Love this Pub! Joy was bartending and was so friendly and quick service. We didn't have food this time but we will on our next visit. The bar felt like exactly what we needed. The outdoor space in the back is incredible if you like having fun. There are all sorts of options for seating, metal table, wood bar tops, cushioned chairs. Yard games, beach volleyball, ping pong, corn hole. We are just visiting but if/when we move to town, this would be our local hangout. read more

I would give them 0 stars if possible. I went in with my service dog and was told there were no dogs allowed, even service dogs. My service dog is trained for mobility and I'm an amputee. This was by far one of the worst experiences I've had at a bar. We got there around 3-3:30ish and there there was maybe a couple of other people in the bar area. They have the virtual juke box and decided to spend the money to play music that we enjoyed. We bought 30 total credit which is equivalent to about 15 songs. About 5 five songs in one of the bartenders came up to us and asked that if we were playing music. We told her yes we bought the credits and put songs on there she told us that if we kept playing "heavy metal" she would skip our songs and that we should be more mindful of the people around us because they had their summer kick off (started at 6). She didn't skip any of the songs and was actually singing the songs we were playing. The second time she came and talked to us she told us that she was skipping all of our songs. I tried speaking to her respectful stating that it was a first come first service basis and if a customer wanted to play a song they could add it to the list and/or pay the additional charge to move it to the top of the list. She then replies, "sure if you want to be dick about it." Word of advice if you're having an event and want certain music to be played don't give the consumer the ability to pick the songs. I will not be returning and don't recommend anyone visiting this establishment. read more

This is one of my goto spots. The customers are always friendly and interesting to hang with. My favorite thing is Joy Wilkins that works behind the bar. Easily the worst bar experience I've ever had in 20+ years. Went from bad to worse. To start, couldn't or wouldn't make an old fashioned due to not having the ingredients(bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters). The gal taking our food order didn't write down our order and came back twice to ask for our order again. My wife ordered the loaded tater tots per the recommendation of the employee and she received loaded fries. I had to ask a third time for our appetizer to be ordered. The tater tots that came with the burger were the highlight of the food. Three employees and not a single ID was checked all night...not to mention the signage on the front door about attire allowed in the bar is not enforced whatsoever. The topper to our night was having a severely overserved customer helped himself to the seat next to my wife. After insulting my wife, she told him to leave the table and he refused. So after putting hands on my wife, I intervened and let him know who I was and he'd be wise to rejoin his friends. Bar staff watched the entire time and did nothing. First and last time I or any of my family or friends will spend a single cent in this place. Wasted $300 between all of us last night. McCleary's in Caldwell will be their own demise by not checking IDs and continuing to overserve underage customers. CPD is already aware of their practices, unsurprisingly. M read more

I went to McCleary's pub last weekend and it was a great little bar with a pretty big back yard. It had good drinks, friendly people and awesome bartenders. If you are looking for a down to earth and fun bar with a nice big patio I recommend McCleary's bar to you. Also, there is more parking on the side cause the front is packed usually. read more

Love this little bar! However I left my debit card there after paying for my dab. Completely my fault. I call next day have some guy to answer the phone and tell me there's no debit card here for me. Okay! I proceeded with my day. Then mid week call back to ask again. Is my debit card there? Lady on the phone kindly tells me Nope! I've looked all over! Fast forward to Saturday night (last night) I go into the bar with some friends and long behold there is my bright blue debit card hanging on the wall that I was asking everyone about. The only reason I didn't give this establishment 5 stars is because they didn't have a handicap restroom. I'm in a wheelchair and had to wait until I got home to pee which was kinda awful. A friend and I went on a dinner date Emma Cleary's Pub it was very noisy but boisterous people were laughing and having fun and enjoying themselves but then we had prime rib was superb it's the best I've ever found and I've been around the tribe prime rib all over the place it's better than the casinos in Wendover Nevada I will go back there to eat again and again and again the girls that work there bartenders barmaids whatever you want to call and they're very nice people they're very boisterous and very helpful my kind of girls I will go back there and visit again and again and again. read more

For a dive bar... they live up to their name. Ugly, cheesy, smoky atmosphere. Terrible bathrooms (for the piss drunks) Place smells. I frequent this place almost once a week! Prices are great and bartender (the blonde one) is always very nice. Prices are good. Overall people are down to earth and cool. Finally stopped in and was pleasantly surprised! Met a friend for drinks and spent probably three hours drinking and blabbing. Wish they could nuke a plate of nachos as there is no food besides packaged nuts and the like. In fact, we talked to several of the regulars and realized we had people in common. Later after she asked me she had the nerve to come out after signing my receipt to ask me why I didn't tip higher. This bar is a joke. The service is terrible and the staff will beg you for tips even if they haven't earned it. It's almost like the staff will assault you to get what they want. I would highly recommend avoiding this bar at all costs read more

McClearys on State has an amazing back yard. There are 2 horse shoe pits, a covered area and a beach volleyball court. It is a smoking bar (in Garden City) and the inside of the bar is nice and cozy. The most important part is the drinks are cheap and the staff is beyond amazing. read more
