Irish Cowboy Sandwich

Ice flavor with the horseradish! Enjoyed this sandwich, not a huge fan of the focaccia bread but it worked well together.

Jameson picklebacks and IPA's

We went to Rudy's tonight for dinner and drinks, and they didn't disappoint. We started off with Jameson picklebacks then onto killer beers. For dinner, I had the Philly cheesesteak and it was awesome! Go to Rudy's to get your drunk on and some good grub...

Solid 4 star experience today...we have been looking for a local sports bar since moving to the area and after a few disappointments this one hit on exactly what we weee looking for. 1) Affordable drinks 2) Great selection of drink specials 3) Locally owned 4) lots of TV's for sports action which there is no bad seat in the house. 5) Good staple bar food 6) Friendly staff 7) Locals spot to hang out 8) Close to home 9) Happy Hour 10) A cool spot to hang out Well this place hit in all 10 for me today. It was busy when we went by at lunch time and while they seemed a little short staffed our waitress Erica was awesome. Even though she was super busy she was super attentive. We wanted to order some bar food basics and while a few weren't homemade they were cooked perfect and had great flavors. Drinks were perfectly made a just the right amount of strength. I have also been looking around for some decent wings and their crispy wings hit the spot. Cooked perfect, not over saucy and great flavors. This was a great experience and we will for sure be back for another visit and really looking forward to coming here during NFL season.

Rudy'a totally delivered! The food was great, the restaurant was expansive, and the service was great! We started with some spicy cheese curds. The mild heat compliments the smoothness of the cheese beautifully! The burger was seasoned well and was cooked to perfection! Our glasses were never empty and we all left comfortably full!

Shrimp Louie salad

Great menu and very good food. My friend had fish and chips and I had Shrimp Louie salad. Her fish was crispy, not oily at all. The fries were very good, crispy on outside and tender in middle. Now let's talk about the Shrimp Louie - there are no Toney shrimp in this salad. A skewer of six plump grilled shrimp on top of a bed of chopped romaine and complimented by sliced tomato, sliced cucumber, sliced hard boiled egg, avocado and pickled asparagus. I had thousand island dressing on the side. This was a great salad and I ate every single bite. If you want to try a fun place with games, screens and a great community feel try this place.

Forgot what's called, some salmon and veggies bowl, it's pretty good. Love the unlimited chips and salsa too, yummy

I've been here twice so far and it's a great place and close to home! Great prices on drinks and a large menu - last Friday there was a lot of items temporarily unavailable but still a lot of options. Service is pretty good. Good place to take a group to please everyone palates especially if drinks and beers will be involved!

Steak burger thing...looks weird but we shall see....

So far so good! Great drinks and service. The Irish cowboy was yum and the skewers were amazing. Best French goes too!

We so want this to be our hangout, but it just isn't working out. It's close to home and next to a movie theater. Service and hospitality have been going downhill over the last 3 months. Today, being a holiday, they had a busy lunch rush. All available tables were dirty when we walked in. Nobody greeted us when we entered. We ordered our Mexican Pyramid with no jalapeños. After sitting in the window for a while, our server JT noticed that it had jalapeños. He double-checked the ticket then asked the cook to remove the jalapeños. With food allergies as prevalent as they are, he should have asked us if that was OK with us. The nachos were served to us cold, a few hidden jalapeños.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

The rib appetizer was also cooked to dry bones. The steak fritters were battered and deep fried? Why in the world would you do that to a perfectly good piece of meat? My guess is because it wasn't a good piece of meat. That also was overcooked and just weird. Definitely overpriced as the food was not good. Maybe they have something they are known for and we missed something? Either way, too many options out there to ever try again. It was a miss for us. The set up and ambiance was nice and they were very busy so people must like it. We sat at the bar and service was fine.

The food is slightly lacking vs. other Irish pubs I've frequented, but it's still good. There's the way I grew up expecting these dishes to be prepared, and there's the simplified version they serve. They make some odd choices sometimes, like taking on St. Patrick's Day by just saying, "We'll just let patrons fight it out for seating," and serving corned beef and cabbage cafeteria-style. If you are out for a night of drinks and some pub food, this place is fun and generally doesn't disappoint. Enjoy a parting glass with friends and Éirinn go Brách.

A big shout-out to the bartender who served us--the one who was in the military. He was absolutely amazing: friendly, respectful, and really attentive. You can tell he brings that same discipline and professionalism into his work, and it shows in how well he takes care of customers. The owner is also awesome and clearly cares about the place and the people who come in. That kind of leadership makes a difference, and it shows in the overall vibe. Great people, great service, and a great experience every time.

Came time to order food and we got one Cobb salad, brisket quesadilla, smoked huckleberry burger, and a plain burger with bacon. Cobb salad was big and tasty so I was told. Brisket quesadilla was good and tasty, no complaints what I was told. Huckle berry burger was different, it had a sweeter fresh taste to it. I'm always trying something new but if I could order again I would have got the hells canyon burger a more dirtier of a burger. Burger was a little dry but I use every sauce I can so didn't bother me too much. Regular burger came out with no bacon so he waited until bacon came out. Took a bite and there was curb sauce in it that he had not wanted in it. Asked for a new burger but by the time he got it everyone was done and thrill was gone. Got his bill and was charged for every item including the kitchens mistake. I want to say the younger server gal didn't want to take any heat for it since it wasn't her fault but didn't want to make her team look bad or the manager mad so she charged for everything without a discount. That was a rough one to be okay with. Twin Peaks on Spectrum St. was late with one of our meals by 8 minutes and took the meal off our check. I think the server girl here could be given more authority or at least have direction on what to do in situations like this but it is what it is now.

My girlfriends and I decided we needed to get some grub and enjoy the patio weather today so we all picked Sockeye to hit up for our monthly outing. I arrived first and the patio area was pretty chill. Was sat at a great table and hung out till the rest of my friends showed up. My two friends and I did get to peep out the menu for a bit. Our last friend who is notoriously late allowed is some extra time to really check out the whole menu without feeling rushed. Happy hour was going on so of course the apps were calling to me. I can make a meal off of multiple appetizers. We finally got food ordered when our last friend showed up. I got the salmon and shrimp crab cakes. I have left Sockeye hungry before after having dinner here so I also added a side of chili just in case. I was ready to eat! My crab and shrimp cakes came out looking fabulous. They were fried a nice golden brown. So crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. I love the aoili that was on top, it added an extra flair to the crab cake. 3 were in an order and it was the perfect amount. I smashed all 3 and they were so good! I did have a couple bites of the chili. It was hearty in meat and beans. Rich in flavor and filling. I'm looking forward to adding this chili to some fries with some cheese on top for dinner later. I know it's going to be so good. Our server did a great job tonight. Despite the fact that she had to wait till our last friend to show up, our server was on top of it. Our water was always filled, she checked up on us and always made sure we were happy. As a past server, it's hard to manage time between tables when the whole party isn't there. Our server didn't have that issue today. My girlfriends and I had a great time. We enjoyed the food, enjoyed the atmosphere and was happy that we got to do this all on the patio. I always forget that there's a Sockeye by us off of Hill Rd. I will have to check that one out soon to grab more crab cakes. I do look foward to coming back to this location and enjoying another round of appetizers on the patio here.
