Look no further if you're in search for a meal preparation company that is affordable, nutritious,…read moreand offers high quality ingredients. Consistency is one of the biggest key factors that can make or break a business and NJ Gourmet does not disappoint! I have been ordering weekly meals and picking them up every Sunday since 2022. My orders have always been accurate and fulfilled on time. What sets them apart from other meal prep companies is that they actually prepare and cook everything in-house. They don't order bulk items of frozen vegetables or anything of the sort. They even make their own sauces and dressings. They put a lot of love into their food and you can tell within the first few bites. They have a large selection of meals and bulk items to choose from and are always experimenting with new items to add to the menu. They have poultry, beef, seafood, vegetarian, low carb, etc. I've tried nearly everything and they are all fresh and packed with flavors/seasonings! Some of my favorites are the Turkey Breakfast Burrito, Teriyaki Steak, Chicken Parm, and Carnitas Fajita. Each meal is well-balanced and labeled with macros and calories for those who are health conscious. If you're on your fitness journey, this is a perfect option to help you keep your nutrition on track. The process for ordering is simple. You go on their website and choose your food. You have the option of pickup or delivery (select days and times depending on your location). If you choose to pick up, they're located in Fair Lawn on Broadway. Myke (the owner) and his staff are passionate about serving food that is healthy, delicious, and caters to multiple people. They really care about their customers and it shows. P.S. They offer catering. P.P.S. If you miss the order deadline and if you're lucky, they have grab-and-go meals available for purchase in store for whatever hasn't sold out for the week. Order neeeeeeeeoooooow!

Being a…read morefirst-timer here, I ordered my usual litmus test dishes of chicken tikka masala and saag paneer (the classics), along with goat kolhapuri, butter chicken, and accompaniments of garlic naan and mango lassi. The chicken lollipop appetizer arrived looking the part - hot, crispy, and slightly zesty - but unfortunately didn't deliver on its visual promise. The dough was too thick and the meat rather rubbery, so the execution wasn't up to par. The mains, however, were redeeming. The gravy in the chicken tikka masala was delectable, and we enjoyed this as well as the kholapuri (which we asked for "extra spicy" but was just medium spicy to me - I'm sure others would disagree lol). My child loved his butter chicken. Both dishes featured substantial chunks of chicken. The saag paneer deserves to be mentioned for having a rough-chopped texture that I prefer, looking like actual spinach and not the zealously over-puréed green smoothie so many Indian restaurants inexplicably trot out. A touch over-salted, but otherwise tasty, and with an abundance of paneer. The lassi and garlic naan were both great. Portions are generous, and it's BYOB. Should you forget to bring something inebriating, a liquor shop is conveniently located just a couple of doors down. Owner/manager Austin is so welcoming and personable, earning this place extra hospitality points. I appreciate a business operator who is attentive to customers and shows genuine interest and concern. It makes a difference.

The food is still great comfort food and the diner classics are still there. It's not the biggest menu but it does have a wider range than others in the area with probably one of the better all day breakfast menus. It feels like it needs a bit of an update inside and seats/tables some refreshing. Service is not consistent- some days it's excellent and friendly and kind; while other days, my little 7-year nephew wondered where anyone was with his water.

Unfortunately for Batman fans, that's not where New York's famous "Gotham" nickname was established. The name was popularized by the writer Washington Irving in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Located off of Broadway in Fair Lawn, we have returned to Gotham City Diner after 4 years for brunch today. Upon entering, my partner and I got a booth by the window with high ceilings, decorated by various NYC subway signs where I recognized having spent years of my life, and huge, nice artwork on the wall. Their menu featured two sides that have a LOT of options without being overwhelming, ranging from breakfast to dinner for everyone. We decided on the 2 Eggs Scrambled with Corned Beef Hash and Short Rib Benny (Eggs Benedict). The food was amazing, with fresh ingredients and tastefully delicious. The portions were generous and the price reasonable. Our service was prompt and friendly; our server was Susana. The gentleman behind the register is always kind and professional. We made small talk about the huge painting on the wall that depicts 3 different places in New Jersey. We continue to recommend.
