Honestly this place is VERY mid. Beans are canned (especially the refried), enchilada sauce is canned. Can't imagine anything is really home made or authentic. The margs were decent. The birria tacos were decent. The other issue is coming in and putting your name down, getting told it was an hour and a half wait which was fine but if your table is ready and if you don't respond to them in 5 mins they give your table away. Got the text at 645pm, we got there by 6:49pm and our table was already sat and given to someone else. They can't handle a busy day and that was noted. Chips and salsa are good tho. So just go for margs and chips and salsa and that's really it! read more

We went to El Orito Tacos for taco Tuesday. Regular price tacos were 3.25-3.75 and ground beef or chicken tacos were only $1.50 on Tuesday but we didn't know that until we got the check, which had a 3% credit card charge. 2 stars was for the service and chewy shedded beef taco. The lady waiting on tables seemed bothered by us being there and was at the bar on her cell phone most of the time. When we left nobody thanked us for coming or even acknowledged that we left. Ate here for the first time while going for an evening walk and sure glad we did. Everything was very good. It happened to be a Tuesday so we took advantage of the taco deal and they were great. Chips, Salsa and guac were fantastic. Atmosphere is nice, clean, and service was good. The server did come to the table to take our order right as we sat in our seats so that was a little too quick because we hadn't even opened the menu yet, but other than that, we will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I came on Friday evening around 7 and had the option to sit outside or inside. Both nice! Our waitress was attentive and nice. She brought us out chips and salsa that were very good. I got the combination plate with a pork tamale and Bean Tostada. The tamale was soooo good. The sauce was yummy. Good meat to masa ratio. The tostada was a little soft, but still good. This place is new and it's always busy! I finally checked it out and it was so good. I got the vegetarian tacos - they were so good! It had mixed fajita veggies, with avocado. It comes with rice and beans. I didn't like the rice - it was very plain (almost like cilantro rice, maybe). I loved the house salsa, it was so good! It tasted so fresh and not too chunky. We stopped at this restaurant after having been at the airport picking up our son. The flight was delayed, so we drove around looking for a place to eat. Found this restaurant downtown. The decor was very nice and tables roomy. We ordered appetizers and a drink. The margarita was excellent along with the queso and guacamole. Chips were excellent. The menu looked very inviting, but we were on a time crunch. I would like to stop back someday to try the regular menu items. Friendly and fast service. read more

Had a great meal for my first visit to this or ANY El Torito. I ordered the Chicken Avocado Salad. I didn't snap a photo, because it didn't look too promising, honestly. It was just shredded iceberg lettuce with the toppings. I misjudged this salad. The chicken tenderloins were seasoned and grilled perfectly. Avocado was fresh, as were the veggies. The chipotle ranch was good- we were dipping our chips into it at the end. It was also a good portion size- I was the last one eating. I didn't order a drink, but Kristin C ^ seemed very happy after 2 margaritas and expanded her vocabulary to 7 Spanish words. Everyone enjoyed their food and I thought the tacos were good sizes Our server was friendly, efficient. Food came out quickly. I would go back, certainly. Delicious dinner at El Torito! Wonderfully decorated and very neat and clean. The staff was very friendly and pleasant and were very accommodating of me trying to use the 5 Spanish words I know :) the food was delicious. I ordered tacos, one with Al pastor and one with shrimp. The Al pastor was very tender and had pineapple with it which I loved. The shrimp taco was vey flavorful and fresh. The sangria was sweet and definitely could have had more than one!! My go to is the fajita, and having this sizzling plate of deliciousness brought to me always makes me smile. Chips and salsa are good. I went here by myself yesterday on 4/15/21 to try this new place out and it was really underwhelming.. I ordered 4 fully loaded hard shell beef tacos with light sour cream, they looked extremely basic, and after one bite, i could tell the beef wasn't fresh, and it was lightweight dry (probably from sitting in a heating pan too long or saved portions from the day before or something) so i proceeded to put some hot sauce on all the tacos, with the salsa that was provided for the chips (that were overcooked) to make the tacos taste better.. & as i was eating, my waitress provided me with one napkin and i needed more, so i walked up to the bar and asked the bartender for a couple extra napkins, after asking, he rolled his eyes like he was irritated or somethin that i asked, and gave me the napkins and apologized (even though it wasn't genuine) and i replied, it's all good. so overall, my first experience wasn't all that great, and the price i paid for just 4 hard shell beef tacos, was a joke ($16.65) like i can get better looking/tasting hard shell tacos from taco bell ngl.. and in all honesty, i don't see myself ever coming back here tbh.. p.s i "wish" i took a picture of the tacos to show you how mediocre they were for the price but instead, here's a pic from my bank app to show you i actually ate here. read more

We were traveling through Ohio and decided to try El Torito Tacos. I love Mexican food and El Torito did not disappoint. First, they have a full menu of dishes - don't be fooled by the name! My frozen raspberry margarita was great and so was the salsa! I had the Enchiladas Las Tres Marias - three different enchiladas, each with a different sauce. Highly recommend! My husband has the beef enchiladas and would recommend those as well. He said they were slightly spicy, but the right amount of heat! Bianca was our server and she was great!
