This used to be my local pizza joint when I lived in Garfield but since I've been back in NJ I hadn't had a chance to grab a slice until today. The restaurant itself is spacious and sparkling clean with lots of seating and a nice variety of pies to choose from at the counter. I saw they had a 2 Slice + Small Drink deal for $5.95 so that's what I went with. The slices were just like I remembered them which was GREAT! Perfect cheese / sauce balance and a nice firm yet not crispy under carriage. The staff were also pleasant to myself and everyone else who came in. Their Grandma pizza caught my eye so when we needed a quick lunch, we decided to call ahead to order for pick-up on Labor Day at around 1. We ordered the Grandma pie (plum tomato, garlic, basil & mozzarella. We did half regular, and half drunken, which is vodka sauce, and added pepperoni to the whole pie. I appreciated that toppings for the whole pie were only $2-$3. Something unheard of in this economy! I liked the regular half better than the drunken half because it was more garlicky. Overall, the crust was a little too thick for me. I probably wouldn't get the Grandma again, just because it was so heavy. But, the ingredients tasted fresh so I wouldn't mind trying some of their other specialty regular pies. read more

I really do try to support small business, but some of them just dropped the ball and this is one. OK, first it started with the fact that I was trying to order food with my credit card and the girl kept saying that my card was declined, but I knew she was putting in an incorrect number because the credit card had plenty of money on it and I was getting aggravated, but I was just like you know what let me just calm down and use a different card. I was told that the food would be there in 45 minutes which I will give them. It did arrive then it just was not good. The salad we ordered had strawberry feta cheese and mandarin oranges. The mandarin oranges were definitely from a can, and the feta cheese was chopped up into these weird blocks, almost like they went into the grocery store and said what's the cheapest cheese we can get we also asked for balsamic vinaigrette they sent us balsamic vinegar. we move onto our appetizer roll. We are vegetarians and I was eating a small piece of the eggplant Rollatini I just knew something wasn't right so I started to look through it on my plate and found huge prosciutto or some sort of ham. How does that even happen? Did they just mix all the ricotta cheese altogether in the morning and then slap it onto whatever was there? I was disgusted at this point, but I tried to eat a piece of pizza. It was OK, but definitely not cooked well and very soggy. One of my family members the cauliflower pizza and she had to basically cook it in the oven once it arrived because it was pretty much raw. In New Jersey, we have so many great pizza places in Italian places. It's a shame that people just drop the ball and only care about what they're getting paid. Brother's is a pizzeria restaurant located in a strip mall in the saddle brook Walmart shopping center. Brother's was formerly Frank's for many years and has kept basically the same menu as Frank's. They offer a full menu of pastas, chicken, veal and seafood dishes and of course, pizza. The dinners are very good and come with soup or salad. The pizza is good as well. They were close to closing time and still took my order and were friendly greeting me and checking me out. When I arrived home my order was still fresh and warm and very tasty. Idk. Just not a good pizza really. Very very thick crust. Something was just off about the flavor of the thing. Really wanted to like it but it just wasn't good. You're (not so) far from home.  One of your kids is partaking in an all-day lacrosse tournament and you've lost the first three matches. Famished and defeated, you hop on Yelp whispering a silent prayer, "C'mon, Yelp.  You've never let us down before.  We need something close by that's good.  We need nourishment." And within walking distance... you find Brother's. There's just something divine about their crust.  And it's not so much the 'cornicione' (where my pizza nerds at?!) but specifically that cornmeal bottom that has this incredible texture and crunch when you're taking a bite.  (They'd make a mint selling their secret to the countless subpar pizzerias out there that can't make such a good pie/crust.) We went with the white-broccoli, as well as their plain and a slice with mushrooms (not those bland, generic, wimpy 'from a can' button ones, either) and one slice was better than the next. Giddy that we stumbled upon this unassuming joint in the middle of a strip mall that knocked it out of the park and refueled with a pep once again in our step - we ventured back to the field for the fourth and final match of the day. I asked first if they know how to make a real italian style hot dog and they replied yes of course I ordered 3 singe dogs no mustard no ketchup and the looked puzzled I was charged 34 dollars and recieved the worst interpretation of an italian style hot dog. I had the most amazing pizza last night! Been in the area for 40+ years, tried Ness, Turvino's and many others, but here's the difference on the plain pie. Just enough crispness in the dough (not soggy), just enough sauce and just enough cheese. The pie was also very visually appealing (on every slice ) I couldn't even add any suggestion to make it any better than it was. This is my future go to pizza place from now on - without a doubt. I ordered online from Brother's Pizza on a weekday evening for delivery. The delivery was super quick and definitely no issues with the order at all. I absolutely love Grandma's Pizza, and theirs is definitely really good. It is more of the thick crust variety and you can definitely get full from just one slice alone. We ended up freezing a big chunk of this pizza and eating it later throughout the week! But it definitely lasted for a long time. The tomatoes and the marinara sauce are super fresh and the crust is very crispy. We also got some garlic knots and fries, you know, just to keep things healthy. I think I definitely could drink their marinara dipping sauce that came with the garlic knots. What a great find in Saddle Brook for a quick bite! I stopped in for lunch today and the food was fantastic. They have a "Chicken Parm Empanada", which is basically a calzone but the dough was lighter, crispy, and no loads of ricotta that you would find in a typical calzone. It tasted crazy good! The Chicken Bacon Ranch slice was very flavorful and not overloaded with ranch. Kelly brought my slice and empanada to the table and asked if I needed anything. She was kind enough to bring me an extra side of sauce, above what I expected from a typical pizzeria. Overall, great experience both food and service! Meh....I mean, the slices are huge! But c'mon. We got half eggplant/half olive, onion, and mushroom pie. The eggplant slices are HUGE. Just visually unappealing. The taste was fine though, nothing special. I think the ultimate deal breaker though was the wings. First of all, there was no hole cut in the plastic lid to release the steam and prevent the chicken from getting soggy. So of course, since there was SO much breading they were really soggy, and it was so thick that it was difficult to find the chicken. When I did bite in, my wing was undercooked. I work in the mall nearby and wanted to treat my store to a holiday meal. I normally don't expect much ordering out, and especially when i am not familiar with the place whatsoever. This place has me soooo impressed. I am Italian and will tear apart pizzas and subs. They go since and beyond for their customers and their food really is immaculately made.
