I placed an online order through La Granja website. The order consisted of 4 chicken bowls. 3 of them with beans, corn, onion and rice. The 4th with only beans. When we got there all 4 were the same. For the last 20 minutes the chef, cashier and waitress were yelling us because they said that I placed my order wrong. I showed them our email receipt, which clearly showed I had ordered the bowls how we wanted. The cashiers refused to give us a refund saying because we ordered through the app it was impossible. They also refused to call a manager. The cashier then showed us our kitchen ticket who showed us we were right and they were still arguing! The waitress Susana then started yelling at me saying I was a gross person in front of the entire restaurant. I find this behavior absolutely appalling. After Susana called me gross the cashier was so embarrassed she finally decided to give me a refund. Do yourself a favor and go to 3 chefs down the road; the food is healthier and the chicken is speed fire burned.

I went to La Granja several years ago and remember paying at the register instead of having a waiter. Not sure why this was changed, but the service was pretty slow to put in our order and to get the check. I had the pollo saltado and the portion was huge but the flavor was okay. The seafood gumbo is also a large portion that my fiancée and i shared. I thought all of the seafood it brought was great, but the flavor pretty bland and almost nonexistent. Overall, a meh experience and not sure we will return

I came here a few times, and all of a sudden started charging a fixed $5.99 mandatory fee for TIP. I just do not understand what the fee is for. I have never paid a La Granja TIP mandatory fee for a server to pick up the plates and bring to me at a table. The server literally walked 5 feet from the serving station and dropped off our plates and walked another 5 feet and back to fill soda cups once. This is what we used to do with no charge. They ask you if you are dining in, and proceed to serve you at your table. I do not need a server to hold my hand as I walk 4 feet away to the soda machine. I feel this mandatory $6 charge was a way to trap us and get more money from our wallets. Also were missing cups for sauces, sauces, and the bathroom was a mess as well. La Granja is typically my favorite place, but to pay a $6 fee when the food was about $35, is not something I am happy with, especially since we spoke with the server just once.

Food is exactly what you expect from a franchise. However extremely slow. It is cooked while u wait for many items.

We really had never tried Ceviche before, but the online menu really looked spectacular. Our waitress was Angie, and she was fantastic. Such a great personality, and she went out of her way to explain all the details before we ordered. It's actually disappointing that we are just passing through and may never go back, because I would seriously like to try every last item. Rather than bore you with the list of everything we ordered, I'll share what we considered to be the best of the best. CALAMARI... we both love calamari, and we have eaten this dish at many different places. This was the best ever. Perfect. CEVICHE DE SALMON EN CANASTA DE TOSTON... seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. While we did order both the ceviche camaron and the ceviche trio mixto, the hands-down winner, no questions asked, was the CEVICHE DIVINO. We finished with the TORTA DE CHOCOLATE and the smoothest, creamiest cup of coffee ever. My wife is a chocolate cake expert, and while I was finishing all the ceviche, she was having an out of body experience with the cake. I have to say that while we are borderline foodies and love cooking and eating, we probably are not the most adventurous. So glad today was different, and so thrilled with our decision to eat here. 10/10

It's located in a very unassuming spot, tucked into a parking lot in a slightly industrial area, but don't let that fool you. Inside, you'll find something special. He took the time to explain the menu and recommend the best choices for both food and drinks, making the whole experience feel personal and effortless. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and combined with the authenticity of the food, it makes for a memorable visit. Definitely worth seeking out.

Upon arrival we noticed there was a dinning tent area set up outside which was empty more likely because of the heat as it was really hot out. We went inside and were greeted by a nice waitress and seated right away. Ambience was nice and dimmed lights. I appreciated the string lights and greenery decor. We ordered the Lomo Saltado which was a bit on the salty side for my taste but the jazmin rice was cooked to perfection. The Pescado a lo macho was ok. I had better. Ceviche was actually good not too tangy. Service was fast.

I rolled the dice and chose MAYU, a Peruvian restaurant located on the outskirts of Brickell. As soon as we walked into the restaurant the host was super welcoming. We got sat and immediately got greeted by our server ALEXANDER who happened to be a key element in our food experience. Many might overlook his presence as people are trying to look at the menu and figure out what they want to eat, but if you pay close attention the server, he will guide you to the best food experience you will ever encounter. Food we had in order: 1. Ceviche Classico 100/100 ( my husbands rating) 2. Ceviche del barrio 10/10 3. Acevichado roll 10/10 4. Hotate Parma without cream cheese 10/10 5. Pulpo anticuchero 10/10 (the octopus was so tender and delicious 6. Lomo saltado 10/10 ( amazing tender meat) must have !! Just as we were getting ready to leave we met Santiago, the manager and I asked him, "Why don't you have a Michelin star?!?!?" My mind was blown by how delicious and beautiful this food was. I wish them the best. This is truly a place to come and enjoy amazing Peruvian food. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. If you're a local here, DO NOT WALK PAST THIS ESTABLISHMENT. A special thanks to Alexander who made our experience amazing by explaining every dish and making us feel as if we were dining at his home. Would love a MAYU in LA.
