Stopped here for a coffee and a pastry. They had several options in the case including a seasonal pumpkin scone. It was fresh and not too sweet. The coffee was piping hot and they had multiple options to choose from. It was a quick stop with great service.

Still one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Great coffee, great vibes that make you feel welcome to stay there for hours (which I have), and AMAZING muffins. Starbucks and Dunkin' could never.

What a lovely experience this morning at Ah-Roma cafe. Ron was quite accommodating to my needs & requests & made our morning with delicious coffees, croissants & chocolate chip scone. I truly felt the ALOHA spirit here

Best coffee shop in Berea. Cafe Ah-Roma is a popular hangout. It's a longtime favorite of students and locals. Also has good stuff to eat. The prices are good and so is service. Coffee is the main thing here. It always goes good with any of the bagels, which makes this a popular place in the morning. There isn't that much room inside, but they still have plenty of tables. If you feel overwhelmed by the large coffee menu you can simply get a regular coffee. It's about $3 for a cup. This coffee is located in the urns at the front. As for the food it's mostly breakfast items like bagels. It's about $2.50 for a bagel and a spread. The peanut butter is very good especially when it's melted because the bagel is toasted. It has some old school decor. It gives it a cozy and relaxing feeling. They have modern technology like wifi.

Net a friend for breakfast and a beverage. My drink was a special and very tasty. It was a chai tea latte with almond syrup. The bagel sandwich I got was just okay. It was a bit dry.

What a cute little cafe in downtown Berea! I didn't even know this place existed until my friend suggested we meet there for breakfast one day! Great place to grab a bite to eat or meet up with friends. Plenty of seating for 2 people or larger groups! There is WiFi available, if you are looking for a place to get some work done. Wall plugs nearby in almost all corners of this place, which is awesome! I've been to coffee shops which had limited plugs available and I was quite annoyed, especially since my laptop dies so quickly. Cafe Ah-Roma offers both breakfast and lunch options! All dishes are super affordable and is quick! I can't wait to come back here just to hang out and introduce friends to this place!

Here is the front counter of the cafe. This is a great place to eat if you are in Berea, Ohio.Very well maintained by a great staff.

The food here is always excellent. Always well cooked, kept well refrigerated and prepared well. The staff they have working here provides excellent service. They are always greeting you and have a great attitude. The place is a quaint place with classical music playing in the background, great ambiance. People gather here to converse, grab a coffee or a quick bite. A great place to chill if you are on a work break or just sitting to relax. Cafe-Ah-Roma is a great cafe to stop at if you are at their locations in Downtown Berea, or Downtown Cleveland. A+ grade.

Very cute coffee shop in Berea. It was nice to stop by and have a cup of coffee and just sit outside and relax.

FEISTY bagel ah-Roma just as in the old days, but added zing w the spicy feta addition.

Cafe Blanc is GORGEOUS and boy, does it know it! I've wanted to check this place out for a while so…read moreI schleped an hour here for dinner with friends in May 2026 so I could finally try this sort of new restaurant out! Parma Heights is so far, guys. So so far... So after fangirling over the lush, girly decor and taking ALL the pictures ever, my 5 friends and I ordered at the counter a bougie drink and a plate of food each. There's abundant seating in this two story cafe so we found a table and waited between 5 and 10 minutes for it all to be ready. Despite my goal to stop spending money on beverages, I spent $8 on a regular sized iced decaf carrot cake latte with almond milk. Delicious and definitely instagrammable, but RIP to my money. I regret not taking the lovely glass it was served to me in, but my conscious kicked in and I didn't pilfer it. Haha! For dinner, I originally wanted to get a pizza but changed my mind last minute due to it being 90 degrees outside. So instead, I got an italian panini with a side of potato chips ($14). I don't like mayo so asked that be taken off. The only sauces they have are mayo, hot sauce, and horseradish mayo. I got the horseradish mayo on the side, but didn't really use it. I hope they can add mustard and ketchup to their sauce lineup in the future. All in all, I spent about $24. All 6 of us had very instagramable food and drinks. They looked better than they tasted for the most part. I liked my drink and panini but didn't love it, especially for the price. My friends lavender lemon loaf was gorgeous, but sadly dry. I love the look, like the menu, and wish Cafe Blanc wasn't so outrageously far away! I'd love to get brunch here with my gal pals! I wanna get one of their dessert crepes, please and thank you! I am giving Cafe Blanc 4.5 stars out of 5.

We all visited Cafe Blanc for the first time and loved our experience especially the large (free) parking lot. We sat on the 2nd level towards the back. QUICK REVIEW (read this if you don't want to read this whole review): Try the potato pancakes. Great food and service. Slightly more elevated cafe. Busy during peak morning/afternoon hours and most likely less busy in the evenings. I have not been in the evening yet. Free parking lot and free wifi. FOOD - there are lots of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and pastries. I arrived around 10:20am so I wanted breakfast. I read that the croissants are okay but I haven't tried them. I ordered the potato pancakes, blueberry hibiscus tea (hot) as a dine-in order plus a slice of almond cake as a takeout order. The potato pancakes ($19) was delicious. It comes with 3 thick potato pancakes topped an egg on the center and with bacon bits spread all over. The potato pancakes also come with sour cream on the side which I didn't realize so I moved that to the side of my plate because I don't like or eat sour cream. I would order the potato pancakes again as a savory breakfast item but $19 is a little steep for the price. The blueberry hibiscus tea ($4) was a refreshing drink served on a mug. If you enjoy the combination of white tea leaves, rose hips, natural blueberry, and hibiscus then this tea is for you. I also ordered an almond cake slice ($6) but to go. The almond cake is a light and tasty cake with sliced/shaved almonds on top. SERVICE -- Friendly. Me and one of the shorter female employee had a nice laugh when I went down later in the day to order an almond cake. They started getting busy when I arrived after 10am on a weekday but I was able to walk right up to the front counter to order. The buzzer handed to me buzzed probably within 15-20 mins and I went down to get my order. I believe the tea that I ordered was ready first. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Prices are higher than a traditional cafe. The plus is that there is free wifi so it's a perfect spot to work on your laptop. The tables are big and the chairs are comfortable. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 99/250 total reviews in 2026 - 940 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

Coffee or tea in a place most people wouldn't think is a college town - 1 of 2…read more This coffeehouse, Rise and Grind, came up on a search when I was in this immediate area. I chuckle at all the names coffeehouses come up with that have the word grind or ground in them. It's a lot like how places that cut hair seem to work in the word(s) sheer and/or shear. The college here is private Baldwin-Wallace University which may have had a religious denomination closer to its founding, but, at this juncture, appears to be more secular. It's actually a few miles east of Rise and Grind, closer to the older town center, and offers instruction in a broader range of fields than one might expect. I saw that this coffeehouse got very good reviews and, with its big parking lot near a major gym, I thought I'd take a look. Parking was easy and, upon entering, one sees it's both a physically and personally welcoming place. The store is lengthy, so one can sit in the front half or the back half, which is more suitable for larger groups, but I chose the table I selected for its proximity to outlets and the counter. On what was a warmer day, I opted for iced tea and an orange frosted donut. The brand of unsweetened iced tea was very good and the orange donut was delicious. I could have eaten another one. Beyond chocolate donuts, this is probably my favorite flavor and one doesn't often come across orange frosted donuts. The service was very amicable. The prices are in line with what others running independent coffeehouses would charge. In fact, I'm starting to like independent coffeehouses more and more for a multitude of reasons, one being that they now handily compete with the chains and have more character. Rise and Grind falls in between 4 and 5 stars, but it tilts to 5 stars because of the tidiness and pleasing ambiance of the store, the apparent vibe that this is a labor of love for the proprietors, and even for having that orange frosted donut.

Got a donut and a latte. Everything was quick to deliver and I took pics and dug in. Donut was okay, soft but older. Flavor was good strong maple but consistency was too bready for my liking. The coffee was great. A honey lavender latte with the right flavor notes but still had a pronounced coffee bite. It was well balanced and very tasty. Inside the cafe there are two distinct sides, the right side is set up as a coffee shop with the service counter, some high top tables and some comfortable seating; the left side is set up as a dining area with a bar. The decor is bright and modern with some touches of whimsy, overall very nice and comfortable, the kind of place you can relax and take your time. The menu is set up with a number of categories: breakfast, paninis, salads, wraps, flatbreads, wafflesicles and drinks. Prices are reasonable and there are some interesting items. I had a certificate for $20 so I ordered the Smashed Egg Avocado Bagel, the Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap and a big Chocolate Chip Cookie. The staff was great getting the certificate redeemed and guiding me through the menu. The food came out in a very timely manner, presentation was simple and straightforward. I had plenty of food for a very nice lunch. The egg and avocado bagel was interesting, the bagel was a bit soft for my preference, it was topped with a generous spread of egg and avocado mix plus some fresh spinach leaves. A very nice and healthy breakfast sandwich, a bit milder in flavor then I prefer, but good. The shrimp wrap was a good sized flour wrap around cold cooked shrimp with shredded cabbage and a great spicy sauce that perfectly complimented the wrap. This was excellent, the cool meaty shrimp contrasting with the crunchy cabbage and the zippy creamy sauce. I would highly recommend this if you like a bit of spice. The warm cookie was a great way to finish my lunch, very soft and gooey, packed with high quality chocolate chunks. About the only issue I had with the cookie was that it was hard to eat with just my hands, I ended up using the fork for most of the cookie. The Jubani coffee was good which is great because I'm actually not a coffee drinker but the flavour wasn't as strong as I noticed when I tried it at a different Yemeni coffee shop. I still liked the Jubani coffee and I added some sugar to it. The baklava was delicious as expected but slightly too cold.
