Pricy, big portions, good flavors Wanted to try something a bit fancy while out and about in Ohio. This place came out as a local crepe place, and that sounded good to me. Inside is very spacious, homey but modern. There was a lot to consider, but they advertised as a crepe place so I opted for a savory and sweet crepe plus a croissant to go. Plus some macaroons because why not? Got to watch my crepes come to life, and food got dropped relatively quickly. Took pics and dug in. The crepes were fairly large and had pronounced flavors. The Paris crepe was citrusy and sugary in the right ways. The whipped cream was of low quality though, leave a film on top of the pallet and the propellant was bitter which makes the whipped cream taste cheap and out of a can. The savory crepe was odd. The presentation made it look like a sweet crepe, but it was balsamic glaze. It worked with the filling but threw off my expectations. It was funky, cheesy, and very savory. Needed a little salt to help make the cheese flavor pop. The croissants are gigantic. Did not expect as big of one for the price. Was suppose to be pistachio flavored cream but it was more almond flavored. Think they tried to use extract and lost the flavor with the sweet. The macaroons were okay, little crumbly and also lacked flavor. Not bad, but not with the price. Everything came out to about 45 bucks, so a bit pricy but the portions were large. I would expect a bit more punch in flavors for the money, but it wasn't too bad given the size. It's good crepes, and great portions. Needs better quality control on their flavors but if they can fine tune that then this would be an easy recommendation. Right now, it's fun to try but might be not to everyone's taste read more

Was in the neighborhood when my girls noticed this cute crepe restaurant. It so happened that we hadn't had lunch yet so they decided that's where we're gonna have to eat. You place your order at the counter and they bring your food and drinks to your table. We got a maple bacon crepe, crème brûlée crepe, kid's crepe, and I had to try the Dubai chocolate latte. My older daughter and I halfed each of the savory and sweet crepes so we each got to try both, while my younger daughter had the kid crepe all to herself. Overall, we thought the crepes were good - we enjoyed it, but nothing spectacular. However, I think I enjoyed my Dubai chocolate latte more than the crepes. They had some interesting drinks on the menu and I'd like to go back and try some of their other coffee creations. read more

As we were there eating our brunch and drinking my Americano Coffee, I looked out the window and snowflakes were falling. I was transported to some other place and time. I was looking for a quick healthy lunch and stopped at La Crepe in Berea. The location was great with plenty of free parking nearby. The cafe was clean and decorated nicely with flowers on all the tables. I was greeted immediately when I walked in and given a menu. Orders are placed at the counter and there were tables and window seating available to wait while food is prepared. I ordered the breakfast crepe the was freshly made and served warm. Walked to this cute bakery for a coffee because it was one of the few things open after 4:30 in downtown Berea. The girl working was less than enthusiastic to be there. Don't say hi when we walked in and barely made eye contact. Ordered a decaf latte and was given a latte that was clearly caffeinated due to the fact that it's 3am as I'm writing this and haven't slept all evening. Her attitude was very poor towards those who came in after us as well. I can put up with a bad attitude but making an order wrong when we were the only customers at the time is just poor service. Wanted to try a new restaurant and decided to come here for brunch. The layout is simple and pretty much like Northstar, where you place your order and grab a seat. We ordered a couple of crepes and french toasts. Mushroom crepe, Nutella French Toast, Big Breakfast French Toast and Squid Ink Salmon crepe. I'm a sucker for people prepping food so watching them make my food is definitely a plus. Highly recommend getting a seat by the kitchen and watch them cook. I've seen toast with melted cheese and the cheese pull on it as they set it on the plate! I see ham getting grilled, crepe being made and food assembled all before my eyes! Overall, I like the mushrooms crepe more. It's simple, but that cheese pull in every bite won me there. Nutella french toast is pretty good too!! Might want to opt out of power sugar as it makes it a tad too sweet. Squid Ink crepe is cool. But the salmon is way too salty... even though the cream cheese compliment it well and take that saltiness down a notch. But it's hard to get a perfect blend in every bite. Might be better if they could spread a layer all over the crepe before putting salmon and more cream cheese. This way, every bite has cream cheese and the whole dish won't taste that salty. read more

Today I decided to try something different with le crepe. I decided to try a sweet crepe and ordered to go online. It was a bit expensive for just one crepe in my opinion, but I am satisfied. My order was ready soon as I got there. My chocolate cheesecake crepe was pretty good! Again, maybe not that price, but still tasty. Thought this was a really neat place - came in around 10am on a weekday. There's diagonal street parking right in front of the business and I didn't have a problem getting a spot. Across the street is a large public lot that you can park in for free! Tons of spots open on a weekday during the morning. It wasn't busy at all - there are tons of tables inside that you can eat at. It wasn't really clear to me if it was a sit down restaurant with a formal waiter or you order at the front, so my mom and I kind of did an in between thing where we ordered at the front and the staff brought our food and coffee out to us. There are tons of options with the crepes here! Savory, sweet, and in between. It's around like $10 ish for a crepe, but they're huge! I am not a crepe expert by any means, but the crepe pastry was thicker than other crepes I've had, lending to the huge portion size and the fact I had trouble finishing half my crepe. I ordered a chicken florentine crepe, which had chicken-spinach-mushrooms and came with a whitish sauce. It was very delicious ! My only issue is that I wanted to try a dessert crepe but didn't have room in my tummy - which is a good problem to have, of course. A great reason to come back and try something else - the dessert / sweet crepes sounded so amazing. The decor inside is kinda kitschy with a lot of coffee/Paris themed art on the walls but has a nice community coffee shop vibe with a bulletin board promoting other local businesses. My mom got a caffe latte and there was an adorable little heart made on the top out of milk and powder. All in all, I had a really nice time. It started to get busy around 1130 ish. Regardless, I would recommend giving this place a try for breakfast, lunch, brunch, whatever! Didn't use the bathroom here, unsure of the potty situation but the tables were clean. read more

I hate to write a review like this with so many other glowing reviews, but we just did not have a good (dining) experience. The folks who work behind the counter were very pleasant and the food items were clearly made from scratch...unfortunately that did not make up for dishes that no one at our table really cared for. I ordered the ham and brie savory crepe which was served with a small side salad. The crepe was stuffed with large pieces of ham and melted brie cheese, but the entire thing was fairly dry and monotonous and was served with a small dish of ranch dressing (for dipping the crepe I suppose?). I was an odd combination, and others at the table had the same small dish of dressing on the side. I will say the the side salad was good, though! It contained a nice mix of greens, tomatoes, Parmesan flakes and a light dressing. Wish i could be more positive about the food experience, but others at my table confirmed the same feelings about their dishes as well, so I know I was not alone. read more

Very good and not too sweet. I liked the whipped cream on top as it moistened the crepe. The place is small and offers a student discount. Super yummy! I had the ratatouille crepe and my friend had the breakfast crepe. Although they are enormous and filling themselves, they also come with a side salad which was delicious (it was the first time I've ever had grapes in a salad (highly recommend). My crepe was really good. It had zucchini, mushroom and peppers. The sauce served with the crepes was okay-- nothing to rave about. My friend said it was pretty tasteless, but I think it was a subtle enhancement to the crepe. The double shot macchiato I had was delightful! And the heart art on top made my day! The decor in the restaurant is so cute! It has a Parisian feel. The employees were really nice and patient as we waited to order our food. Nice crêpe place right in downtown Berea. Nice place to stop for lunch if you're downtown. They have both savory crepes and also sweet desert crepes, plus soup. (Mary's favorite is the squid ink and smoked salmon.) One downside, it's a pretty small place, so it can get crowded if it's busy-- we're here on a Sunday at quarter past 11, and it was a 40 minute wait: plan accordingly. Theres a display case of pastries which looked fresh and delicious but thats not what i was there for. I needed me some crepes. Theres plenty of seating for my liking, its decorated to make you feel like you're in paris and that mission was accomplished. I got a couple of macaroons (OMGGGGGG) and the crepes (obvi) were to die for. I ended up getting the breakfast crepes and split them with my husband because it was a big amount for us. The breakfast crepes came with a side of pepper sauce which i feel they could have did without but to each their own. WE got some coffees to go with out crepes, not the best coffee but i wont discount them because its a crepe shop not a coffee shop ^_^There is a nice balance of sweet and savory on their menu and i feel like its almost impossible to not find something you'd like.
