This was the only pizza joint open within walking distance after a long day traveling here. The place was clean and the staff were pleasant. We didn't order fresh because we didn't want to wait so we order a cheese slice and buffalo slice along with garlic knots and pizza rolls. Who knows how long they were on display for but the food didn't disappoint. The garlic knots and rolls very really good. I could have a couple of them and be full. The pizza was how I prefer. I came in with an open mind looking for a chicken gyro and I was blessed. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The fries were not too hard and not too soft. My interest was piqued and I ordered a slice of pepperoni and was so pleased. I unfortunately ate it before I took a picture of it but what was so appealing was the fact that it had more than enough pepperoni, unlike other pizza places that don't put enough. La Pizza has OK food, good prices and abhorrent service. Besides ordering food from this location uneventfully on several occasions, here's why this location doesn't deserve your business. On 10/28/2018 I was returning to my condo on a busy street when a parked car with the La Pizza topper was left unattended with its hazard lights on. As a result, I had to stop and wait in traffic for the driver to return and move his car. If my phone hadn't died right then, I'd have called a policeman to issue a citation or at least taken a proper photo of the license plate. Instead all I've got is dashcam video of it, which isn't enough to issue a summons to the business. Anyway, the owner's response explains why they're not deserving of your business. I called the location and explained what had occurred. The owner acknowledged it and apologized eventually, to which I explained I was not satisfied. I showed up the following business day and explained once again - the owner, again, didn't care one bit. He didn't care that I was inconvenienced one bit. I don't know about you, but if I had a delivery driver impede someones access to their home I'd at the VERY LEAST least acknowledge that the driver was incorrect to have done so. That's literally all I ever wanted, though it'd be nice to know the owner cared more. For these reasons and more I cannot recommend La Pizza. read more

This place is a hit or miss, one day I am eating one of the best pizzas I've ever had in NNJ and the next day I am like " WTF is this"

I would avoid their pizza, not the best in the area (at all). Their specialty is their wings (19 different kinds of sauces) so hook yourself up with some of that yumminess. I tried their 10-pc wings with Buffalo Gold sauce and Hot & Spicy Garlic sauce. Buffalo Gold is the true winner though - tangy mustard sauce mixed in with BBQ. The hot & spicy garlic sauce was unique in flavor, but not quite sure how to really describe its taste. Definitely a lot of garlic bits, but not that WHAM-BAM garlic flavor. Also, I noted this even before I went. In Tony Bourdain's "No Reservation's" New Jersey episode, they do replays of a drive-by passing La Pizza at least 5x throughout that episode. Mr. Owner-Man, you really should post some sort of ad about that on your windows :). The owner is the nicest guy ever - incredibly accommodating, incredibly kind and he even rounded our bill down tonight just to keep it even. read more

I recently moved to Harrison, and am absolutely loving it! Awesome community, easy commute to NYC and pretty close access to all major NJ routes/roads. What I feel Harrison is lacking, is quality food. Both take-out joints and classy restaurants (Tops excluded). I came across La Pizza on my way home and ordered two days in a row, ordering a diverse random selection. Their pizza slices are huge, like a quarter of a pie huge! And cheap...like super cheap! One slice feels me up and with their 2 slice + can of soda for $5 combo, consider them feeding the masses at an affordable price! The crust and base are solid. No complaints of the sauce and the cheese is a healthy (yet not too cheesy) serving. Their wings are great! Cheap and a fresh and meaty bite. They have 20+ flavors offering diversity with every order. Overall, this is a welcomed resturant in Harrison that I will be frequently grabbing food from! read more

So I've ordered from this place before for delivery and they normally get the job done. Regular food at a regular price and they deliver. Good so far right? Wrong. I just placed an order for delivery as I've done before and they cancelled the order. No call. No text. No explanation. No nothing. This place is about 9 mins away from me. So I call them to ask what's going on and the explanation I get is because they "don't want to deliver because they think it's a dangerous area." Wow. Sounds fishy to me but oh well. Bought a large pepperoni pizza and wings. The pizza crust was thin, pie was greasy, sauce was ok. I would give them another try but order an extra large instead. The owner/pizza maker reassured me the time of how long it would take my pizza to be done without me asking. I left and enjoyed it at home. Within an hour the whole pie was gone. Each bite was increasingly addicting as the combo of herbs in the sauce meet the perfect layer of cheese and crispy dough. "The flop" thaT has become annoyingly prevalent as a measure of rating NJ/NY slices was perfect, yet each bite an incredibly satisfying crispy crunch to it. We went for lunch because we had eaten there last year and enjoyed it. Two of us had the house specialty pizza. Fabulous. We had the sautéed spinach in garlic and oil with Parmesan cheese appetizer. Tough to review this place. The pizza is good and the wings used to be good. I have no idea what happened to the wings. I just ordered last night, 25 wings, with mild sauce. They were delivered quickly but OMG, they were so very heavily floured and breaded, with the sauce on top, they turned into a giant gloppy mushy mess. Sheets of breaking sliding off. Geez, what happened to this place, they used to make such great wings. Now the wings almost remind me of the Banquet frozen dinner chicken, except Banquet is better. So disappointed. This is the best local pizza money can buy, I have been eating here for several years, but the thing to eat here is the garlic knots (beware of garlic breath). It might not be the best pizza in town but it's the cheapest (2 large pies for $15.99!) and I can walk to pick it up so it wins. Very thin crust, kind of oily, might even have too much cheese. But when you're watching a game at home or just don't feel like cooking because it's 306 degrees outside....then pick up a six-pack at Lito's and a couple of pies from La Pizza and you're good to go! read more

The man on the phone seemed irritated and told me the delivery guy left 7 min ago. When I asked if he was sure he said "yeah he left like 5 min ago". Finally after a hour I revived a call that our pizza was down stairs. In the end the pizza is not all that great. The crust is tough to chew. A lot like Chuck E. Cheese pizza. Nothing special.
