Great vibes and good coffee. The red tea latte was very good, not too sweet just how I like it. Baristas were helpful in explaining their drinks and helped me choose what I wanted.

What a joy to find! Up a set of stairs holds such a wonderful coffee shop. After lunch my sister and I were walking around and stumbled upon Phoenix. I got a lavender oat milk latte and it was just the perfect balance of flavors. The staff were wonderfully nice and super chill. I've already recommended it to several people. If you're in the area and want some great coffee stop on in!

This was a super cute place to come and get some work done and read!! They also have the cutest aesthetic and murals outside of their door!! I didn't get the chance to sit and eat outside, but it looked beautiful out there - it was just a cold day when I went so I stayed inside. I got a lavender latte, very delicious and could taste the perfect amount of lavender. To snack on I got a salted bagel with chorizo cream cheese. Both delicious, I wanted an everything bagel but they were out and I was a little scared to try this bagel - but it turned out super delicious!! I can't wait to come back and ready/read here again!!

What a perfect find for some incredibly quality coffee and a carby treat! Though the entrance can be a little hard to find (enter & park on Bridge Ave), Phoenix Coffee Bar is a delightful little spot to get your caffeine on and maybe do some work, too. Came here after walking the dog and got a regular latte and a strawberry lemonade scone. Shortly before 8 am, it wasn't crowded at all (but had a slow, steady stream of regulars grabbing coffee to go and chitchatting with the baristas.) I sat with my pup on their beautiful outdoor patio to enjoy my treats and work a bit. I loved that they offered my dog a treat & a water bowl immediately - such a dog friendly place with a chill, easy-going vibe great for meeting with a friend or getting some work done! The espresso comes in two different varieties and my latte was smooth, well balanced, and honestly the thing of my coffee snob dreams. I hadn't know CLE had coffee this good. The strawberry lemonade scone - despite the name - wasn't too sweet (which I LOVED) and was served WARM with a perfectly soft, fluffy inside and slight crunch to the outer layer as only truly perfect English-style scones should be. I did not partake - but there is a HUGE selection of bagels & schmears from Cleveland Bagel Company here if you are in the mood for something more substantial food-wise. Overall, this is a gem of a local institution and I love that they are employee owned company. Definitely will be back while I'm still in town!

Just found my new favorite coffee shop in Cleveland! Will definitely be coming here the rest of my stay here. So many wonderful options and delicious lattes, especially from their specialty latte menu. They're also very decently priced and you can substitute regular milk for oat without any extra charge. I got the promised land latte and was very happy with my choice!

The iced coconut latte in the summer is the best coffee drink I've ever had. I could drink only that for the rest of my life and die happy. It's that much better than other beverages of any other kind. My husband is obsessed with their beans and quality of espresso. And all of their in-house made scones are out of control - very moist and fluffy somehow at the same time - everything you could ever wish for in a scone

If you are looking for somewhere that has good vibes and plenty of options for diets, Phoenix is where you should be. Vegan and Gluten-free options in both the drinks and baked goods. They even have a rack of plants that you can shop from, supplied by a local bicycle shop. An incredible place to be.

I came here this morning to get something caffeinated but I was not really feeling like coffee. I was really impressed when the girl who took my order suggested something I might like that was not on the menu-a london fog latte, and it turned out really good! Other than the friendliness of the staff and the fantastic drink, I also really like this Phoenix location because of how cool it looks inside. The decor really creates a good vibe. Plus, you can bring your dog in, so that's pretty nice. Finally, I appreciate that Phoenix offers food in addition to drinks, including bagels from The Cleveland Bagel Company.

What a delightful vanilla latte on a rainy day. Cute little shop, wonderful record collection, super yummy coffee, plants for sale, and a big bonus- they compost.

Came here on a Sunday morning and it was decently crowded, but still a short wait to get my coffee. It was a little warm out so I opted for a Large Iced Coffee and just added cream and half a splenda myself. The coffee was very good, you can tell they take making coffee very seriously and that it is almost an art to watch them make it! We sat outside and enjoyed out coffee on the little patio outside the entrance, the mural there is beautiful and all the trees make the area super relaxing. Was only visiting Cleveland for the weekend but you can bet I will be back to Phoenix Coffee next time I am back!

    Two cortados!

During a recent trip to Cleveland, I visited Phoenix Coffee Bar for a cortado. My fiancé also got one. Though there was no indoor seating at the time, you can tell they have the makings of a perfectly cozy coffee shop. Lucky for us the day was crisp and sunny so we sat out front and enjoyed our coffees. The cortado itself was creamy with a bit of a bold finish. I loved their style and coffee, definitely a place to recommend for anyone visiting Cleveland.

Had been craving Leavened for a week and finally decided to give in. Only problem is it's near my…read moregym... so I got pastries after a workout session. Whatever. I'm so sad about this, but this was not my favorite experience at Leavened. Customer service was great of course but my selections fell short. I got a mushroom and ricotta croissant, which was fine. I forgot the ricotta was supposed to be there because it mostly tasted liked mushroom, but it was good. I also got the cinnamon monkey bread. This was not good. It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted. Monkey bread is usually gooey and sweet. This missed the mark, but that's okay. I'll certainly return for another treat soon. Also the bread was looking fire this day.

I think I've tried this place enough to finally declare it an overall disappointment. Today I tried…read morethe hoisin tofu sandwich. The bread was fresh and crusty, there were two small strips of tofu that had maybe been dribbled on by hoisin sauce at some point, some lettuce and jalapeño slices, and carrots. The sandwich was dry as a bone and a really sad empty version of a banh mi. The chocolate rye cookie I bought as a back up was thankfully still deliciously chocolatey and soft as usual. The guy at the register said the bread pudding still has a "cinnamon roll base, so it has orange in it" despite nothing in the sign denoting this awful addition to bread pudding and the fact that cinnamon rolls are not orange rolls. But I digress and I won't fight with a cashier over their poor decisions lol. Also got a cherry chocolate sourdough on impulse. Pray it is soft inside.

The games are very well organized, and there's even a suggestions list on the wall. Not to leave out, the lights and art make for a fantasy cottage core immersive space. I love shrooms! But obvi, The main reason to come here is for the games. You want cat games? They got purrfect choices! Pandas? Uh-huh that have it! Racoons? You bandit believe it! Wanna watch your friends meeples get eaten by sharks? You can hear with Survior Island! Parks and Trails? Have no fear... they got it here! Criminal games? Allegedly they have them ;) They have so many, that it was overwhelming to choose. Prices are fair, with about a $5 fee/gamer, with set times of 3 hours max typically. I'm sure if it was empty and if they didn't have other resi's or a waitlist, you could hang longer, especially if you have an extra $5 or something... Weekends, espeically in the winter, will be more crowded so be aware if others make you nervous. I personally get nervous about gaming when others are around. My brain shuts down and I loose critical thinking skills necessary to win. And winning is life. Onward, the food was meh. I ordered the cheese flatbread 'Za, hoping to channel my inner teenage mutant ninja turtle and smash my fellow turtle completion. But the pizza was bland. It was like pita with cheese on. I'd say, go somewhere else and get food, and go here for the games and dranks. The latte was delicious, and I actually ordered a second. It was just the extra sweetness & energy boost I needed to crush my competition. You already know I like to check out the restrooms. They had two gender neutral large accessible restrooms, from what I discovered on my exploration, and they were clean, with adequate lighting and finishes. Parking is scattered across the street, but there's the large westside market lot available. With Mitchell's Icecream (yes the train was working at this one last time I went), Ohio City Burrito, and a plethora of options, you can't go wrong! Now, back to the games - I will say, some of the games are very advanced and will require extensive set up and knowledge on how to play. If there's game you're interested in playing, and you have little knowledge, I recommend looking up the rules first and checking out tutorial vids. Otherwise, you'll waste a lot of time figuring out the logistics. If you wanna go from bored to board games, I recommend this place!
