after the third time he was able to let me know in my ear that the chips were fried in beef tallow. Glad he told me because had I not waited for him to say something, I would have had some severe cramps as I haven't had meat or meat by products in six years. The team at Lalo completely understood and was so nice about everything. My drinks were fabulous. Can't rave enough about them all. I think my favorite was the Oaxaca Old Fashioned and least favorite was a beer - chaser in a can wrapped in paper bag. I get thats the theme but I looked like a complete idiot with a brown paper bag with a beer can inside. As an overall visit, Lalo is a lot of fun and we will be back.

3.5 stars Atmosphere was great - Regional Mexican music, dim lighting, fantastic mural, Talavera Mexican tiles throughout. We sat at the bar, chairs are spaced well to allow for privacy and not feel overcrowded. No napkins provided at the bar, aside from drink napkins; would have liked to receive cloth napkins. The drink presentation was excellent, but the strength of the drinks did not match the ambiance. The Pickle-Rita had more lime flavor than pickle and the other drinks didn't have much of a punch. The homemade beef tallow chips were the star of the show, truly delicious. Guac and pico de gallo had great flavor, but portions were small. Lastly, the merchant fee on the final check was a surprise and is a unique choice for an upscale establishment. This is something expected to be built into the pricing of menu items.

What a great little Gem in Eagle. I already made reservations for December and January. Awesome to not have to drive all the way into Boise for a cute little place to relax with friends.

This place is awesome! The space almost feels like you're in a cave, which is such a cool touch, and the dim, intimate lighting really enhances the ambiance. The menu is incredibly creative, and every drink we tried was delicious and thoughtfully crafted. The cocktails did take a little while to get to us, but they were well worth the wait. We ordered the tableside guacamole and chicharrones--both tasted fresh and paired perfectly with our cocktails. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly knew their tequilas, which made the experience even better.

If you're in the mood for a new bar, this is the place! Just a heads-up, though, it's not a restaurant, so don't expect a full meal. You'll find chips, guacamole, and prawns for $4ea. The drinks are pretty good and not too expensive. The vibe is great, but the music is a bit loud, so conversations can be challenging. Just don't come hungry! I'd rather go to Mesa Tacos or even Chapala's, where we can get a good drink and food.

All I can say is wow!! This place is really cool. From the moment you walk through the front door and then walking though a cave like hallway to get to the bar. Definitely didn't feel like I was anywhere in Idaho. The drinks and apps were amazing too. Definitely an experience and this will be a place we visit often.

The thing that jumped out at me was the photo of the burger, now call me crazy but I think at this point I can look at a menu, photos of food and then the reviews to guide me. Yelp hasn't failed me yet! The first thing was walking in the door there were two hostess who smiled and greeted me. We were seated at the bar since there were just two of us. I ordered the Crave burger with bacon and my guest ordered the house salad with tortilla soup. Everything was excellent! The burger was juicy, flavorful, the bacon was perfectly crispy, Smokey and the white cheddar cheese was the perfect compliment! Now let's talk about the bun, I typically don't eat burger buns but this one was the exception to the rule. It was homemade obviously, buttery, light, and toasted to perfection. I ate both of them! Hahahaha! I felt so dirty typing that the French fries were crispy, just the right amount of salty and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My guest agrees with everything in this review. The house salad was fresh, the vinaigrette was homemade and delicious and the tortilla soup was even great! The ambience was a place you could have a business meeting or take your significant other on a date night. There is literally something for everyone on their crave-able menu ( see what I did there?) Our server who was the bartender kept our glasses full and made sure he checked on us often. I found my new burger spot in Eagle, Idaho?!?! Five stars.

Corner Hustle - Outside

My friend and I went to the Corner Hustle Bar Friday 10/27 after going to a local restaurant. This…read morewas the weekend before Halloween. I had never been to this bar but my friend had done some work events here. She got a glass of her usual Pinot Grigio as wine is all she drinks. We had a nice time chatting and she then wanted a second glass of wine. I too, had a second cocktail. The bartender brought Chardonnay to her and then realized it was not the wine she originally had. She asked my friend if she wanted to drink it or if she would like the Pinot Grigio. My friend kindly said, "I prefer the Pinot". Although the bartender didn't appear upset, she abruptly threw the wine into the sink, possibly irritated. She then went out of sight to the kitchen where she was pouring Costco boxed wine. I thought this was odd that they would have Costco boxed wine and that it was stored and poured in the kitchen, being that this was a bar. I have lived in many states and this is something that I have never seen done, but all states have different rules about liquor and wine. Shortly into the second glass of wine, my friend's behavior began changing. She was about 1/3 into the glass, and she suddenly seemed to become heavily sedated, as if she had been drugged. Her speech was very slurred and it seemed her motor skills were very impaired. I had never seen her like this. She can easily handle a bottle of wine, as can I, without incident. We didn't engage much with anyone except a man who came in to get his missing phone. He was mostly talking to the bartender but we briefly chatted with him. People came in and out of the bar with costumes and spoke to the bartender and ordered drinks, to the left of my friend's seat. Nothing appeared to be out of order except my friend appeared very impaired. She went downhill quickly only partially through that second glass of wine. My friend was very incoherent at this point and she became paranoid which is totally out of character for her. She thought the bartender and man next to her were laughing at her. She actually started crying saying, "They're laughing at me. They're laughing at me". I assured her they were not. I then encouraged me friend to get up and we would go use the bathroom. She had apparently lost all control of her legs because when she got up from the seat she instantly collapsed to the floor like a rag doll. It was shocking. I had to help her up from the floor and into the restroom. To my utter shock she did not even recognize me saying, "Who are you? Where's bunny? You're not bunny!". It was bizarre. I was very concerned since I have never seen her like this and we are both seasoned and regular nightly wine drinkers for many years. Many concerned patrons came up to me to try to help. When we finally came out of the bathroom I said to the bartender, "I have never seen my friend like this. I think she may have been drugged. This doesn't make sense." The bartender seemed quite dismissive and replied, "Oh no, I just gave her a heavy pour." Yes, the wine glass did appear more full than a standard pour but my friend again is a veteran drinker and I have seen her drink two or even three glasses of wine and be completely fine. I thought it was interesting that the bartender would say such a thing and so quickly dismiss my suspicion. I also found it odd that she had thrown the wine abruptly into the sink. I also find it suspect that the wine is not being held behind the bar where customers can watch it being poured. Instead it is poured in another room out of sight. While I have no proof and did not witness any foul play I am sure that somebody slipped something into my friend's drink. She was not drunk. She appeared to be drugged. Was it a patron? The man who came back for his phone? Or another partygoer in a costume? That may be possible I suppose but her wine glass was within my view the entire time and I saw nothing suspect. Either way, I believe she was drugged. Again, I have NEVER seen my friend like this. She has NO memory of that night. All of that from a glass and a half of wine? I don't think so. Either way, I cannot recommend this establishment and I will never return based on this experience. It was a very dark experience and I regret ever going out that night. This situation has created huge tension between her husband and I since I am the one who returned her home in this condition. And this tension seems to have caused a rift in our relationship as well. I have reached out to her multiple times and no response. This event not only traumatized her but it traumatized her husband, myself, and my husband as well. It appears to have caused a rift in all of our relationships. It is hard to believe that someone would do such a horrible thing. Apparently I have run out of characters but I am not quite done. I have uploaded and image which is a screen shot of the rest of the story of the incident.

I don't smoke, & sensitive to all types of smoke...so I'd thought I'd have issues here... but their state of the art air purification system really works! Every staff member (as well as patrons) I met were all genuinely friendly, & full of ideas of drinks to try. I highly recommend this as another downtown Eagle destination, even if u don't smoke, or u smoke but don't want to drink...as the cozy yet ample enviro lends itself to both intimate as well as group gatherings. I appreciate that I can bring my own food in, & that there is both indoor as well as outdoor seating. I rate it as very accessible, as multi seat types, multi entrances, spacious interior & exterior. Honestly it was nice to not feel rushed... & it was fairly quiet yet lively while I was there both times... so u can actually hear who u are talking to, unlike many restaurants (& coffee shops). Shout out to the great new GM & both bartenders who were very patient with this self proclaimed high interest low liquor knowledge gal
