UPDATED REVIEW -- I recently visited again in late April 2026. I came in the morning to work. I sat at the back which is the room in the front right when you walk in from the main doors. There is also the main area (center part where you order) that has tables and chairs which is situated when you first walk in and then there is a back area towards the left that can be used as well. So, there are 2 back sections. DRINKS -- They sell matcha, tea, and coffee. I ordered a cup of Storehouse black tea with honey ($4 price, I think). I think the employee added too much honey in my tea because my stomach started hurting a little so I couldn't finish it but that's okay. I later got a mug of warm water which helped soothe my stomach. The cup of tea though is quite expensive but I like to support local businesses (Storehouse Tea is a Cleveland business). FOOD -- I also ordered a Rosemary bagel ($4) with a side of butter (.50 cents). The Rosemary bagel was delicious which isn't surprising because the owners make their own bagels. If you work remote then this coffee shop is for you as they have free wifi and plenty of tables to use. They have lots of chairs and tables laid out in three different sections. The music isn't as loud like most coffee shops in the area so I appreciated that. The back area towards the right only has 2 outlets available but thankfully, I got one to use. If you come with a laptop, make sure your battery is charged or find another seat where there is an outlet. TIP -- They sell packaged coffee to go, some packaged biscuit mix, and cute notebooks. read more

Whenever I visit home, I like to try new-to-me places. My mom had a gift card for Ready Set and she doesn't drink coffee so I had no problem taking it off of her hands. This place is soooo cute inside. Very bright and bubbly and so are the baristas. Over the weekend I made my way to Ready Set Coffee to find a place to study. This coffee shop is so bright and inviting when you walk in! There are two sides to the shop with plenty of seating if you want to meet some friends there. The staff was so polite and welcoming. We like to stop a Ready Set Coffee when we are in the Battery Park area. In our opinion their coffee is superior to many local shops and definitely the popular chains. Ready, Set Coffee always has a variety of pastries and food items to complement the coffee. The dining room is comfortable and generally there is a place to sit. They roast their own beans and their black coffee is good (my usual order). I've seen some seasonal drinks that are visually impressive - clouds on the cup, cats in the foam - and very cute. Seems like they bring in most of their baked goods from Philomena's Bake Shop, though I've seen some other featured suppliers on their Instagram. This place is wonderful. It's beautiful inside. Lots of parking - street and mini lot. The latte i got was so good that it took me back to fond memories I had as a child. Oh my goodness! I am SO happy I finally got the chance to try this place out! I have heard so many good things about it! I love coming to Ready Set. It's basically become the place that I go to for a coffee on Saturday afternoons to get my weekend started. There's a variety of featured flavored drinks, hot and cold, that change with the season, or you can go for something more traditional, but you basically can't go wrong. They offer baked goods too like muffins and cookies, and they even sell Cleveland Bagel bagels which is awesome because they're really good and this is a great environment to be and to sit down and enjoy one. The atmosphere is nice, the place is clean and inviting and the staff is always really nice. As an added bonus they sell beans so you can make Ready Set coffee at home and they'll grind them up for you and answer any questions you might have. I've gotten several bags from here and the flavor profiles on offer are usually pretty unique. These guys are the best! Wanting to try a local coffee shop I stopped by here on a Friday morning and was drawn in by the scent of fresh coffee roasting in the back as I entered the shop! The decor is modern and bright. The fresh flowers in jars are a nice touch. The baristas were great with recommendations for someone like me who couldn't decide on what drink to get. They roast and bag their own coffee blends, which are also for sale. You can even buy mugs or a vegan cookbook. Love that they sell locally sourced vegan baked goods and bagels from the Cleveland Bagel Co. I finally settled on the Cloudburst latte, which is a nitro cold brew with oatmilk, agave, and vegan chocolate. This was smooth! Excellent choice for someone who usually gets black coffee and not overly sweet things. The vegan raspberry donut was a nice accompaniment to my latte. This has recently become my favorite coffee spot in town (ties with Rising Star) as the shop is in an amazing location, nestled near Gordon Square, Edgewater, and Lakewood. Ready Set Coffee is charming, beautiful, clean, inviting, and delicious. Their Chiapas roast is incredible and has become my daily morning coffee that I brew at home. I made it my 2022 New Year's resolution to try one "new to me" coffee shop a month. In October I found this beautiful, quaint coffee shop nestled into the hustle and bustle of Gordon Square. Once you walk in. the noise of the street is gone and the aromatics are diving. The big windows bring in a lot of natural light and gives the feeling of a cozy cool vibe. I let the staff know right away that is my first time visiting and they were happy to show me the seasonal menu and suggest a few favorites. I opted for the seasonal drink "Bonfire" which had house-made toasted marshmallow syrup, ginger, and oat milk. The ginger was so different and I love that I could taste it in each sip. Owners (brother-sister combo) on site, one roasting beans in the back, one running everything else, plus two employees. Plenty of seating in 3 different spaces. Walkable to Edgewater, many restaurants, theatre etc in Gordon Square. Beans for home are pricy at $16 or so but very competitive with peer shops, and an incredible variety to boot.
