I've been coming to Lakeshore Coffee House since I was 18 years old, and every visit brings back wonderful memories. I was recently back in town and made sure to stop in for a mocha and a relaxing break, just like old times. The service is great too Their mocha is still the best, and the cozy atmosphere is as welcoming as ever. I used to love pairing my coffee with a slice of cheesecake, so I was a little disappointed to find that they no longer serve it. Even so, the excellent coffee and comfortable setting keep me coming back whenever I'm in town. Lakeshore Coffee House remains a special place for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a cozy place to unwind. Five stars! read more

My first impression of the business actually came from the phone call I placed to inquire what time they stopped serving breakfast. The gentleman who answered was friendly and invited me to stop in, which I did. I parked up front on LSB (Lakeshore Blvd) and entered a cozy, quaint, comfortable environment. While fancy wouldn't be a word to describe the aesthetic, it gives more in the sense of what matters; you'll be taken care of. I read the reviews and was ready to be fully blown out the park, but my experince was just okay. The young lady behind the counter had a sort of ho-hum attitude, and she "misheard" when I said I wanted my egg and cheese on a bagel. To be fair she offered to remake it and/or a discount, but I was on a schedule. My chai latte with almost milk was mainly milk, or the chai wasn't very strong. The sandwich was okay. I appreciate the nostalgic charm like the pay phone on the wall, the book nook, and the puzzles you can add to. They have tarot readings on certain nights and the bathroom was clean. The coffee was great, everyone in there was nice. The employee was working by himself and he did a great job!

I wouldn't recommend this place in a heartbeat. The customer service for the guy running the place this morning was horrible. I asked if they had more cream and he got an attitude. The quiche sitting out on the corner just asking for the health department to come do a walk through. The list of violations this place is break is prolly endless. I support local and am from out of town but I would strong suggest staying away! My wife's iced latte tasted like mold. read more

Let's start with the fact they have really good gluten free snacks. That alone is worth at least two stars. When really makes it five stars for me is when they accommodated my request to steam cinnamon into my milk. Great coffee, amazing customer service, and gluten free snacks? This is a wonderful place with great coffee, homemade quiches, muffins, cookies, freshly made chicken salad (that means they cook the chicken breasts, shred it, chop up the celery, etc., so fresh you can say 'hold the onions' (if your timing is right), tuna salad, chilies and soups and more. They display art from various local artists and generally try to support the community in many ways. Since I work next door, I'm here a lot! This place has been around since I was in high school (probably longer than that) and I am just now trying this place. Wasn't too impressed at all. I decided to get the caramel apple coffee...sounds good but nope...didn't like it at all. The older gentleman wasn't very friendly either. I just finished having a cup of coffee and a bagel at this coffee house. I'd like to compliment the owner as well as the staff. I walked in this is a very nice unique interior they had local artists works hanging on the wall, and if you like the work some of these pieces of art were for sale. The coffee was excellent, and the bagel is to die for. The owner was very friendly we had a nice conversation. The prices of the coffee are so reasonable and so is the food. So if you're looking for a place for a nice cup of coffee breakfast sandwich or even something for a quick lunch or a bite to eat, I would highly recommend Lakeshore coffee House. A nice place to stop by and get a good coffee beverage. It is a good atmosphere and much less pretentious then other chain shoes. They also make good breakfast sandwiches. It's close to home and can be walked to. So enjoy a nice local treat. Check it out if your around. read more

A great hidden gem in the Euclid area. The coffee shop is in a nice, central location and the staff is absolutely amazing! You can tell the store has a great hometown vibe to it and many of the people who go in there are regulars the area. Feeling nostalgic....haven't been back since I left Euclid 23 years ago, but that all changed today. When we stepped into Lake Shore Coffee House, we were greeted with a smile and good conversation. As coffee lovers from Chicago, we have high expectations and LCH did not disappoint. They've been open since the early 90s and have always been a cool place to get coffee and desserts in a nice atmosphere.

Sure Lakeshore Coffee House is old school, as are it's baristas, but so is Euclid. Don't expect ac, great lighting, or a fancy sound system. The coffee is good, strong and hot. There is a great selection. The prices are competitive. There are plenty of cup sizes including huge. And the mochas are the best, bar none! They also have coffee ice cubes at no extra charge so as not to water down your summer caffeine. Just ask for them. LCH serves breakfast and lunch items & ice cream, too. I dont come for the coffee i come for the ice cream lol. They sell Hershey ice cream at a great price. The place is dated and old and could use some tlc but the regulars wouldn't have it any other way. I've relaxed here in the summer when taking my kids here for ice cream and always get friendly service. Ill keep coming back when in the area and in the mood for ice cream. read more

So, this place isn't much on ambience when I went there on a recent Saturday morning around 10 AM, but it got me caffeinated for a low cost which I am a fan of. The guy behind the counter was honest enough to confess that the pastries in the case were leftovers from the day prior, so I just grabbed a granola bar and a coffee and for 2.60, I was good to go. It was a cloudy day, so the lighting inside wasn't the best and it was a bit dim, but if you want a cheap cuppa joe w easy parking, this is your kind of place. read more

Imagine walking into a coffee shop at 5:45pm on a Thursday night (they close at 7PM) and seeing all the wonderful beans on the wall and the smell of gourmet coffee all around and three (sometimes four) thermos pumps each labeled with some unique coffee flavor just calling for you to try. Your mouth starts to water in anticipation of some incredible never before tried cup of coffee. You grab your cup and choose your style and push the pump down to see some steaming hot coffee begin to pour into your cup and the sound of pumping air begins--you've drained the pot after only a few ozs. have been delivered. You think to yourself that this is enough to taste it and request the fresh pot from the person behind the counter. You bring the wonderful nectar of the gods up to your lips and taste the beautiful result of expert roasting and decide it is incredible. The few ozs. tasted fantastic and you excitedly request a fresh pot be brewed as you have the time and the wait will be worth it. The counter person looks at you and kind of squints her eyes in pondering inquisitiveness and asks you what time it is. You look at your phone and reply back in a confused muster 5:45pm. She looks up to her left and replies "no, because we close at 7pm and we throw a lot of coffee out!.". You are taken aback and are speechless for a minute and your only reply is "Is this a coffee shop". You settle for the boring house blend which essentially is a little better than the typical gas station on the typical corner and you walk out wondering to yourself--"Why do I keep coming back here?"... read more
