My first visit to Duck Rabbit Coffee did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in, I loved the warm, inviting atmosphere. The space is charming, comfortable, and full of character. It's perfect for catching up with a friend or enjoying a quiet coffee break. The matcha was good & Mike had cold tea & a lemon poppyseed scone(very tasty) The staff was welcoming and friendly. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the drinks and the overall experience. I love when my matcha is made with a sweet design. If you're looking for a local coffee spot with great vibes, quality coffee, and exceptional service, this is definitely a place to visit. I can't wait to come back and try more from the pastry menu! One of my favorite places for coffee beans and drinks! The space has plenty of natural lighting and small tables for a cozy, intimate feel. Their hours are shorter in the afternoon, but a great place for an early morning study session. The music can sometimes be a little loud, but good vibes. Their chrysanthemum honey latte is very light l, with the delicate flavor of chrysanthemum in the steamed milk. The honey flavor isn't overpowering at all. read more

I don't often get to stop into Duck Rabbit Coffee, but it's always lovely when I do. During this visit, I tried one of their seasonal drinks, the yuenyeung - a Hong Kong style coffee milk tea with black tea, cold brew, and sweetened condensed milk, shaker over ice. It was pretty tasty. I can't place whether it tasted more like coffee or tea, but either way I enjoyed it. They carry pastries from Sophie La Gourmande in Cleveland Heights and they all looked beautiful. I got some type of pistachio cherry cake, which was delicious. read more

I stopped into Duck Rabbit while my husband went next door to the best pet shop (Lake Erie Pets) and I was very disappointed. I had been in before but couldn't remember why I've never been back - I was quickly reminded. Maybe it's because I am over 50, but I was totally overlooked and ignored while I was in the store - with the exception of ordering. I'm not needy, but the workers were not great. When I walked up to the counter, I was the only person on the register side of the place and there were 2 workers. While I was looking at the VERY VERY limited menu, a couple of their customers (who were either friends or regulars) were leaving as I asked if they could make a chai latte - I was ignored as the friend said good bye and the one worker was doing some sort of goodbye dance and the cashier was saying goodbye. So I turned and said good bye as well - then asked my question again. Once again ignored as the workers continued a discussion amongst themselves. Finally the 3rd time I asked I finally got my answer, then ordered. About 10 minutes later my husband's chai latte was ready followed by my Orange cardamom latte a couple minutes after that. The entire time I was waiting for my coffee - there was another customer hovering over my empty cup texting on his phone and chatting with the female worker. Was not a good experience and the coffee was not the greater either. But - the playlist of music or at least the 5 songs I heard while waiting was great!!! Also, just personal preference here - I don't like the clean spoon, dirty spoon situation for stirring coffee - it just doesn't seem sanitary to me..... I really really wanted to love this place and have it be one of my go to places for coffee but I really just did not end of loving it. There is such a limited menu and for someone who usually does not get flavored drinks I still thought it was limited. They do not even offer cinnamon powder or honey which I found a bit surprising but to each their own. They do have a simply syrup and a honey syrup I believe. The atmosphere of the place is really unique and I would recommend stopping in just to see the vibes but I do not recommend for the overall experience of coffee. They offer I believe one size in iced drinks and for the size I found it expensive. I got a cold brew which was okay, but I would not get it again. The staff was kind and friendly and was willing to answer any questions but the menu is what it is and you just have to know that there wont be much customization if you decide to stop in! Cute decor and I love the color scheme, but I probably will not be back just due to the size of the iced coffee for the price, and menu options! :) Maybe I will opt for a hot drink next time and have a more pleasant outcome! read more

Duck rabbit coffee is a nice coffee shop if you're looking for a special treat or really craving a great pour over. I came here while waiting for a table at a local restaurant and ordered their current Geisha--$12 is much more than I generally spend on a single cup of coffee, but it was certainly delicious. It was very skillfully made with that "tea-like" body I always struggle to achieve at home. The flavor separation was excellent, even notes like rosemary were able to pop quite well. The coffee itself was 5/5. The only areas keeping duck rabbit from five stars overall are the prices and the ambience. The location itself is rather cramped, with not a lot of seating area. Both times I have visited, it has been very difficult to find seating. Additionally owing to the small space, it has been rather loud, so I wouldn't want to stay long even if I could find a seat. Overall, while the location itself could be better, Duck Rabbit made me one of the better pourovers I've had in Cleveland, and I would be happy to come back with someone who nerds out on coffee as much as I do. read more

No sugar free sweetener options for people like me with diabetes or those who don't use real sugar. They only have honey which seems like an incredible oversight for 2024. Several pastries daily. Decent tea selection w some greens, herbals, and blacks. All the usual basic coffee drinks available otherwise. OK this place is amazing. The coffee is exquisite! But even if you don't like coffee, you can have Matcha have lattes, or any other creation that you might be able to get at a place like this. You should come just for the experience, the art, and the artistic vibe. If you were a coffee drinker, you will not be disappointed! This is my coffee nirvana. As a nurse for more than 20 years, I have had my fair share of coffees in my day. So thankfully for some of that muddy tar liquid that some hospitals pass off as coffee, yes... you need the bad to appreciate the good. And with Duck Rabbit coffee, I found that good. These are some serious roasters that's take their craft to another level. The coffee is so smooth. I need no sugar or cream supplements. I take it just as nature gives it. Please note, When you purchase a bag, you get a free cup of coffee along with it. These bags of coffee are NOT cheap, you definitely pay for the quality you get. Amazing coffee shop!!! This is the real deal when it comes to craft coffee. They have beans that you won't find anywhere else in town and they're extremely professional when it comes to pouring fancy latte art. My wife got a mocha with oat milk and I got a latte latte with oat milk and even though they don't have flavors for their lattes they have 2 coffee bean choices to choose from. The staff is super friendly and helpful with all our questions and they even gave us free cute little duck rabbit stickers! It's so sad they do not currently have indoor dining because this is such an awesome place to hang out at with really minimal and modern decor balanced with the old industrial brick building. I cannot wait till coffee places like this start opening up again! The location is great because there's a Platform Beer extension called "The Lot" across the street so it's great to grab a coffee and then walk across the street to get really good beer and wings, or a noodle bar diagonally located as well. The first thing you notice as you walk in is the airy atmosphere, it looks like one of my fav coffee shops in Brooklyn (SEY coffee). The coffee did not disappoint - the espresso notes were flavorful, and fruit-forward, which was a welcome surprise. Easy for me to say this is the best coffee you can get in Cleveland. I usually like drinking espresso straight and this is the place to do that. All of the coffee they roast are on the lighter side, so you have to be into that. Also the beans are a bit more expensive than other places like rising star, but you get what you pay for. The downsides of this place would be their hours. Only open a few days a week. read more

This was my first visit to Duck - Rabbit in their new location. Wow! It was so much bigger of a location than I thought it would be. It's a beautiful space and when you walk in you'll love the bright white brick vibes and open concept. There's a small, scattered seating area in the back which makes it a suitable place to come and work, if you're looking for that type of thing. This location change feels like an elevation of their personality (in a good way). Duck - Rabbit is always where I bring my friends that are fancy coffee drinkers because they are always impressed with their selection and quality. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but lately I've been into trying cold brew. There's is quite strong, so get it with a splash of milk if you're not used to the bitterness! I believe they only offer street parking, but if you're there during an "off" time like mid-afternoon, you'll have no issue finding a spot. I wanted to love this place. I was excited for an actual 'coffee shop' in CLE that was welcoming, offered a variety of coffee, and a delicious baked good to go with it. Unfortunately this place fell short. The menu is very basic. You won't find a matcha latte or flavored one (at least when I asked the cashier she said its just a regular latte). There were only two bakery items left in the display case (either a sugary muffin or a sprinkled cookie). I asked for the cookie and the cashier dropped this as she went to place it on a dish. It fell on the second layer of the display case. To my horror she still picked it up and put it on a dish for me to eat. Any other place I've been to would have never served that. I asked if I could have the muffin instead since the cookie had been dropped. She tells me oh it just fell to the bottom of the case, but i'll give you the muffin. Maybe it 'just fell to the bottom of the case,' but I have no idea how clean that case is or what was there before. I'm also surprised that at 1pm there was no refill of any desserts or variety in anything offered. Disappointed, I got the muffin and waited for my cappuccino. The drinks come in nice cups and the latte art is good. Sadly, the coffee wasn't that strong and the muffin was dry. Just a layer of sugar icing on it. I read reviews about this famous toast that was supposed to be really good? Well, there was zero toast on the menu. Again, hoped for more variety here but it was very limited. I believe the pastries are outsourced. The interior is open concept with many plants and bright lighting, which feels inviting and can house groups. Probably not quiet enough to study, but could get a little work done on a laptop. There is a restroom. Parking is limited to the street. I'd suggest going on a weekend since meters are free. Overall, okay if you are in the neighborhood and want to get a cup of coffee to go, but go elsewhere for any baked goods. read more

Cleveland has become a mythical place in American lore. So many different cliche's to filter through......I decided to ignore them all and find myself some good quality coffee. A Yelp search isn't always fruitful, but this time it was.....sort of. We found ourselves here on the recommendation of another coffee shop in across town. This wasn't on our way to Chicago....but was no doubt a definite highlight of our quick Midwestern trip. We went in hoping they would have some single origin coffees on espresso and were delighted to get a wonderful single origin and a great tasting house blend. Roasted on sight, it was of course fresh and it was great being able to talk to the owner/roaster about the beans and the business. I just had to take a Guji Ethiopia home to Reno. The flavors were more unique and earthy than I had ever had from an espresso. Sadly, the coffee never made it home. Somewhere between Cleveland and Reno someone wanted my Duck - Rabbit and took it for themselves. The space is great for a short stop caffeine hit and snap a few pics. Street parking was easy when we stopped by. If you are looking for REAL craft coffee. This is definitely a place you can stop for a 3rd wave coffee. read more

Another place to check off my list of my romp through all of the coffee places of the Greater Cleveland Area! I have driven past this place numerous times and finally decided to pop in. I needed a change of scenery in the morning to get some reading done and a nice hot cup of coffee, or well latte or something. I was sadly disappointed. Look the coffee was okay. It was very much a brew-place/pour-over sort of shop. Not my thing but that's fine. They still had a few "Milk Drinks" as they called them so I got a latte for $4.50 and it tasted fine (after I added sugar, I'm weak I know). I also got a small truffle they were selling, made local, which tasted just okay and not worth the price. My problem is this place is not only small without much seating but deafeningly loud. There are three or so stools by the window. There are then 3 or so more stools at this counter/bar sort of thing over which you see the entirety of the biggest coffee grinder I have ever seen in my life as well as the back of the shop. The coffee grinder is beyond loud when it's on. The music played was beyond loud. Any conversation the guys working there had was beyond loud. It's probably that this place is small that everything sounded deafening but I lasted long enough to finish my latte and then I left. If you like pour-over coffee - stop by and check this place out. I have no idea if the coffee is good for those who take it black. But definitely "stop by" because it's really not a place to stay for very long. read more
