    Vodka pizza with pasta
    Maggie B.

A solid local pizza place. I ordered takeout from here. They have an extensive menu with all your Italian and deli favorites. I got a penne vodka pizza, Caesar salad, appetizer sampler, and wings. Everything was very tasty and the portions were generous. The penne vodka pizza had a ton of pasta on it. The sauce was great and nicely balanced out the crispy crust. The appetizer sampler was perfect for sharing and included mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, chicken fingers and fries. Something for everyone. The wings had a nice spicy kick to them and came with a large cup of blue cheese. The salad also came with bread. Overall, I would recommend this place. The prices were reasonable and the food was ready on time. Can't ask for much more!

I had the fettuccini calabrese with shrimp. It was very good. It was very flavorful and came with bread. They had shrimp in it. I wish there was a bit more shrimp in there. The bacon and sauce were great. I would probably order fromm this place again. It was a Grubhub order. The portion was well worth the price because I ate this in 3 different sittings and I love to eat,, very good portion.

Just had 2 slices and a beef patty. Came out to $11 basically.

The pizza is some of the best pizza in the ironbound area. The beef patty had a crispy exterior and delicious inside. Highly recommend.

    House salad was very good.

Food arrived during the estimated time frame. It was delivered by a friendly employee of Napoli's. I ordered food for friends as well, the comments here include their opinions as well. The hot eggplant sandwich was okay but eggplant was mushy. The sausage and meatball sandwiches were okay but sauce was very acidic, making them inedible beyond a few bites, because the sauce created indigestion. The meatball side order was likewise inedible only because of the highly acidic tomato sauce, not because the meatballs were bad. The Grandma pizza slice was a disappointment as it had mozzarella on it. Other than it being a thinner crust than the sicilian pizza there is no real difference. Grandma pizza is not supposed to have mozzarella cheese, it is basically a tomato pie with grated cheese and no other cheese. The sicilian slice was okay but not the best I've ever had. The order was delivered on time, and exactly as ordered, including the extra sauce and sides of hot pepper flakes and oregano asked for. I would order from Napoli's again but nothing with their sauce on it because of the acidity. It's a good choice for people staying in Newark Airport area hotels for sure.

Convenient location because it is right by my job. Have had good experience with the food so far. The staff is nice. You can dine in or take out. Prices are reasonable. I either order their Italian sub which is a great size for around $7 or their pizza special which is 2 plain slices and a can of soda or bottled water for about $4. Food is filling and have not had any complaints. Card minimum is $5 which is amazing

I always order from them. Today I ordered what I always do. Large pie with meatball. Today I go there and they try and hand me a medium pizza with meatball as a large and want to charge me $17.95 when in the past a large with meatball is $14 something. Rip off scumbagery !!!!! Never again. I hate scum bag rip off artists. FU

First time trying them since my go to pizza spot is closed. First and last time. Its just not my preference. Being from newark, when u ask for an Italian cheeseburger u expect a cheeseburger on a hoagie with fries on top, and a California is on a round bun with lettuce and tomatoes. Asked for an Italian cheeseburger they asked if I wanted lettuce n tomatoes I say NO just mayo ketchup fries and cheeseburger. They still send a California cheeseburger. Meat and cheese on the italian combo sub is cut soooo thick. I hate thick sliced cold cuts the hoagie roll was fresh tho, honestly the hoagie bread was the ONLY thing I enjoyed. Wings smelled like old dirty grease soon as I opened the bag, the smell is so strong I cant even bring my self to eat one. Pizza looked great but was soooo bland even with the extra marinara sauce I ordered. 63$ including tip for nothing. Not one item was actually good everything except the wings was just tolerable because I'm hungover and starving. Wont be ordering from them ever again.

1st time ordering here and definitely not the last. I ordered on the slice app and the whole experience was great. The food arrived hot and fresh within the timeframe I was given. I must say they do not skimp on the toppings. It was delicious and I have enough for dinner as well. This is definitely going to be a goto spot in Newark when I'm in the mood for pizza!

    Awesome lasagna!

First off, I wish I lived closer because I had scrumptious left overs and I sure wish I didn't have to toss them since I'm leaving tomorrow to go back home. Everything I ordered was very good. The pasta a fagioli soup was fresh and delicious. The lasagna was very tasty and the garlic and mozzarella bread was perfect with both. I am saving this one as a return restaurant when I am back in town on business. Very satisfied.

Perfectly cooked pasta. "Everything is homemade," Angelo explained later. Smart and fairly well-priced wine list. We asked why the 2020 Carparzo Brunello di Montalcino was so low priced, and learned the wine has been priced the same since their father closed their Upper East Side location and the kids opened in Newark. "New York food at NJ prices," Angelo explained. "I've never had tiramisu I've liked better", husband told me. "I've never had flan Ive liked better" I told him. (It is coconut flan.) Great service. We were seated at a table and instantly impressed by the friendliness of the waiter and visit from the pwner. The menu is classic Italian food (no pizza). They bring out a plate of bruschetta on crostini bread which was fresh and delicious. For food, we had Veal piccata and Chicken Francese. My son had Pasta bolognese. Definitely prefer the chicken over the veal, and my son ate his whole,e bowl ao Id say the bolognese is really good too. Veal was just a little tough but the sauce was totally on point, saved the meal. We will absolutely come back to try more dishes. Homemade pasta will def be next visit. Excellent ambience and great friendly staff. Love it.

The food was absolutely amazing really flavorful and well done. Just be a little prepared that most dishes come in smaller portions. But the quality definitely makes up for it. I ordered the paella, and it's easily enough for two or even three people and it was well worth it. Really delicious. The drinks were also definitely worth trying while you're there. Girls' night rule #1: pick a place with a vibe. Girls' night…read morerule #2: the food better back it up. Burke's Tavern understood the assignment. None of us had been before, so we walked in blind, except not really, because the second we stepped inside the vibe hit us. Dimmed lights (but not "can't read the menu" dim), candles glowing, plants everywhere, music just loud enough to feel cool but not loud enough to ruin the gossip. Cozy. Chill. Cute. The holy trinity. It wasn't packed, so we had seating options and landed at a round table in the middle: elite positioning, honestly. Door and front windows on one side, bar view on the other. Prime people-watching real estate. Now let's discuss the important part: the food. We ordered strategically (read: everything we wanted). Lamb meatballs - 10/10. Holy crap. I don't know who is back there doing what, but please continue. Burrata pizza - absolutely delicious. Gone in record time. Gochu-Crispy-Chikin - no notes. Million Dollar Chicken - appropriately named. Fish 'N' Chips - zero complaints across the table. And that's the thing: not a single person in the group had an issue. No side-eye. No "it's good, but..." Just clean plates and happy energy. Now. Parking? Disrespectful. It's on a corner (love that), but finding parking took effort (do not love that). Would I let that stop me? Absolutely not. Parking be damned. I will circle. I will walk. I will manifest a spot. Because this place is such a vibe that it's already secured a return visit -- brunch is calling, and I need to see what this place feels like when the weather warms up.
