This place is run by incompetent healthcare workers. Find another lab!!!
On October 1, 20201, my father's kidney doctor faxed bloodwork orders. We check in on the kiosk at this said LabCorp on the 2nd floor.
After a long wait, no one was calling him back until one of the workers saw my father, an elderly man wearing a Korean War Veteran cap, sitting in a wheelchair.
When I get him situated to have his blood taken, the healthcare worker cannot find his orders.
I told her that the kidney doctor faxed them.
"Oh, we don't have a fax. You have to e-mail them."
Suspicious - where did the fax number come from that is on all your credentials sitting around the waiting room???
"Oh, our fax has never been hooked up. I don't know why they have that fax number listed for us."
In order to get service on my cell phone, I have to roll my father back to the waiting room, and I have to exit the office and get service close to the elevators.
By the end of all this, I made four calls to the kidney doctor's offices. Finally, right before lunch time and after sitting there for two hours, LabCorp finally finds the doctor's orders in said E-mail address provided verbally to me. **Get this - the E-mail address printed around the waiting room is not the correct address either**
Healthcare worker took three (3) vials of my father's blood on Friday, October 1, 2021, right before the office was getting closed for lunch.
A month goes by, and I still haven't heard from the kidney doctor who had put the order in to compare my father's creatine levels. I call on November 1, 2021, to see how the results were. The kidney doctor office said it had not received any bloodwork results from LabCorp. that was taken one month ago.
So the office calls LabCorp, who has no record of my father's blood being taken. Kidney doctor office even reiterates when and time that the orders were faxed and e-mailed to LabCorp at HCA Medical Building.
No record! So six weeks have gone by, regarding the kidney concerns of my father, due to the incompetence of this said LabCorp.
I call its number, and it goes to a customer service location in North Carolina. I ask if this is some kind of pop-up LabCorp because how do you lose three vials of blood and delete any evidence of my 89-year-old father ever being there???
Do not go to LabCorp, and definitely do not go to this LabCorp in the HCA Medical Building on the 2nd floor. I have been requesting of all my father's doctors and home health agency that we will not be using a LabCorp - just send our orders somewhere else.
This is extremely unprofessional and is not the first time that I have heard of blood going missing in Cypress, Texas. read more
