The Tart tasted terrible today. Extremely watery. It was really busy today which is expected on a long weekend (President's Day). They didn't have many flavors and the flavors they did have were not the best. Not sure what happened but today was a miss. We don't have that many frozen yogurt options anymore so many have closed. Though this is not the best flavored froyo it is good and located conveniently. I like the tart vanilla and will mix with sugar free flavor if one is available. The toppings are quite good - with some really unique ones showing up occasionally. I like the brownie, the cool whip, and the various chocolate options like the turtle. Otherwise fairly standard. It's moderate price and reliable. When you have that craving for froyo but, more importantly, toppings this place is a satisfactory option. The staff have always been nice and seating clean. Because there aren't as many options here I am giving a 5 but would be a 4 if there were other ice cream options. I love froyo and I have been to this location about a dozen times. It's your standard serve yourself and pay by weight froyo place. The usually have a decent variety of toppings and it's never filthy inside. That's about where the compliments ends. They are always out of specific froyo flavors "for the day." It's also worth noting that they also tend to be "out" of certain toppings too, especially the later it is in the day. I went yesterday at 6:30 PM and they were out of both vanilla and classic tart. At first you might think "ah well it happens" or "there are supply chain shortages" because I did. I try to be understanding and graceful but this seems to be a chronic issue. When you ask the staff about it, they shrug it off. You get non-answers like "this what what we have tonight" or "we're out of that right now." If I go back the next day, guess what they suddenly have? It's giving: we don't care about our customers. It's giving: we don't want to offer the products we advertise. I am getting the impression that the staff doesn't want to make more, get our more toppings if they think they won't all be used, or just generally don't care about the customer's experience. It is honestly insane! I think I will be taking a break from this place for a while. Perhaps when they start to emphasize product availability and customer service, I'll return. If not, I'll be looking forward to whatever takes their place because they are doomed to go out of business if they continue like they have been. read more

I don't know if I want to put the young kid on blast, but will someone please tell me why Customer Service is a lost art? Why should I be surprised that you're friendly or welcoming me into your business? Why does texting or playing games on your phone take priority over the customer who is PAYING your salary? I don't get it. I walked in this evening to an empty Menchie's but for the young employee. He was so bored it was almost laughable to me! I asked him if he happened to know how many ounces in 1/2 cup (an innocent question!) and he leaned back. Shook his head and said, "No idea" and responded with his body language that I was insane to ask that. I moved on quickly because I knew it'd be a waste. I got my froyo but decided to hang out. He had his back to me, his entire body was turned so that he could block me from seeing what he was doing. But I saw the phone. I saw the charger. Right in front of him. The froyo was OK. The Cookie Dough toppings were OK. They were out of Reese's Peanut Butter cups. (?) While I guess I'm hit and miss on yogurt places, I'm continuously impressed with UYogurt in Ventura. Beware mixing too many things together. Other than the fact that sometimes their yogurts are on the verge of melting from the machine to your cup, I enjoy coming to Menchies for my frozen yogurt. They have an interesting selection of frozen yogurt flavors while maintaining the standard ones. I would say their selection of toppings are amazing. For such a small place I didn't expect to keep such a wide inventory of toppings but the have everything you might be looking for and more. One of my favorite toppings is the hard chocolate glaze that hardens on your yogurt. I'm not a fan of the marshmallow though. read more

Took our kiddos here for an after birthday treat and frozen yogurt is one of their favorites. This is a very clean and bright place in a huge shopping, eating, and movie open mall between Ventura and Northern Oxnard. Menchie's adds a 'better' desert place to the 'better' food eateries here. Good selection of flavors, but the standby vanilla seemed the best to me. The mango and chocolates were too sweet for my taste. Awesome selection of toppings, including good sized bobas and a lot of popular crushed candies like Snickers and Heath. Customer service is lacking, in fact, no one speaks to you except when you're ready to pay. The chalkboard on their wall is a great idea and was a very popular place for every kid who was there. read more

Have been wanting to try this location as it is located close to my house. The store was clean. There was plenty of mini cups on hand to try the flavors and there was a nice selection. The flavors I tried were Creme brûlée, toasted marshmallow. Dulce de leche, and vanilla snow. The one problem was that all the flavors that I wanted were low or empty. The machines were blinking and dispensing slowly. I didn't even get as much as I wanted. Oh well probably didn't need it anyway. Lol! read more

Menchies! It's difficult to compare this to all other frozen yogurt places. I've been to the Menchies out in Burbank for my first time & I wasn't very fond of it. One thing that stood out to me about this place were the original variety of flavors, toppings, & activities that can be done here. I never gave Menchies another chance until my nieces wanted frozen yogurt here. Just like every frozen yogurt place, SAMPLES! They have the dole flavor here! Oreo, Reese's pieces... all my favorite flavors! The toppings were a huge variety from fresh fruits to all sorts of candy & gummy ones. They sell Menchies gear, have a chalkboard on the side for kids to write on, & a fridge to save your pre packs for later. All in all, they label everything from allergens to calorie intake to what ingredients some contain. Very well informed yogurt place that promotes healthiness all in one. Service here can vary at several times. The workers are young & are there to charge you by the pound. Didn't encounter much with them but a simple hello & price of the cup. read more

It's cute like a typical Menchie's and has Menchie's merchandise for sale (pencils, jewelry, lip balm, cooler bags, apparel, dodge balls and plush Menchie dolls). You can also get free Menchie's stickers and temporary tattoos. The self-serve fro-yo and toppings are 42 cents an ounce. Fresh waffle bowls are $1. The toppings include warm syrups, candy, chilled fruit, mochi, cookies, chocolate chips, cookies, brownies, nuts, coconut, sprinkles, popping boba, etc. The sample cups are placed on a tray by the fro-yo machines. The Store located in a big shopping center in a good spot next to Starbucks and Whole food market. I went there around 1:30 pm, I was the only customer in the store (sweet) there are 8 Yogurt machines with 16 flavors too choose from. big selection of Toppings and Syrups. The Machines and topping area were very clean, the frozen yogurt was very good and tasty. since I had the whole store for myself I got an excellent service. CUSTOMER SERVICE is amazing!!! I absolutely love to come here with my two kids because, it's clean and pleasant. The area always has enough tables for large groups. This location is super busy so, having enough chairs inside and out is great! I love how they cater to kids here! They have a checkers game to the left and to the right a chalkboard wall with lots of cool things! The yogurt is GOOD! I love how they have so many flavors and let me tell you the machines are great! So the kids wanted to try this place out and ugh we were not impressed. I didn't have any frozen yogurt because they don't have a single nondairy vegan option! NONE!!! So they kids had some and they said it was ok but not the best. The toppings were good, plenty to choose from. Candy, cookies, fruits etc. The place is small but clean. They also offer samples if you want to try a flavor before buying it. The employees are not friendly and customer service is lacking! I thought the prices were a bit high, they weigh your cup and charge a flat price per oz, so if you choose to get just froyo or froyo with toppings you will pay the same price. We've been here twice and really starting to like the place to get frozen yogurt before or after a movie. They have a wide assortment of toppings and the yogurt is good. I'm a huge Menchies fan..at least the 2 in Santa Clarita. When I walked up to this location there was one table outside with no chairs. I had to peek in the window becuase I could not tell if they were open. One lone employee wearing camo shorts and some black T-shirt. Just different because the Menchies I frequent at least they wear Menchies t shirts. The place was not busy. The yogurt was as good as usual and toppings selection was decent. I guess it was change of shift as other employees were coming to work and joking around. This location might want to focus on customer service because the location in santa Clarita has amazing customer service and the business is booming. read more

When I got some yogurt for myself, I asked if I may also get a cup of ice for my dog that had just walked a mile with me to the store. I was told NO; that they just don't do that. Well, a month ago my husband and I got a cup of ice no problem when we bought two yogurts. Had I known that they'd changed their "policy," I would never have come into the store in the first place. Cons: Tables were sticky and we had to clean off; no calorie info for the toppings; toppings were fruit, candy, and sugar cereal, but no non-sweetened cereals or healthier toppings except peanuts and almonds; the pairings of yogurt flavors in the machines for swirly weren't always complementary but seemingly random and sometimes off-putting; no coffee flavored yogurts nor coffee offered to drink afterwards (went and got some at Whole Foods next door); the employee working the cash register spent most of the time in the back before and after we ordered. We could have walked off with a chair and she wouldn't have noticed. All in all, not terrible experience, but I've been to better frozen yogurt locations. read more

With lockdown lifted, the collection was packed today. It will be a few weeks until the restaurants hire and train people again. I assume that Menchies is short staffed like everyone. This Sunday, there was a line of several people and only one worker, Emma. She was polite and amazing and working harder than ever. A worker does the food selection for you as a food safety procedure. We gave her the order and she filled up our to-go cup with a smile in her voice as she was both masked and gloved. It's probably one of the best yogurt places to go if you're looking to get your pennies worth. Many toppings but sometimes they run out of the fresh ones or the toppings you like.
