First of all, this café is in the most beautifully decorated space in Cleveland. The lobby where it's located is a study in the latest design trends. The baristas were nice and friendly, they did a wonderful job on our order and even re-made the chocolate milk we ordered for our son because they inadvertently made it hot. Lovely little independent coffee shop in downtown Cleveland. I was happy to find coffee close to my hotel in a cute boutique hotel/residence complex. Service was quick, and there are a few tables to get your work done, or comfy seats nearby. I enjoyed buying a house plant from the plant pop-up shop, which is a great idea. read more

I visited the new location of Phoenix Coffee in downtown Cleveland on a Sunday afternoon in late March 2026. This location is in the lobby of a new apartment complex. It's a smaller location but you won't feel cramped inside as it is comfortable. They have sofas and couches to sit on plus traditional tables and chairs. I like that they have 2 very big tables available to place your laptop on to meet with a group of 4 people. FOOD/DRINKS/SERVICE -- During my visit, I was greeted when I entered. I ordered either a hot tea or a cup of hot chocolate. The drink was solid. They offer bagels and a small amount of pastries and cookies. An issue that I had during my visit is the bathroom, which I later found out is managed by the apartment complex, did not have toilet paper. I asked a coffee shop employee about adding more toilet paper and they said there wasn't any. It took them a long time to get toilet paper so I eventually left. Street parking downtown will be difficult to find so keep that in mind. I was lucky to find a street parking spot right across the street when I visited. I don't drink coffee but if you enjoy coffee then give Phoenix Coffee a try. Beautiful coffee shop - total vibe - highly recommended for anyone that is looking to mix up their work space, meeting space, or just in need of a pick me up in the form of caffeine. I was in town for a quick work trip and turned to Yelp to find a coffee shop close by. I knew I would need to get some work done and after seeing the photos and reviews from a few other Yelp Elites, I was sold on Phoenix Coffee. It's connected to the lobby of what I believe is an apartment building. There also seemed to be a coworking business connected to it because I noticed rooms that appeared to be available to book for meetings. Very cool mix of space. The decor is vibrant as can be with a mid century modern touch. Whoever decorated, bravo, job well done. The staff was super friendly and they had some great items on the menu. I went with a seasonal oat milk latte (can't remember the details) and a rosemary bagel with a housemade cream cheese spread that included chives and pickled red onions. Both were great. What a gorgeous coffee shop!! During my visit to Cleveland, I took a walk over to Phoenix Coffee in hopes of starting my day on a high note. Phoenix is located within an apartment building and my first impressions were wonderful. This place is beautiful! The pops of green plants, the beautiful pops of pink - gorgeous! There was a bunch of seating in the area closer to the leasing office, as well as some tables inside of the coffee shop area, making it a great place to get some work done or connect with friends. The employees working the counter were so sweet and patient. I loved that their menu was very simple, offering the basic coffees but also giving customers the opportunity to try out different syrups such as maple, lavender and vanilla. They also had a few pastries available and a number of fresh bagels. I decided to go with a hot latte with lavender and vanilla, as well as a rosemary bagel. They even had 5-6 different cream cheese options that I had never even considered. Like, red onion dill cream cheese? Say less. My coffee was fantastic and my bagel was even better. Whenever I return to Cleveland, I'll be returning to Phoenix coffee for my caffeine fix! read more

So glad we stepped inside the coffee shop this morning when strolling around downtown Cleveland. Very good coffee! Had a cortado and followed the suggestions of just with the espresso and milk, no syrup. The coffee had layered flavors, fruity, nutty with slightly sweet note. Just beautiful. The barrister was very friendly, and confident about the quality of their espresso. And he was right! The place is beautiful as well. What a treat! read more

Truly abysmal experiences on multiple occasions. The servers are either extremely pretentious or abundantly apathetic. The most recent example exemplifies this. My gf and I went to today and ordered a bagel and a scone to go. We got the bagel, they forgot the scone. We waited patiently; it was not crowded at all, but hey, a little patience costs nothing. Upon noticing us waiting for a few minutes they asked were waiting for something? Why yes, we're waiting for the scone we ordered. Did you check your bag? YES...hence us waiting for the bagel. One of the servers hastily stuffed a scone in a bag, no napkin, no paper-just raw dogged into a bag. Thank you, I say. His reply: you're good. Now, I know a hallmark of Zillennials is supposedly a deficiency or lack of interest in certain social graces: little to no eye contact, not responding to greetings such as hello or how are you...I get that. What I don't get is how a reputable establishment with such a sterling reputation allows such shockingly subpar customer service. I am not one for leaving negative yelp reviews but this last and final experience pushed me over the edge. I sincerely hope that, for the sake of their current and future patrons - a community to which my gf and I no longer belong - Phoenix Coffee puts at least a modicum of effort into training servers to put forth, at minimum, COMPETENT customer service; an adjective I would not use to describe what we've experienced the several times we've been there. Probably the most beautiful coffee shop I've ever been to. The decor, lightening, layout, everything is fantastic. It also has a really good vibe and is definitely a place where you can hunker down and get some work done. Their coffee menu isn't super expansive, but it's delicious. Ordered an iced latte, watched it being made and they used batch coffee instead of pulling espresso shots. Girl reiterated "iced latte" when she was finished making it. Not sure what the deal was with this...didn't want to take the time to grind and pull a shot...broken machine...idk, but I was the only customer at the time so it wasn't like their was a rush. The drink itself was fine, but not what I ordered as I've never not had an iced latte made with espresso. read more
