They no longer have a location but when I called, gal gave me owners phone and said he can sell and deliver. So I called and owner said to call back in a few days, which I did. He said to call back following week. So it went for 3 weeks. Don't bother with this business--they are only good at wasting your time. read more

I had wonderful experience here. When I got there, James was first to greet me and help me trough out the process. He was an absolute delight to work with. He is professional, but friendly. Even thought at this job I had very small order, and was looking for a hard to find stone color, he went trough stock to help me put together the order without any hint of frustration, whats however. EDIT - changing to a 4 star review based on the response from this business. Thank you for the reply and for trying to find a way to work through the troubles that this street comes with. First, I want to be very clear that this is not a review of the business, their product or a direct interaction with any of their direct staff. This is a reaction to a truck driver that was delivering to this business whom I interacted with today as I was trying to drop my baby off at the day care across the street from this place. When I pulled up to the drop off parking spaces this morning for day care, the semi truck with 54' trailer was blocking the entire length of spots in front of the day care while there were empty spots available. There is a designated 30 minute load/unload spot out front. Additionally, across the street, there is 2 cars length worth of 30 minute load unload zones. When I indicated to the truck driver that I was trying to get to the available parking spaces, he shook his head indicating that he was not going to move. I drove up to talk to the driver and he said that his spot to wait was where the other cars were in the load zone across the street. Now I am not genius, but there is no way that his truck and trailer would have fit in the load zone in front of the business where the 2 cars were occupying the load zone spaces. I told him it didn't matter anyways, he can't just block other spaces. He was aghast at my suggestion of moving farther down the street, or otherwise getting out of the way of the daycare loading area, as if because 2 cars were blocking him, he is entitled to block and park wherever he wants. I understand that driving a big truck around is not as easy as driving a car, and I get that it is inconvenient to not have places to wait while a business prepares to accept your deliver, but that is not something that should cause inconvenience for the other businesses in the area. I would encourage, specifically from this business, for them to reach out to the companies they do business with and explain that they do not get to block parents from dropping off their children at daycare, and that if they have to for some reason, maybe be less abrasive when the parents stop to talk to them. Also, when the business knows that they have an early morning deliver, please be there to accommodate the truck drivers so they are not put in a situation where they have to make a decision like blocking the street and the daycare drop off area. Probably the worst customer service experience in my 27 years in Seattle. I visited the yard in person and had a good conversation with the onsite person, and made some tentative choices and quantities. All good so far. Then called back a few days later with a confirmed list of items and was told they'd have to order them and it would take about 10 days. Two weeks later, after no word, I called during business hours, got their answering machine and left a long message about my order. No one ever called back. Then I called again two weeks later (now we are a month in) and got the attendant on the phone. He had to ask about what was in my order -- apparently they keep no accessible records --- and essentially I had to start all over again. My items had not been ordered and it would be '"a couple weeks." I made one last attempt two weeks later and the story was the same -- they had to ask what my order was and had nothing ordered. This time the guy apologized and said the owner was "really busy," but clearly their systems suck and they don't care -- no one ever called me with status. I finally gave up and bought everything as a walk-in at Marenakos in Issaquah, which was awesome. A $1700 order lost for Lakeview. Such a shame because I used to have good experiences at Lakeview's old University Village location, and their prices are quite good. But I will never use them again. read more

Recently I was in Seattle to help my daughter and son in law redo their very small front yard. We went to Lakeview and they could not have been any better! Great customer service, very informed and delivery was prompt the next day. The gentleman who delivered our one ton of stone was nice enough to even cut back the wire on the pallet and then placed a small boulder where we needed it. Next project in Seattle will be with Lakeview! read more

I needed a couple tons of flag stone and a couple tons more of 2 man basalt for a rockery and walkway I have been building as I re-landscape my front lawn. After pricing several places, I went and saw my two friends that work here. Yes, I do know people who work here, but thats beside the point. I was able to compare stone I had looked at elsewhere and my buddies explained the differences in how it would look and how it would settle and hold up to the elements. I was pretty suprised they actually knew as much as they did, I had kinda always underestimated them and kinda thought they were just slackers(which they are, but they know their shit). They couldn't get me a huge discount, but they were pretty damn close to everywhere else I had checked price wise, so the small discount I got really saved me in the end. This place has a great selection of tile, marble, granite etc... I will definately be coming back when I finish my bathroom and kitchen. **FYI** They will be moving this location within the next two months, so they will have a huge firesale on products they have in stock.... read more

I can swing by this stoneyard, park right near what I want, have the yardman (is that a word?) load the bags of whatever, and off I go. I bring cash to speed up the process. In and out in a flash. If you are in the Northend and need bags of various stones or paver type items, I recommend this business. It's so convenient I probably have stones in more places in my yard than anyone else in Broadview. read more

OK, I admit I have no idea how this place does going about it's business. They probably have fine Stone & Garden...that's not what sours me on them. A person works there that lets his Doberman and Doodle (or whatever?) roam free when he's NOT at work. Guess it's fine when he's there...but those dogs and his attitude have traumatized more than one person in the Bitterlake area. The online group "Bitterlake Neighborhood" abounds w/ stories about both the dogs and their owner. That's enough for me to boycott the place. This has been going on for awhile. The Doberman came after my 63lb Portuguese Water Dog nephew once. I impolitely suggested there was a leash law...to which he has snubbed his nose. A gal that witnessed his dog coming after mine had picked up her own little dog. I commented about how "Special" he must be to not follow the law...she said "again". Animal control will be speaking to him soon. Follow up review change. Thanks for the reply...the offender has been ticketed. I went there to pick out a stone for a memorial. Tom was very helpful, patient, and friendly. Lots of material to choose from.
