We first had the pleasure of trying Oakberry in Mexico City and were impressed at how consistent and attentive staff were to his dietary restrictions. I love that there's a location that is family friendly and close to one of MKE's best parks and playgrounds (Southshore). I have been here a few times now and tried different bowls and smoothies- my top favorites include the protein bowl and the choco craze smoothie! I also love how you can customize and add in different ingredients, such as fruits, nut butters, or protein powder to make it your own. The food menu is fairly limited, but I will say that the avocado toast and bagel with cream cheese both hit the spot. They also serve coffee/tea drinks which I have yet to try, and have a variety of other items to look over in the shop. Every time I have stopped by the staff has been friendly and efficient in serving customers. Definitely recommend trying out Karma if you are in the Bayview area and are looking for some nutritious food/beverage options! (Yes this is coming from a Dietitian;) )

I wasn't sure how well pineapple would pair with peanut butter, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Pineapple is such a nice addition to the traditional peanut butter and banana combo. My only gripe is the price point. $10 for a smoothie bowl and $8 for a smoothie seems a little steep. But then again, you're paying for healthy, yummy, high quality food.
