This location does not represent what this chain is really about. This location is closer to me so I tried it out. It has no authenticity. Customer service is horrible. No one smiles, they make you feel rushed and the music is so loud you cant even tell if they heard your order. The variety is nothing compared to other locations. Not sure where they get their product from. The cookies and cream ice cream was pure vanilla. I asked another employee if it was cookies n cream and she looked at it and was confused as well. She was nice enough to add crushed Oreos to it. The Agua de Fresca was warm, not chilled, not even ice in my cup. I didn't want to order anything else because nothing looked like the other locations. Remind me to never patronize this store again! So put off by waiting forever for someone to help me and my son. There was one person in front of us being helped. There was an employee helping him and another employee restocking popsicles. We waited by the sign that says "line starts here". Clearly we're looking at them waiting to be waited on. Am I just standing here for my effing health??! Like ooh look, I have money and would like to spend it! Not a care in the world from the employees. After the man in front of me pays and takes his food, the employee goes back to doing whatever he was doing. No acknowledgment at all!!! I don't know if they're just clueless or what. This incident happened about 2 months ago on April 5, 2021. Sure they have many delicious flavors to choose from and yummy snacks, but I ordered the reeses puff ice cream and found a huge piece of plastic in my ice cream. It was the size of a penny, I chipped my tooth when I bit down on it because I thought it was a reeses puff chunk, and it was hard. Not to mention I could have choked on this. I called to let them know what I had found in my ice cream as soon as it happened, and no one picked up. I called several times and no one answered. They also never returned my call. What if a small child had gotten my cup instead of me and choked to death from this. I emailed the company about it and to sum it up they told me they can't prove it really happened because I didn't return back in store when it happened, even though I have pictures and receipts from this to prove it. Watch what you order from this place, your child or toddler could be next. Also, some of the workers aren't very sanitary. One of the workers had her shirt tied up in a crop top with low rise jeans so her stomach was just hanging out all over the counter, and leaning over the ice cream. Don't get me wrong, it's a great place. The problem is really the staff! It seems like they take forever to attend people and take their sweet time! I mean some people are just very picky and don't know what they want, but majority of time the staff seems like they just don't care and don't want to be there. If that gets fixed it will be a great location . It is In a great spot and vconvenient and has a big selection of items. If the staff cares just a bit more, they would get lots of business. read more

Exited the movies and dropped by La Michoacana for a little ice cream. Walked in and almost slipped on a wet floor. They were mopping but hadn't posted any warning signs. I apologized to the lady behind the counter for stepping on their mopped floor but she just stared at me and asked me what I wanted. I couldn't walk over to where the ice cream was because the employee continued mopping that area. I asked if she had a menu or something that we can choose from. She pointed to the paletas and said that she basically had the same flavors in ice cream form. After looking at our choices the hubby and I decided on a scoop of pistachio each. After paying our $6 for the 2 scoops, I asked for a small cup of water because it usually makes me thirsty half way through. The lady behind the counter said they "didn't have any water but I could buy a bottle for $2. Really? Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, Starbucks, they've always given a small cup of water when asked for, costs them a penny or two. Whatever ‍. Had a hard time scooping it on the spoon because it was so gooey. Two bites in to this sticky, overly sweet goop and we we were throwing our ice cream in the trash. It just tasted like food that's been in the fridge too long. The pistachios (and I didn't see many) were soggy with a tinge of bitter. Sad. Why not invest in quality ingredients? Sigh. If you're not familiar with the menus don't come, the employees have no interest in helping. Looks cool and fancy but nothing more than that. went for snowopolis, but they aren't there anymore. we decided to give it a try. we had a cookies and cream crazy shake. it had a popsicle stuck in the shake after it was all made. cool. we had a strawberry raspado & coconut/walnut raspado. these are kinda like icee's or snowcones. they lasted all day. my little one got bubble gum ice cream, loved it. they have some wild flavors of ice cream i would like to try and some that don't sound too appetizing (like tuna). we'll see. the pike area has lots to do around there so we will probably be back soon. only downside it was hot asf in there. i think if they got some a.c. people might be a little more relaxed in there. read more

The worst ever showed 12 minutes before closing... there were 8 people inside ordering what ever they wanted . When me and my daughter arrived at the door there was a lady standing there with keys guarding the door .. she first says we're closed and no longer taking people .. Don't waste your Time, this is the worse I went and spent a lot of money for me and my family and first of all they had stuff on the menu that they didn't have, The nacho cheese was disgusting and soggy, my son was really thirsty so he wanted a cup of water which I seen someone with a cup of water earlier but all of a sudden they didn't have any cups there's so many people working there without not enough items and as we were leaving out the hand sanitizer didn't work, they offered a kids menu but they didn't have a kids menu, overall my experience was horrible my son went to the window to ask for something and he kept looking over him and helping other people I will never return to this location the one in San Pedro is 1000 times better don't waste your money don't waste your time. Oh and I asked to speak to a manager and they said they didn't have a manager so what type of franchise is having a restaurant without a manager and then the lady who look like a manager that on a black shirt was on her cell phone the whole time so what type of customer service is this. Customer service needs work. We went in yesterday night . When we entered there was 3 girls working there. When we first walked in there was a crowd of people . They help customers just walking in while you've been waiting in line longer. We waited about 5 minutes and decided to walk out and wait for the crowd to clear as the workers clearly have a hard time with helping whoever was next. When everyone left we decided to walk back in. We were the only people in there when we walked back in. We stood in line waiting for one of them to help us. One girl looked like she was working on someone else's order , one saw us but went into the back section and the other one was sweeping. They all saw us standing in line.. We waiting for the girl to stop sweeping which took her about 3 minutes. When she was done she started putting the broom and dust pan away all slow. Mind you we are still waiting to be helped. As she is hanging the broom and dustpan a group of guys walks in. She comes over and she asked them what they want. At that point we proceed to tell her that we were next . She ignored us and continued to help the group that had just walked in. We had to wait another 5 minutes to be helped. The girl who had gone to the back came back and took our orders. I tried checking for name tags , but saw none on them. The girl who was sweeping and did not help us was the girl with glasses. We were in at about 8 pm on Sept 17 2021. Both my small daughters also asked why she didn't help us when we were next. This michoacana needs better customer service , if they can't provide that , they need a better system instead of placing stickers all over the floor. read more
