Lionheart Coffee is an inviting coffee shop in the heart of downtown. I experienced it twice - once for a book swap, and second time just craving caffeine while downtown. It's conveniently affixed to the 5th Street Arcades, so you can enter via Euclid Avenue and through the Arcade. AMBIANCE: The ambiance is radically cozy with plants, comfy furniture, and ambient lighting. There's also a nice Cleveland mural, which is a fun photo op. You can pause in the midst of downtown - grab a coffee, glance outside, and relax. The seating includes big tables for groups, individual tables, and a comfy couch. I have seen both groups and individuals enjoy their time here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu is the expected cafe assortment - plain coffees, affogato, cappuccino, lattes, and more. Few snacks such as bagels and sweets are available for view in the bakery case. My latest order included 16 oz drip coffee ($3.50) and pecan roll ($4.50). The coffee was smooth. Pecan roll was perfectly hot and full of nutty flavor. I dislike when sweets are just lukewarm, but this one was piping hot and perfect. SERVICE: The service was okay, nothing notable. There are no friendly chats or opportunities to connect. Just expeditious order turnaround. I like Lionheart but certainly don't love it. Everything seems to be really good, but there is no wow factor. There's no particular coffee or snack that would keep me coming back to this coffee shop as a destination. Nonetheless, I'll stop in periodically when I'm downtown. If you live in the area or staying downtown, this might be a nice lowkey cup of coffee.

Only tried a cookie and donut. Chocolate chip cookie was tough and not good great flavor. The ladies working were busy talking and ignored me at the register for a few min which was awkward since we were like 5 feet away. The chocolate croissant don't w

The ambiance of this coffee shop was really cute! Plenty of seating available on a Sunday @ 2 pm :) Unfortunately, the drink was very watered down and the matcha was a pre-mixed solution squirted out from a bottle. Not sure if I was supposed to ask for sweetener, but didn't come with any (so just be aware of that). Staff was really kind, but I didn't drink more than the amount in this photo and felt pretty bad throwing it out. The people around me all got some type of coffee and enjoyed them, so maybe just stick with coffee when you're here. I'll probably come back to try an iced tea, but matcha is a no

Such a cute coffee shop in downtown Cleveland! I asked the barista for a recommendation and we came up with a Butter Pecan iced latte with sweet cold foam and man if I could have extended my trip to come back that next morning, I would've without a doubt. Plenty of indoor seating which is nice if you want to work from there or just enjoy your coffee. Only thing I'd pass on are the pastries, they were on the stale side so not totally fresh but otherwise definitely recommend!

This was my first time stopping by Lionheart Coffee and it was fabulous. The place is a small little shop tucked downtown next to the 5th street arcade. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and they had nice music playing. The service was great and the baristas were friendly and seemed to be enjoying their time working which is always nice to see. The place had lots of places to sit and some people talking, others working, so great vibes all around. They offered a wide range of drinks from teas to specialty lattes and coffees. They also had some bakery and sandwiches offered which was nice. All of the coffees and tea were delicious and I appreciate the bold flavor especially in the nutella and peanut butter coffees you could taste that they use real Nutella and peanut butter and not just syrups. I felt the pricing was a bit expensive as everything was about 5/6 dollars however the size they gave was large so that was nice, and the quality of the coffee also made the price not seem so bad. If downtown strolling the streets definitely stop into Lionheart coffee for a nice place to sit and chat with friends with high quality drinks and atmosphere.

Lion Heart Coffee is a quaint little coffeeshop with a great eclectic vibe. They have a variety of fresh roasted beans that make a nice cup of your favorite drink. My latte tasted smooth, not bitter and served at a good temperature. Service is friendly. They have nice comfortable seating where you can meet friends, do work or just relax.

UPDATED REVIEW: I'm not sure why I rated their Matcha 5/5 in my previous Yelp review especially because it is made unsweetened. But even without sweetener, some Matcha's just taste better than others depending on where they are sourced or bought from. The Matcha drink here at Lionheart Coffee is really a 3.5/5 (to me) as I've had better tasting Matcha. Nonetheless, I like Lionheart Coffee as customer service has always been friendly and efficient when I've visited in the past. I don't drink coffee so I can't comment on that. I visited again on an afternoon in October 2024 to work for a few hours. I ordered their Masala Chai tea which tasted fine. I hardly visit Lionheart Coffee because I don't work downtown so I can't easily come here during the week. I don't mind visiting again if I'm in the area. Maybe I'll try a muffin or cookie next time.

If you're looking for a coffee shop in the Euclid Avenue area this is the place. Outrageously busy (in a good way) the staff were friendly and courteous and the service was quick. Salted Caramel Nutella latte was a miss for me but it's because I tried somethinf I normally don't get. Overall their coffee (I tried a few others in our party) was a blast of flavor and a comfortable space to drink it in.

The young lady at the counter recommended my Cortado over ice. Not only it was really delicious and strong but I'm a changed man now. Might have it iced moving forward. This place was super cozy. Lots of people were working on their computers, family enjoying coffee and pastries, and it is not very noticeable from the street but definitely its delicious hidden gem.

Matcha strawberry latte

What a treat finding this place when I needed a caffeine boost, and to get out of the heat. It's a small coffee shop with seatings around. They serve the typical coffee shop menu and pastries. Today, I opted for the matcha latte with strawberry puree and almond milk. My husband ordered the strawberry refresher with lemonade. A few short minutes and our order was called out to be picked up from the counter. I thought my matcha was okay tasting. I wish they made their own strawberry puree but it was not, so it tasted a bit artificial. My husband enjoyed his drink as he is a fan of real and artificial strawberries.

Convenient location, mediocre execution. The interior of Lionheart is super cute with lots of plants and soft decor/seating. It feels really cozy. Unfortunately I was unable to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. I ordered a cafe au lait with toasted marshmallow syrup and was very shocked to see that they charge per pump of syrup. Not just for each syrup, literally per pump. I told the barista that I thought it was ridiculous but continued on. I found a nice seat at the front of the shop facing the street and attempted to connect to the WiFi. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to. I put the password in a few times and then went up to the front with my computer to check that I had the right password. I asked the barista if there was something wrong with it and was told "No. Sometimes it just stops if there are too many people on. You can try to connect to The Arcade or another business." She was very nonchalant about it and seemingly didn't care for my business. I packed up my things and left. The entire interaction was odd and uncomfortable. Maybe it was me and my annoyance about the syrup situation, but the baristas weren't very friendly either. The coffee was good, but I doubt I return anytime soon.

8 dollar Cold brew

Lion Heart is great at first glance! Clearly designed to be stylish and instagram picture worthy. That's where the positives stop. The coffee itself is a major letdown. The baristas don't have a grasp on how to pull quality espresso and drinks are handled carelessly. (Pouring scalding hot espresso directly into plastic cups, not mixing the drinks properly, etc.) As unpleasant as that is in its own rights, their flavoring relies on low quality Torani syrups which overpower the coffee instead of complimenting it. It's a place that prioritize aesthetics over fundamentals and it shows. Not to mention the price is absolutely outrageous for this low quality product. If you're serious about coffee, there are so many better options in Cleveland.

This could possibly be the best iced mocha I've had (well buckeye version but still) The staff was so nice especially to my toddler who enjoyed an apple muffin Prices were reasonable and the coffees were big The esthetic was amazing 12/10

The building formerly housed Phoenix Coffee. It's small inside with 10 seats available. I visited on opening day, January 1st, 2025. I didn't know that they were going to even open this new location until I happened to search for their hours online for the main location. Upon searching, Google search brought up their Instagram page where I saw a post that announced their new location opening today. So, lucky me! Lekko's 2nd location is in the Warehouse District of downtown Cleveland right next to Jimmy John's. FOOD & DRINKS -- They have the same coffee menu and a similar tea menu as the original location on W. 25th street. I don't like neither do I drink coffee so I can't comment on that. It's a bummer that they don't have a full tea service here at the new location where the tea is served loose leaf style in a tea container that sifts the tea; instead, they offer bagged tea from Storehouse tea. I do love Storehouse tea so no complaints on the type of tea used. I was told that if I wanted hot water refills with my tea bag that I could get that which was nice. On my January 1st visit, I ordered a cup of apricot tea ($4) and the ham & cheese pastry ($6). Both were good. Customer service is always superb and friendly. I'm excited for this new location and I can wait to visit again soon. Stop on in and support this local business. Maybe you'll even make a new friend as I did on my visit. Current hours are 7am - 2pm everyday. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 22/365 total reviews in 2025 - 803 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 January 2025

I had never had Yemeni coffee before so I asked the barista for suggestions. Based on the fact that I wanted to also try one of their beautiful milk cakes (like a tres leches), I opted for the Mufawar coffee since he said it was less sweet and a bestseller. It was served on an adorable bamboo tray, piping hot and very strong! It had a unique flavor and paired well with my saffron milk cake. Yes...I said saffron. I was very hesitant to try this after he described saffron to me, so I actually got both saffron and biscoff milk cakes. Wow, this man knew his stuff! The saffron milk cake was absolutely scrumptious!!! And who doesn't love a biscoff cookie?! I had to take that one to go. I hope to return to Cleveland soon so I can try the pistachio latte (a sweeter coffee) and possibly a different flavor of milk cake. The coffee shop was quite large, bright, and tastefully decorated with lots of gold accents. I loved my experience there!
