The customer service is horrible. I'm Mexican, but it feels like they'll only help you if you speak Spanish. If you speak English, they'll give you attitude the whole time and won't want to help you. I have been here several times, but I would come more frequently if the customer service was better. The very first time I came here I was so upset that I walked out after waiting in line for 30 minutes just to be completely ignored. I had high hopes of ordering a bunch of ice cream but in the end they ignored me and served the people in front of me and then behind me as I continued to wait. Maybe it's because I am a white girl but even when I tried to say hello? A few times they acted like they didn't hear me so I walked out. Waited about 40 minutes in total just to be ignored. The next time I went there it was not as bad. Still waited a long time and there was only 1 person ahead of me. Third time there was a great girl working there who was helpful and quick and friendly. They need more like her! The last two times were much better maybe because there wasn't a line. I spent nearly $100 on the ice cream last time I was there. When you're treated good you want to support the business, you know? If they had better customer service this place would be very very successful because overall their product is good. But they hire people who don't seem to care about the job or the customers. At least smile and seem like you like your job! If you look miserable you're going to make your customers feel miserable. Employees are new, so they seem a little overwhelmed and disorganized, because they ignore me as I stood in line, and skipped onto the next person behind me. The store is large and there are plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside near the grocery store. The ice cream was fresh, but pricy for Santa Paula. I hope they do well in SP, because I rather drive 10 mins to get my paletas, then 30 mins into Oxnard/ Vta. read more

La Michoacana ice cream parlor is one of my favorite places. We usually buy paletas to go. We've bought gansito, ferrero, mazapan, cappucino, limon, and mango. We have bought other things, too. As for the staff, its a hit or miss. The youngest female employees typically are rude. The rest are fairly nice. Overall, I recommend this place. I would definitely go back. read more

Paletas and Ice Cream are all delicious. Fruit seems to be hit or miss sometimes on ripeness. I understand their is fruit seasons but sometimes some of it was a tab bit early to serve. Esquites are just ok. I don't know if it's the corn they use or the method they cook it. It has an odd consistency and has a stickiness to it. It's not bad but it could be better as it makes it a bit too sweet. Buuut the convenience beats having to drive around looking for the corn man. read more

I was here yesterday and the experience was so far the worst I've had at one of these, products are great but seems like they always hire snobby employees. The girl that was suppose to make my order completely skipped me and took on five different customers behind me. I eventually went and asked a different girl and she gladly helped and even remembered that the other girl was suppose to make my order. The girl apologized three times for her coworkers behavior. La Michoacana in my opinion is one of the greatest things that's happened in this place since the day I moved here at Santa Paula. I thank whoever had the idea to build one because I would go to La Michoacana in my hometown and that would take an hour, now I don't have to go all the way over there; it's just around the corner. Well forget about that, the ice creams are really creamy and delicious. They have all sorts of flavors which is my favorite part because I never knew you could make ice cream cheesecake ( which is so bomb btw) other than ice cream they have esquites and they add crushed up hot Cheetos on top! So i just came in here and wow they need more workers. On a Saturday and only two workers ??! They both looked overwhelmed and exhausted. Not only that but it was super busy so I had to wait forever to get my order taken. Once I reached the front of the line both workers were very kind and I got my order and it was pretty good but I just feel bad for the poor workers who had the line out the door and only the two of them.
