They have a unique style of pizza which is quite good. The place is very small, but they have a couple of stools at the counter and some small round tables, but is a little cramped. Of course there is the requisite Sopranos memorabilia on the wall. The parking lot is shared with a neighboring business, so sometimes there are no spaces, but there is street parking. It is also a bit hard to get out of sometimes. They do have some pie and slice specials, but it is always good to ask what they have going on currently. read more

Come for the Sopranos vibes, stay for the two slice and a soda special ($5). Just don't look too hard when everything comes out of a broken down freezer and into the fryer/microwave. Also, known as Sopranos Pizza since this is the same pizza joint that appears in the opening credits in Sopranos. Although, the cooks here are definitely not Italian, the pizza itself is excellent if you enjoy thin crust pizza. A slice goes for about $3. I had 2 slices, but could have had a 3rd one to fill me up better. This place is a hole in the wall dive with only 2 tables if you choose to eat there. Growing up in Kearny, I was surrounded with the absolute best pizza. As an adult in Morris county, not so much. My husband still works in Kearny so during a busy week he asked if I would like to have pizza and offered to pick up on the way home. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is fine; but it's not great. Still... Pizzaland has upheld its thin crust tradition in yet another visit to this place. This time I added an eggplant parm hero to the mix as well. We got the Buffalo Chicken pizza as usual and the Quattro Formaggio pie. I was a little nervous that the 4 cheese pie came with American cheese..... but it worked.... I'm telling ya.... These thin crust pies hit the spot. A tad on the pricey side but very good. The Buffalo Chicken pie was not too spicy and the 4 cheese had the right kick with the zing of for different cheese hitting you at once. Eggplant parm hero was above average. Better than a lot of pizza places. Sauce and cheese was excellent. The downfall was the the eggplant was a little too chewy. On this rare occasion, we did delivery because I was just exhausted and it took a little over an hour. Everything was hot and fresh, so no complaints. I highly recommend if you happen to be in North Arlington, cash only and strictly for pick up, parking is a bit hard but there's a lot right next to it where you can pull in and go and pick up. A large pie will cost you around $13 and they also sell personal bar pies, if you're into thin crust and bar pies this is your spot, would give this place a 8.3. read more

Over the years I have passed this pizza joint over a hundred times. A small hole in the wall on the Belleville Pike (Rte 7). One day we decided to stop and grab a pizza!! (Mostly because the hubs is a Sopranos fan) Was very surprised at how good it was. If you like thin crust this is a good spot. We only get pizza from here when we don't feel like going out. Now.. I'm not saying they are the best but they are good. I like thin crust and my greedy ass could eat a whole pie by myself!! ( it's that thin) but cooked perfectly. Pizza Land... an institution that's been around for as long as I can remember. (But if we're being honest: as a kid I never liked their pizza no matter how hard their loyalists wanted to defend and argue how great it was.) It's been a good twenty years since I last gave Pizza Land a shot (it was ideally within stumbling distance of The Silver Bell, Molly's and O'Neil's - R.I.P. to the lot of them!) so I figured, "Well they can't be any worse than Nonna Lisa down the road." Expectations were mighty low and lemme tell ya: the family gobbled up the food in record time. A well-executed thin pizza. Seriously over-the-top garlic bread. Decent/standard garlic knots (an order only has 3 knots so of course I let the rest of the family have them and missed out and only going on their reviews). Me an my friends from work went here for lunch brake, ordered 2 pies one half cheese half pepperoni & one half hawian half buffalo. It was the most sloppy most disgusting pizza Iv ever had in my life!! We grabbed a "slice" and it was all floppy and everything slid right off of it. I would b embarrassed if I serve my costumers that. Then we go to pay and the guy charges us 47 bucks like WTF! My friends didn't want to be rude so no one said anything an we paid. But if I was alone I would of walked out that place soon as I saw that nasty ass pizza. Do not recommend!! Stay tf away! Pizza Land has been on my list since seeing it on the Sopranos intro. The Sopranos is perhaps one of the greatest shows of all time. I asked myself, would the pizza featured in the intro in such be one of the greatest as well? Well, I finally found out. Pizza Land is not somewhere you take a first date. It's tiny, with 3 high-top tables and a diner-style bar where you can eat your pizza. They have Sopranos memorabilia decorating the place. We ordered 2 bar pies and 4 slices to go. I watched in marvel as the chef made our pizzas. The pizza was really good. Definitely makes it on to the list of the best, but certainly does not top it. It's not your typical pie, thus cannot be compared to your traditional pizzerias. The crust is on the thin side, though not paper thin. With just the right amount of sauce and cheese. It had a different flavor then I am used to, perhaps more garlic/seasonings on the crust. read more

** Got the last pie of the night.*** So, Soprano's. So much Jersey love. The opening credits are a car trip many of us have made with Tony leaving NYC from the Lincoln Tunnel and making his way to the North Caldwell area. I was making my way back from Fair Lawn and needed a quick bite to eat and since we passed Pizzaland on the way, I'd figure let's stop in. I read about delicious $1 slices so I knew what I was expecting. Well this place is a dive. We walk in and it is nearly 11 pm so may be closing time but, it definitely wasn't the most festive of ambiance. Seinfeld playing on the one tv, I take a seat at the counter. This place is small, like barely 2 tables and a counter small. There is one other sketchy guy (really not that sketchy) waiting for his order. The guy gruffly asks what I want. I'll take 2 slices one regular one with pepperoni and sausage. He takes out this old looking pie, cuts off 2 slices adds toppings to one and throws it in the oven. Well just seeing that made me realize this pizza experience was going to be 3 star or lower; the pizza looked like it had been sitting out for days. However, both slices were $3.20. Definitely a penny saver. The slices are thin crust, like super thin crust and greasy. The toppings were decent and definitely added to the taste. The 'zas here are super cheap, a large comes with a free topping and runs you about $9. But, when I say the pizza is thin crust, it's extremely thin crust. So my two slices actually equals one slice or, at least that's what I keep telling myself. And again, they were good. Best pizza ever? Not quite but, whatev's. Decent enough and I mean c'mon it's in the Soprano's opening credits. Awesome. Overall, Pizzaland is a solid spot. Definitely a destination for Soprano's nostalgia rather than delightful customer service and amazing pizza (though their fresh pizza may be legendary!) but, I'd imagine Tony S wouldn't have it any other way. read more

As a local, and actually not such a pizza fanatic, I must say this place will prove you wrong. They make the crust thin enough and just at the exact toasted-ness that is needed. Actually the guy will even ask you if you want it toasted! The slices are small and thing (but only $1 each!). The pizza isn't too saucy, which I love, and not too much crust either. The staff is great, same people all the time (although placing your order by phone is sometimes a bit of an issue- to get someone to actually answer). Delivery takes forever...but if you pick it up, they'll give you free paper plates and most of the time they'll give me a free slice too! This place will make you love pizza again! And yes, they sell their pizza frozen and will even deliver it to Alaska! lol read more
