I recently moved to the Ironbound and needed to find myself a pizza place. Luckily, this place is only a few blocks from my apartment. It's not very big and doesn't seem to be popular for eat-in dining, but it is always busy with people getting take out. The pizza itself has rather thin crust and the sauce is great. I love their margherita pizza. If you eat there, be prepared to pay for drinks even if you get water. They only have bottled. The only down side is that because it's a small place and busy the service can be slow. Order in advance and then you can pick it up or have it delivered when you're ready to eat. I added photos of the menu for anyone who needs it!

Caveat Emptor: ("let the buyer beware" in Latin.). First time I came here the cashier tried to short me a few bucks when handing me back my change. I didn't think anything of it, because it could have been a mistake. This time they over charged me and I had to complain. Not good. Still the Pizza is passable, if a bit too greasy. I would avoid the chicken Caesar salad, they load it with dressing and the lettuce comes wilted.

This place charged me $0.75 for dressing on a wrap. Who does that? Unfortunately this businesa has gone down in customer service. Where in America do you charge for dressing on a wrap? Only in the hood. And its sad because thia neighborhood was far from the hood. Management catering to new customers that know no better.

    Grilled chicken ceasar salad.

Pizza Village is by far the best pizza shop in the Ironbound. Forget all the others. This pizza rules. Fast delivery, good prices.

Best pizza in the Ironbound. I can't even remember the other pizzaria's names. I always get my pie with extra sauce. It is that good!

Girls' night rule #1: pick a place with a vibe. Girls' night…read morerule #2: the food better back it up. Burke's Tavern understood the assignment. None of us had been before, so we walked in blind, except not really, because the second we stepped inside the vibe hit us. Dimmed lights (but not "can't read the menu" dim), candles glowing, plants everywhere, music just loud enough to feel cool but not loud enough to ruin the gossip. Cozy. Chill. Cute. The holy trinity. It wasn't packed, so we had seating options and landed at a round table in the middle: elite positioning, honestly. Door and front windows on one side, bar view on the other. Prime people-watching real estate. Now let's discuss the important part: the food. We ordered strategically (read: everything we wanted). Lamb meatballs - 10/10. Holy crap. I don't know who is back there doing what, but please continue. Burrata pizza - absolutely delicious. Gone in record time. Gochu-Crispy-Chikin - no notes. Million Dollar Chicken - appropriately named. Fish 'N' Chips - zero complaints across the table. And that's the thing: not a single person in the group had an issue. No side-eye. No "it's good, but..." Just clean plates and happy energy. Now. Parking? Disrespectful. It's on a corner (love that), but finding parking took effort (do not love that). Would I let that stop me? Absolutely not. Parking be damned. I will circle. I will walk. I will manifest a spot. Because this place is such a vibe that it's already secured a return visit -- brunch is calling, and I need to see what this place feels like when the weather warms up. Girls' night/date night/ANY night approved.

The atmosphere and restaurant look great. It has a good vibe and the service was great. Let me tell you about the burger, not the best, they give you a slider size patty, overcooked and served on a bun that comes apart when you grab it. I'm not sure about the rest of the menu, but not a burger place. Now the chocolate cake with the raspberry ice cream--wow! This was the best part of the meal. I'm giving this place 4 stars even though I didn't like the burger because that's all I tried. I'll come back and revise this rating up/down if I come back and try other menu items. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

(I believe Nino's II existed for a quick moment up there in North Arlington but my memory ain't what it used to be.) After driving past (the original) Nino's on the way home from work for the last few months I realized I was overdue for a visit. First thing: from the outside it looks a bit weathered but inside? It's vibrant and lively and eased my initial concerns. (As soon as I walked in at the very first table was a little kid and his abuela. He made it a point to interact with me coming and leaving and that kid made my day... he's getting 5-stars for being awesome!) As for the pizza... it's a respectable "large" - they ain't skimping, which is a nice change of pace. (Hats off to the pizzaiolo because it wasn't a true/normal/expected circle but something closer to a Reuleaux triangle mixed with a squircle.) Geometry aside... the pie tasted good. Nothing flashy or fancy - just a legit (thin) pie. The (steak) fries were a bit bland and boring, I can't lie. And their cavatelli and broccoli was... decent. It would've benefited from a bit more 'pop' (salt, olive oil, garlic, you name it.) I haven't been here in eons and I hope they'll be around for another 40-something-years. Worth mentioning: it's one of the very few pizzerias to have a liquor license. (I'd definitely come back again for the not-so-perfectly-round pizza but would pass on the fries and pasta...)

The pepperoni and Sicilian slices were particularly impressive, and I would even say this is the best Sicilian pizza I've ever had. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty pizza experience. However, the restaurant appears to be quite deserted, and it would definitely benefit from more patrons to ensure it receives the attention it deserves.

Backed by celebrity investors like LeBron James and Maria Shriver, the concept is an assembly-line approach to customizable artisanal-style pies. Think Chipotle, but make it pizza. Personal sized, thin crust pizza (6 slices) is built right in front of you in an open kitchen, then fired in an oven for 3 minutes. You can finish things off with drizzles of various sauces or a handful of arugula if you fancy extra embellishment. Choose a signature pie or build your own - I love that you can have any toppings for one flat price. For the allergen or diet conscious: gluten-free, cauli, and keto crusts are all available alongside the original and high-rise doughs. We also tried the protein-zza, a California-style chicken & veggie pizza made with cauliflower crust. I was fully prepared to be smug about detecting the alternative crust, but couldn't tell the difference at all. It was generously loaded with toppings, and the roasted garlic really made the taste pop. Fresh, vibrant flavors all around. We went on a Sunday so it wasn't too crowded and service was swift, and the pizzas came out beautifully. For a quick-serve franchise, this place delivered high-performance pies that defied my expectations.

Despite the staff being friendly and the pizza being delicious, I don't think the rodízio is worth it. They take too long to bring the pizza and the slices are very small.
