Mr. Pizza has the weirdest delivery people I've ever seen - They call you to come get your pizza as they stand out in the street. Today's delivery boy was the worst - I had to walk outside and wait after he called, as he sat in his car. Finally came out of the car to say that he was trying to figure out if he was delivering to the correct address. He showed me the address written out, I read it just fine, but he couldn't. So why he didn't ask me this when he called is a mystery. Don't know where they get these employees from, that's an even bigger mystery! Hopeless.... read more

(The following positive review was not influenced at all by the fact that the gentleman behind the counter making the pies and working the oven looks like he could be a bouncer at a NYC nightclub that wouldn't even let me past the velvet rope to get in.) Google and Slice originally lured me into East Rutherford to give Mr. Pizza a shot and let me tell you: my family loved their pie. The pizza leans a bit on the thinner side, well-done (nothing worse than an undercooked pie, right?), the sauce is slightly salty to let the sauce pop, and the crust is decent. This being Jersey: on my first visit I was miffed that parking stinks (after a K-turn and U-turn and jug-handle turn I finally found a spot!) and the place itself looks like an under-lit hole in the wall.  (But on repeat visits at least the parking got easier.) We've also tried the garlic bread (really good, and I appreciate it being portioned and not just a long loaf of bread) and the Mrs. and the kids were happy as a lark (no clue what a lark is, by the way) with their mozzarella sticks. Did not order a pizza, so I can not speak for that. But did have calzones and really enjoyed them. My boyfriend ordered three different calzones for the Super Bowl and they were all amazing. Being that this is a local spot - I'll be returning back to try a pizza. read more

Special spot. Very special. So we live in the middle of the Pizza trail of NJ.. I'm close to all the legendaery spots and within a mile radius I have three amazing local spots. Amazing. Worldly type NJ pizza spots.. but u know what? One sticks out a little more for some reason. I wondered why. It's in a fully residential area in a super unexpected spot. I used to drive by for years and years wondering that it's gotta be good if it's been here this long. Now I know why. I finally figured it out. Their weekend pizzeolo's been there for 17 years and the weekday guy has been there for over 20. These guys are certified and the pizza well done.. at least for me, is the best in the entire area. When I really need a pie almost to myself, this is my go to Neoplolitan pie. The cheese/ sauce ration is Perfect and the cheese just tastes better for some reason. The sauce has perfect balance. The rest .. in the hands and care of the two pizza masters that ALWAYS make the pizza. They're always super nice and willing to chat. I had a very long conversation about pizza with the weekend guy. They understand it. They get it. The respect it. All the pizza spots around here respect each other. It's just Aweosme! I've never tried anything else their except their pizza, but I hear it's all just as good. I go to the other neighboring spots for what I think they're best for, but when it comes to the simple large cheese pie, it's Mr. Pizza. Period. read more

Ordered 2 sandwiches from them. Both were horrible. Chicken cutlet sandwich was supposed to have provolone cheese. No cheese was on sandwich. Tomatoes were cut paper thin and mushy. Onions were added but were not in the description. Chicken was overcooked and dry. The Artery clogger sandwich was also overcooked chicken with a few soggy French fries and smashed mozzarella sticks. Ordered on the Slice app. Let them know and they got back to me right away letting me know the restaurant was sorry but offered us nothing. Slice was nice enough to give us $5.00 credit. Mr. PIZZA lost a customer, we will not be ordering from them again. read more

So I was recommended this place and I thought it was just average. The pizza was soggy which is not my preference. When you even heat the pizza the next day it wasn't so great. I may give the sandwiches a try one day but I may stay away from the pizza. read more

Website says one price. I ordered, and got a much higher price. The excuse was that the website is old, no apologies or further explanations. I don't know what's happened to this place. I used to order all the time but starting the beginning of this year the quality of the food has gone downhill. The pizza is absolutely flavorless. Well we finally found our new regular Italian Delivery spot... The food was excellent. The quality was easily apparent, as you could tell they use quality ingredients. The portion sizes were very generous. We tried two apps and two entrees and we loved everything we ordered. We would definitely recommend the Garlic Cheese Balls. This is the best pizza in the area! My hubs and I were on a search for specifically the closest thing to Brooklyn pizza in the area. After trying about 4 or 5 other places, Mr. pizza was recommended to us in a facebook group. (Yes we even posted our request to find deliccious pizza in fb groups). The other pizza places tasted great, but this was the closest to finding the taste we love the most. (Cheesy greasy goodness) They are reasonably priced, maybe even the cheapest weve tried AND they have this awesome menu of specialty sandwhiches that no other resturant weve come across has. read more
