Such a yummy ice cream shop that even have creamy vegan options! The staff were friendly and efficient! Great vibes and lots of flavors to choose from!
Wanted something sweet after watching a movie. The Workers were very welcoming when we first walked in and were patient with us. They allow us to try different flavors while we decided on the ones we wanted. You could even choose two flavor per scoop with an extra charge if you want to try different flavors. I got a Dubai which tasted like a chocolate bar and the matcha with strawberry which tasted fresh. It was delicious and it's a perfect treat to have after watching a movie.
Despite being in The Collection for many years, I've only recently started visiting Afters. And I'm not sure why I've waited for so long, but their ice cream is delish! Love that they have such a wide variety of ice creams. Recently they've had a Dubai chocolate ice cream that hits all the great flavors of the chocolate bar, including that great crunchy texture. They also have a great ube ice cream that hits that sweet yam so well. Since it's at The Collection, it's perfect to grab and walk around or to sit and enjoy. We love to grab it and then sit outside when the weather is nice. Great stop for a sweet treat!
Spoiled by mi amiga ... prima del alma .. Laye Laye! I always pass this place as I m always at The Collection. My ice cream was delicious . I got the cereal flavor with cinnamon crunch ! Delicious. Service was good and spot is kept clean . There's a few fairs to sit and there's plenty of seating around The Annex or anywhere The Collection.
Love that this place is open pretty late. They have such a variety of flavors. I opted for Vietnamese Coffee which was delicious. They only accept card. There is ample seating in the Annex or around the Collection to enjoy dessert.
GETTING HERE: Afters Ice Cream is located in The Annex at The Collection at Riverpark in Oxnard. FYI, You can also enter from the sidewalk area outside in addition to entering from inside The Annex. REVIEW: Maybe I'm old, but back in the day the combo was a movie and ice cream afterwards! And, here we are in 2024 and this can be a thing again. :) This was a good time, if you're craving something sweet and cold. Overall, it was good, sweet, and a pleasant customer experience as service was pretty good, too. Evidently, I'm late to the game with Afters, but since it was a good time had by all, I will be back the next time I am out and about at The Collection. I do recommend them. Hope you enjoy as I did!
Tasted good. Quick service and they allow you to try out the flavors which is helpful in making your final decisions. Ambiance was ok, expect it to busy but enough indoor seating if you decide to stay in the small restaurant, eat elsewhere in the annex or eat your ice cream on the go. Will comeback for the other flavors.
After ramen, I felt like having something sweet. I love Ube anything so when I saw they had Ube Brownie ice cream, I knew I had to try it. They offer a lot of really unique flavors which reminds me of Ampersand's ice creamery from the Central Valley. Ube brownie did not disappoint. I'm not sure why but my first 2 bites of it tasted like butter popcorn. It was strange but once I got a bite of brownie that taste went away. It was delicious!
When at The Collection & having an ice cream craving, Afters satisfies my sweet tooth. Fam loves to come here for dessert whenever we have dinner somewhere in the Collection. There's some interesting ice cream flavors here, not to mention how colorful they look. It's attached to The Annex Food Hall. So it's convenient if you're nearby & closes at 11pm except on Sunday. They offer pints... And since when have they offered Milkshakes?! Lol... They even offer ice cream cake too. A bit pricey, but looks delicious. They even have something new for your Fur Babies, New Dog Treats! Might be pricey for some people, but where else can you find Cookie Monster Ice Cream or Ube Brownie Ice Cream at an ice cream shop in the 805? The First time I tried Afters, was in Fountain Valley. That location was also where I had my first Milky Bun. Other locations are in the LA area... So I'm glad we have an Afters in Ventura County.
The ice cream is good. I can't say it is the best one I have ever tried, but for the price it is worth it. For 7$ you can get a small cone and it has 3.5 scoops of ice cream. I am honestly never saw small ice cream portions to be sooo big, i got so full i couldn't finish it. It is good price compare to most ice cream place where for 5 $ you get one small scoop. I got strawberry cheesecake flavor and my boyfriend got the sorbet. It taste good, but nothing special. Service is pleasant. Ambiance is average. It has like 10 sits around or you can cross the road to collection and walk there too. I am not sure if I go back, just because I hate to throw away food, but there is no way I can eat so much ice cream at once.
Super delicious (California local?) spot for some ice cream! Almost tastes like gelato, and they have delicious and unique flavors! I opted for the mint monster and Cookie Monster.
Delicious ice cream with great flavors! We love that they're open late, it's a great spot for a late night sweet treat. It can get really busy and the line can be long, but customer service usually keeps things moving pretty fast. If the manager is reading this, AJ was awesome every time we've been. Very friendly, welcoming, and handled big rushes quickly while still being kind. It is a bit pricey, but being in The Collection and offering more unique flavors makes it worth it. Everything we've tried has been good, especially Cookie Monster, a family favorite for us. Would love to see more fruit or sherbet options too for those who prefer non cream based flavors. read more
Afters Ice Cream is one of my top favorite SoCal ice cream destinations, and it has been for years! When I was in SoCal again a few weeks ago, I ended up visiting the large outdoor mall in Oxnard, which of course attracts all of the high end shops, restaurants, and cafes. I was so excited to find Afters, and treated myself to a nice, cool treat. It is always a challenge to pick a flavor, but I went for the Strawberry Cookie Crunch topped with cubed, chewy mochi. The small scoop felt heftly, but I appreciated all the ice cream I got! read more

My current obsession: Ube Brownie ice cream from Afters Ice Cream. Will cost you $7.50 for 2 good sized scoops in a cup. I tried the Milk with Sugar Cookie flavor too. I don't think there is a bad flavor here, as I want to try them all! Line was 5-6 persons deep, when my niece and I arrived. Service did the best they could. Looking for a sweet treat?! Look no further, Afters ice cream is now selling their version of the famous " DUBAI CHOCOLATE BAR" except in ice cream form!! As we were passing by the Annex at the collection, I wanted to check out the new flavors that they had and low and behold they had this flavor! The line was out the door, but it was definitely worth the wait! The Annex itself has a great vibe if you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat in the area. read more

Very clean. Good customer service. I liked the Thai coffee, and LOVED the Mocha Mafia. Would've gotten it on a cone, but needed to drive out of town and didn't want nightmare scenarios to occur on the road. Both of my kids enjoyed the mint chocolate cookie dough in both forms, blended and scooped. read more

Stopped by after the tree lighting to treat the kids and it was expected to be packed. With 2 behind the counter, they did an awesome job keeping the line moving and everyone satisfied. Great teamwork! We sampled a few from our group and really enjoyed ube brownie between my sister and I. Kids loved their Cookie Monster plus milk and sugar cookie flavors. Will def be back because of their unique and rich flavors of Location is conveniently placed in The Annex with 2 entrances &/or exits. Def will be back with family again read more

In summary: Is this place tasty? Immediately yes. Is this place cheap? No. Are the vibes good? Yes! If you want to read the longer version here you are. I was looking for ice cream after dinner and saw this place was closeby. I hadn't ver been so decided to come in. This ice cream is the real deal and they have several different crazy flavors. Milk and cereal? Yum. I chose to get the cookie monster and the cookie butter (I think I know I got two cookie flavors). Both were really good and the serving sizes are huge. They do not hold back. The person behind the counter was friendly and I saw them giving samples to other people. I'm just crazy and ordered two flavors I hadn't tried and hoped for the best. The line was about 5 people but it moved quickly. People will complain about cost, but the ice cream is good and it's really no more expensive than somewhere like coldstone. I also love the vibes that keep it lighthearted and fun. It's ice cream after all, why would you need to keep it serious. Anyway in all, no complaints and I will be back. read more

Ube brownie is my all time favorite ice cream!! As a Filipino I can say the ube is delicious, but definitely sweeter than traditional Filipino ice cream. I've been to different Afters locations and this one is just as good as the others. The service was quick and shout out to TJ for working a long line by himself on NYE. He was efficient and friendly! There isn't much seating inside as they have a merch area, but it's a great place to stop and take your ice cream to-go and walk around the collections. read more

We stopped here for a sweet treat and 1st thing I noticed were the awesome posters on the wall and the "anti-diet diet club" theme which i loved. The whole family got ice cream cups but i decided to try their ice cream bars. Yum! In love! I got the milk & cereal bar which had the right amount of sweetness. The flavor was on point and what i loved most was the thick layer of chocolate covering the bar. Usually ice cream bars that are covered crack so easily but this layer was thick and the ice cream had a great consistency. So good! read more

Wow!! Just stopped in here last night. After waiting a grueling amount of time for teenagers to sample every flavor (hey, maybe they are onto something?). We finally ordered up! I just got one scoop to share with my bf and you can surprisingly get 2 flavors for the one scoop! The Ube Brownie and Cookie Monster are amazing flavors. I love the actual brownies and cookies that they put inside. Really adds texture to the ice cream. The ice cream itself was creamy, sweet, and just straight up yum. Get yourself some afters after a meal. You won't regret it! read more

I know many are going to hate me for this but I'm just not a huge fan of this chain just because everything always tastes so overly sweet and seems more of a hype than for its actual taste . But of course don't knock it before you try it yourself. The cookie butter was good but after a couple licks from my cone I couldn't finish it. Their vanilla is great though ! I was told the Cookie Monster (the blue one pictured ) was good and tasted like cookies n cream . read more

Got our delivery promptly. However, Disappointed! Was the portions of serving an expression of different opinions, mood from the ice cream makers?? Then, how do you explain to the less portioned receiver of his ice cream that they're just as special as the other with a handsome full cup? Great job, After's. I went for a scoop today with my boys and while I thought it was okay, not my favorite. Great customer service! They let me sample a non-dairy option before I made my selection. I usually like most non-dairy options, but it was awful. I opted for a scoop of the real thing and had vanilla with chocolate drizzle. For the price and taste I am not sure I would return. Cute trendy spot, but not my thing. read more
