This is a classic deli, walls full of tomatoes, pasta, family photos, and citizen of the year awards. (It only takes one interaction to understand why.) you can sit outside in nice weather, but the chit chat inside makes you feel especially welcome. My only regret is we forgot to get cannolis on the way out. (Probably because the portions are huge.) Not far off the highway so you can keep dad feeling like we're still making good time. We'll be back on our next Northeast haul.

I ordered the buffalo wings, garlic knots, a small cheese pizza with vodka sauce instead of marinara & mushrooms, and a cannoli. The wings were not Buffalo, they were a mix between Buffalo and bbq. If I had known, would not have ordered. Did not like the bbq sauce flavor. I also asked for ranch as I despise bleu cheese but alas, I did not get ranch and had to eat my wings plain. Garlic knots were perfect. The pizza tho. Ugh, it was so bad. They made a cheese mushroom pizza with way too much cheese and then put the vodka sauce on top after!!! Like a drunken grandma pie. That's not what I wanted. I asked for, "a cheese pizza with vodka sauce." It was so soggy that it soaked through the bottom of the box. Stayed soggy even after reheating in the oven. I ate half a slice and tossed the rest sadly. I won't be ordering from here again. The cannoli was fine but wouldn't order again either. The only thing I would eat again is the garlic knots. Very disappointing for Jersey pizza.

This place was great. The people working were having a good time, joking around with us and making us feel at home. Formal Complaint Regarding Customer Service at Pizza Plaza in Secaucus, NJ…read more Today, October 24, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., I visited Pizza Plaza in Secaucus, New Jersey, to purchase a slice of cheese pizza with bacon added for an additional charge of approximately $1.50. Unfortunately, this experience was yet another disappointing encounter with the same cashier, a gentleman of Colombian descent. This is now the third time I have visited this establishment and experienced what I consider to be an unacceptable attitude from him when placing the same order. On the two previous occasions, the cashier gave me unpleasant looks and explained that they could not keep making this order because bacon gets used up quickly and they are very busy. Although I found his attitude inappropriate, I chose to let those incidents go without making a complaint. However, today, the same situation happened again. When I placed my order, he once again gave me an unpleasant look and made a comment to another employee directly in front of me. I found this behavior extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I want to make one thing absolutely clear: I am not asking for charity, nor am I asking anyone to give me anything for free. I am a paying customer, and I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. The item I requested is listed on the menu, and I am willing to pay the additional charge for the bacon. I am simply asking to purchase the food I want and pay for it, just like any other customer. What I find particularly offensive is that every time I place this order, the cashier looks at me with disapproval and makes comments to another employee right in front of me, as though I am doing something wrong by asking for an item that is on the menu. This behavior is unacceptable and makes me feel unwelcome as a customer. Being busy is not an excuse to treat customers disrespectfully. If an item cannot be prepared or an additional ingredient is unavailable, that can be communicated politely and professionally. There is absolutely no need for unpleasant looks, inappropriate comments, or behavior that makes a paying customer feel uncomfortable. I have given this establishment multiple opportunities, but after three experiences like this with the same employee, I am extremely disappointed. Customers should be able to place an order from the menu without being made to feel uncomfortable or disrespected. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses this matter appropriately. Every customer deserves respectful treatment, and no one should leave a business feeling humiliated simply for ordering food and being willing to pay for it. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

There are some good hole-in-the-wall pizza joints and some GREAT hole-in-the-wall pizza joints…read more This place fell into the "great" category and was actually one of the few times where I did NOT look at Yelp's reviews of a business prior to coming here. And this is none other than "Tom's Delicious Pizza". Located directly on Summit Ave (and tucked in between 17th St/18th St) in the heart of Union City, NJ, this small pizza business has been dishing out mouth watering pizza (by the whole pie or the slice) dating back to 1998 (according to their website). Best of all, they have very generous hours of operation being open Monday-Saturday from 11am-10pm and Sunday from 12-10pm. I came here during the evening of Monday 10/13/2025 at around 6pm. Since it was a cool, windy autumn day, I wanted to find something in close proximity to my Airbnb. This part of Union City is fairly easy to get to (foot, car, transit, etc.) and doesn't get too busy. However, the inside is very small with only a few seats to enjoy your pizza. Their menu is quite extensive for being such a small place. They carry traditional and unique pizzas (in various sizes) as well as wings, fries, tenders, mozzarella sticks, hot dogs, burgers, pasta, and even seafood! However, my lady and I were just craving a piping hot pizza (by the slice) and this place absolutely satisfied our cravings! The guys that worked behind the counter were great as I ordered a slice of their "Chicken & Bacon" while my lady went with a slice of "Pepperoni". Prices here are very reasonable as my slice was only $4 while hers was $3. Once our slices were ready, we proceed to sit down, add our mozzarella & Italian seasoning, and were ready to indulge. I have got to say that this place is legit amazing. Some people say that this best pizza is in NYC but New Jersey is also up there at the top. The slices here are a traditional thin while they did not skimp on the toppings. And the crust had that amazingly consistent texture; buttery, crispy, and absolutely heavenly. All in all, "Tom's Delicious Pizza" is not only delish but the service, prices, portion, selection, and nostalgia of this place made it feel as if I was in an old school neighborhood pizza parlor. And if you just happen to be in Union City, NJ (which is roughly a 15-minute drive to NYC), definitely give them a try. With that said and done, I am giving this small business a perfect five-star rating.
