Came to try their Prix Fix lunch special and was pretty excited because I haven't had a set lunch in awhile. We didn't make a reservation but there was plenty of seating. - Burrata Pugliese - This was definitely the best item out of three. I thought the burrata itself was pretty good although it could a bit creamier but the roasted tomato and eggplant with the crispy bread really went well the burrata. Perhaps I can make it myself like this at my home. - Tagliatelle al Ragu Bolognese - The sauce and meat was okay but I was pretty impressed by the tagliatelle. It was a perfect al dente with still a slightly more chewy texture. - Tiramisu - Wasn't really impressed by the tiramisu which was probably half the size of the regular menu dessert. I think in general the Prix Fix menu is similar to the normal menu except they reduce the serving size quite a bit. It's still a lot of food but was a bit disappointed, so unfortunately had to subtract a star. Not sure I would come back but it was a good experience! read more

I have never eaten in the restaurant as I don't like the location and would be afraid to go there at night with just women. I did order in tonight and was tremendously disappointed. I ordered a pasta Primavera usually you get fusilli. I got spaghetti! A big boatload of spaghetti for $33! There were four little pieces of cauliflower, three slices of carrots, half dozen tiny peas, and very few very thinly sliced zucchini. It was all adequate. Not great, but not terrible except for the price which is outrageous for what I was served. The bread is spectacular! Part of the problem seems to be a lack of understanding of English when you make an order. Also, the delivery boy had the wrong name and the wrong address and by the time he got here dinner was cold and I had to reheat it. Wouldn't order from here again read more

Visited here for brunch on a rainy Sunday with a large group. The interior is gorgeous and it's a surprisingly large space! During our time our service was very slow with a few confusions over our order. I asked if they had cold brew or just iced coffee, and was told then they had both. When we tried to order cold brew once everyone got there, I was told they didn't have cold brew which was odd. We ordered two sides of fries and asked for one truffle and one regular, both served were regular with no truffle. Both the Caesar and the La Voglia salads were very bland. Their dressings just didn't have any flavor. They forgot to make one of our salads so while everyone had their food, someone had to wait for a bit without theirs. We did love the bacon, side of berries, and the pasta! If you visit here, I would only recommend ordering the pizza or pasta. read more

Pleasantly surprising restaurant! Came here for a work dinner and they easily accommodated our group. They provide bread and breadsticks which were fresh and nice. Breadsticks were thin and crispy. We went back to La Voglia for Mother's Day dinner and while the ambiance, service and food is still great, I have noticed the portion sizes have dramatically decreased since they've been opened in 2023. The portion sizes have gotten smaller and smaller. This is sad to see. For Mother's day they had a special pre-fixe $75 3 course menu and a smaller subset of the main menu. It was not the full regular menu as regularly offered but a smaller selection. I asked the server and they said as they have so many reservations the kitchen would not be able to accommodate the wide variety as they normally would on a regular day. If I would have known about the smaller regular menu, this would have been a no-go for me. For example, they normally offer 8 different types of pizzas, however on Mother's Day they only offered 4 different kinds. I looked at my older pictures and the portion sizes are definitely smaller, for example the fried calamari is much smaller, same as the tagliatella ragu di bologna and the octopus as well! All so much smaller. While this review is not against the service or the flavor of the dishes, this is mainly to contest the menu and how much smaller the portions have gotten. The pizza is very mediocre. Super floppy pizza. I wouldn't get again. I feel like I have had frozen pizzas that have been better than their margarita pizza the flavors were fine. Nothing to write home about their drinks however, are spot on. They have a great wine selection. Their espresso martini is amazing. Laze was our bartender and he makes amazing cocktails. La Voglia hosted a bridal shower for my cousin and it came out beautifully! They were so accommodating with our requests and everyone had an amazing time. The food is also delicious. Would definitely recommend using them to host an event or just to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately I did not get many pictures of the space but it is beautiful with all of the open windows. I was not impressed with the food here. Which was sucky because I had heard both good and bad reviews of this place. The atmosphere and bar area are very pretty. The bathrooms are very pretty as well! And are cool. It was a bit hot when I was there so I went to the bathroom stall to cool down a bit! The service was good. For starters I had the special mushroom ravioli. It came out and first thing I noticed was how saucey it looked. I took a bite it was good. I had some bread and butter too and the bread tasted a bit hard. The asparagus to me tasted a bit salty and the steak that we shared I was not impressed at all. I got the sauce on the side and even when I dipped the steak in it, it still did not taste good. For dessert I had the lemon sorbet it was very lemony. read more

Elegant Italian restaurant with a huge capacity of outdoor and indoor sesting. Came here for a summer brunch and the walls are opened up, which creates a very nice resort feel to the place. I like my coffee strong and was pleasantly surprised that their iced coffee still retained good coffee flavor. All of our food came out perfectly cooked and tasty. Servers were friendly, checked on us often, and made sure our table was clean at all times. Bathroom was extremely clean and came with sturdy high end napkins. La Voglia is a lovely addition to the neighborhood! It's a beautifully decorated spot that felt very cozy and welcoming on a cold winter evening. I found La Voglia to be very accommodating and family friendly so long as you dine around 5 PM. They have high chairs. On this visit we ordered salad and pizza and were very pleased with both. I will say the main courses are on the pricier side. For this reason, this would be more of a special occasion place in my view. The Caesar salad ($20) was fresh with a generous dusting of delicious cheese and a very good dressing. It came with anchovies and tasted authentic. The margherita pizza ($18) was a nice size and had high-quality fresh mozzarella cheese on top. The crust was particularly good. I would order both dishes again. I wanted to like this place since it's in the neighborhood and I'd been once before when it was significantly less busy. First, I'll say that I do like the ambiance here. The restaurant has a nice layout between the dining room and a separate bar area. However, on this particular night, it was about the only thing they had going for them. We got the feeling they just could not keep up with what you could call the "holiday season traffic"... or maybe just Saturdays? The place was busy and they were clearly not prepared to handle it. On top of that, we got vibe they were trying to turn tables over quickly. Everything felt rushed.. except for anything to drink. It took quite some time for them to bring water to the table. Enough that the manager noticed and came over himself to finally ask our preference. On top of that, wine is probably the route to go here. The drinks were abysmal. I ordered the smoggy UES which I have had before and quite liked. It tasted nothing like last time.. barely drinkable. Tried an old fashioned next.. had to send it back. The rest of the table tried their luck with espresso martinis and cosmo's. The cosmo had to go back. A bright spot may have been the purple rain which was apparently quite good. However, when we ordered another round, it tasted nothing like first.. go figure. It took quite some time to get these drinks replaced because there was "a large party" in the back. Just a frustrating experience but seemed the problem was primarily with the bar. As for the food, it was fine. Appetizers were good and entree's were tough to get wrong. We went with a pizza and the tagliatelle. We skipped on dessert because the party just wanted get somewhere we could actually enjoy a drink. We live across the street and have been to La Voglia many times -- full seated dinners, weekend brunches, cocktails and bites at the bar. I've brought out-of-town guests here and supported them regularly since they opened. But the service today shocked me. We came by at 5:45pm on a Thursday, hoping to enjoy a drink and a couple of appetizers on their mostly empty patio. There were only two other tables seated in the entire restaurant. We politely asked if we could sit outside for apps and drinks -- said we were okay to pay full price since the happy hour was lounge seating only and also planned to order apps as well. Instead, we were told we couldn't sit unless we ordered full dinners. Not because the tables were reserved (they weren't -- we were offered one if we agreed to play by their arbitrary rules), but because apparently, sipping a glass of wine and enjoying a few small plates isn't enough for them? I get wanting to maximize table turnover, but this was shortsighted and incredibly ungracious, especially for a place that styles itself as a neighborhood spot. Denying loyal, local customers in an empty restaurant is baffling -- but hey, if they'd rather have empty tables than paying customers, that's on them. read more
