Half size chicken pot pie.
Betty D.

My husband took me here for my birthday and we both loved it. He had the special which was a ribeye with a glaze and I had the small pot pie. He said the ribeye was perfectly seasoned, perfectly prepared, very tender and delicious. I enjoyed my pot pie but will try something different next time. I think I've developed a slight aversion to certain herbs that routinely go into pot pies so that's on me. The presentation for both dishes was classy, We enjoyed a wonderful key lime pie for dessert which I would strongly recommend for key lime pie lovers. Our server, Michael, was kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave us prompt service. We both loved the ambiance... very romantic place in a historic building with lots of decorations and flowers. This is now our favorite romantic restaurant in Stuart.

I really enjoyed this place, beautiful inside and outside entrance reminded me of the movie The Secret Garden. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We went for dinner with reservations just in case. They have a nice bar and huge sitting area located in what used to be a Post Office Arcade. The building was very antique and had this smell that fit perfectly with the rest. You don't have to come overdressed (fancy). Food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the braised beef ribs based on Yelp reviews as a popular dish there, meat was so tender and full of flavor. I got to sample a few of my other listed dinners that my family ordered and it was good. The Chicken lacked a little flavor for me the noodles were overpowering the lemon sauce and would have requested more cheese to go with it. The appetizers delicious. Would definitely go back.

Oh my goodness, talk about a literal hidden gem! I'm pretty sure this place has been around for a while but it was only on my most recent hometown visit that I managed a visit. The entryway is just lovely and even a little easy to miss if you aren't looking. It feels like it's a semi-tropical French, if I had to name the aesthetic - love it! It seems like they keep pretty busy on a Sunday brunch schedule, but we luckily still got a table as a walk-in. They have a few mocktails on the menu, and they also prepare them with nice presentation, which is always so nice! For food, we split a few appetizers, including a flatbread and the avocado bruschetta. That one was my favorite by far! I can't wait for my next holiday hometown visit so I can come again!

The food was amazing, and the staff and manager were very welcoming. This is a beautiful historical setting restaurant with live entertainment. Our server Tommy was phenomenal and he made our experience very memorable with his attention and knowledge of the menu. Highly recommend this place, best shrimp and grits we ever had. Brunch service and bottomless mimosas were on point. We found our new favorite restaurant to celebrate special occasions.

Friends and I came La Grande Martier for brunch to celebrate some of their birthdays for the second year in a row. I've been here a few times now, but we had the absolute best waiter, Keith, who made this experience one of my favorites here! The place is cute and eclectic, at the end of a little alleyway in downtown Stuart, it doubles as a bar at night and restaurant during the day. To drink, I had the unlimited mimosas for $20. Out with the girls and having a ride to and from, I took full advantage of the opportunity to try all of the flavors: orange, strawberry, guava, pineapple, mango, blackberry, and peach! I didn't end up trying them all, but with the best waiter (Keith) who suggested some neat flavor ideas, I did get to try i(n order of favorite): blackberry, guava, guava peach, mango, peach mango, and strawberry pineapple. They were all yummy and they are all served in wine glasses (they are very generous sizes) so if you drink more than 2 it's definitely worth it. All other drinks were less than $10 so they must have some sort of happy hour brunch specials. For food, the sampler platter had a crab cake (very good and one of their signature dishes), croque monsieur (ham & cheese in a puff pastry), steak taco (a tad sweet), croquettes, and tomato bisque (thick and flavorful). All were pretty good, but are also ordered by most favorite to least. Several friends had the crab cake Benedict and loved it. That, along with the shrimp & grits are said to be the best brunch entrees, but I'm indecisive so the sampler platter is a great solution to that! All in all, it's a great place for brunch, especially if you plan to treat yourself to any brunch drinks.

Tuna, Crab Cakes and Colossal Shrimp!

Whenever I want to impress a crowd for a special occasion I know I can rely on La Grande Martier to take it to the next level. This was the 3rd business holiday dining event I have coordinated at this location and they never disappoint. The decor in the hearth room is cozy, classy and unlike any other setting in the area and it really shines during the holidays. We had a great local pianist playing in the background. The management and the chef were communicative and accommodating every step of the way. The wait staff were excellent. Guests were so impressed with the diversity of the menu items and many who had not been here before said they would be coming back to dine again.

Had an amazing time, food was great, drinks were fun, staff was phenomenal, and we were happily surprised to be there for the monthly ghost tour! The building is very unique and original Florida, and the bar in the front is such a vibe.

I stumbled upon this gem by doing a Yelp search for places to eat in downtown Stuart, and the photos drew me in. My mom and I had a late lunch here on Saturday. My mom (a local) had no idea about this restaurant and thought it was such a treat to try somewhere new. The walkway to the restaurant is charming. We had the kindest hostess who even provided us with a 10% off coupon for our first visit. We walked around the restaurant and saw it had 2 bars, someone playing amazing song covers on the piano, and fancy eclectic decor. Our server Keith was such a joy. He really helped us when ordering and service was delightful. I ordered the Martier Sampler and for only $22 the portions were large. The crab cake is a must order! You can also find it under the apps. My mom ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup and she raved about how fresh the bread was. We finished it off with the pecan crusted key lime pie and oh my is was to die for. It was a REAL key lime pie. We left so happy to discover this get restaurant and with bellies full! Also, the cocktails were strong and great. I highly recommend the French 75!

Only open Thursday through Sunday, and seemingly only a single seating - arrive between 6 and 7, 9pm close. Service was excellent, and dietary restrictions (vegetarian) were accommodated with advance notice. This would be a great spot for an anniversary dinner or other special occasion. Everything my family ordered was excellent, from the dense, moist loaf of walnut sourdough to the wahoo entree. Each entree is served on a thick wooden cutting board with an artful array of garnishes for maximal flavor and textures. My vegetarian board was "chefs choice" (you get what you get, no requests or options possible) and it was excellent! It basically had all the fun garnishes and veg components of the other entrees plus whole roasted sweet potato. It was so nice that the veggie board wasn't an afterthought - it had the same level of intention and detail as the regular menu items.

Inside, it becomes something far more special. It feels as though you're not just dining out, but being welcomed into a family gathering. The warmth is immediate, genuine, and rare. The staff treated us as if they had known us our whole lives, and even surprised us with a personalized menu crafted just for our occasion; a gesture that spoke volumes. We've dined at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, surrounded by lavish interiors and extravagant presentations. Yet none have captured the unique spirit we found here. 11 Maple Street offers something deeper: authenticity, heart, and a reminder of why we cook and why we gather around food in the first place. Each dish felt prepared with true soul, the kind of intention many chefs, including ourselves, forget in the pursuit of perfection and prestige. Last night, we found something we didn't realize we were missing until this experience brought it back to us. A genuinely unforgettable place. I'm beginning to tear up while I write this, because this treatment among strangers has become rare in this world, this place has truly touched my heart.

A Meal So Good Heaven Might Ask About It…read more Some dinners fill you up. Some dinners impress you. And then there are dinners like the one we had at Chef's Table in Stuart--the kind of meal that feels like it was designed by someone who understands that food is more than nourishment... it's memory. We went to celebrate my son's birthday, and before the first bite even arrived, the experience had already begun. The menus were printed with "Happy Birthday" and his name, a small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire evening. It felt personal, intentional--like the night had been prepared just for him. And then the food arrived. I ordered the Bolognese, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the kind of dish you quietly pause for after the first bite. Rich, layered, perfectly balanced--every strand of pasta coated in a sauce that tasted like it had been simmering since the Renaissance. Comforting but refined. Rustic but elegant. It was the sort of plate where conversation stops for a moment because everyone is too busy appreciating what's happening. Across the table, the beef Wellington was a masterpiece. Perfectly pink at the center, wrapped in golden pastry that shattered delicately with each cut, surrounded by a sauce so good it deserved its own applause. The entire meal felt like one of those rare experiences where craft, hospitality, and atmosphere align perfectly. The lighting, the pacing of the courses, the warmth of the service--it all made the night feel like something special was unfolding. If someone told me this would be my last meal on Earth, I wouldn't complain. In fact, I'd probably smile knowing that when I got to the gates, the angels might lean over and ask: "Wait... was it really as good as they say?" And I'd tell them the truth. Yes. It absolutely was. Thank you to the team at Chef's Table for giving my son a birthday dinner we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

On the first visit, we shared a corn salad, which was warm and delicious. We each got a half portion of pasta 1. cavatelli Cacio e Pepe was delightful. 2. Cordoncini w/ shrimp was tasty and inventive. We each ended with a dessert. My dining companion had a scoop of pistachio which she liked. The only less-than-stellar option was the tiramisu. Being from the northeast, I have had tiramisu more times than I can count at various Italian restaurants and this one just didn't do it for me. It felt like it was prepared at least a day in advance, and there was some sort of liquid at the bottom that made it un appealing. But, it did not stop me from wanting to return. I went back 6 days later for another wonderful meal!

Steakhouse Peter's…read moreis one of those places that has been on my radar for a while now, so we finally had the opportunity to give them a try. There are a lot of reviews out there as this place has been in business a long time. You have to be doing something right in my opinion and well, they are good and they are meh - depends on your expectations I suppose. The story goes that Peter used to work at Peter Lugers in NYC - the holy grail of US Steakhouses. Does working at the best steakhouse in the US qualify you in any way to run a steakhouse? Not sure. But there were definitely things at Peter's that were spot-on as compared to Lugers. The place is set off the beaten path in Jensen Beach. Sort of a tropical vibe looking building and the decor inside is somewhat dated and hard to describe - beachy / Ocktoberfest is maybe the best way to put it. The staff consisted of three ladies the night we were there (a Saturday) and like that Meatloaf song goes, two our of three ain't bad. Two were just super friendly and personable - the third one just looked miserable. They all hit our table at one point or another during the evening and #3 just was not there mentally. she wasn't rude or anything - just blah. We got started with a nice glass of wine - the wine list is decent - not overly pretentious and there is something there for every price point. The menu is steakhouse standard with a few German dishes tossed in there - fine by me. Those are very complimentary cuisines. We started off with the escargot and the "Peter's special salad". Escargot came out swimming in a garlic sauce on top of a flaky pastry - a new spin on an old classic and it had enough garlic to lower you blood pressure like 50 points - outstanding. Salad was large and was enough for the both of us to work with. I went with the Porterhouse for two (med-rare), with sauteed mushrooms and Peter's hash browns. Steak was cooked perfectly and presentation was wonderful. The Hash browns were also a hit but the sauteed mushrooms lacked any flavor- I expected something a lot more sauteed looking - deep, dark in color and these were just meh. The meat is the star here and these steaks definitely hit the mark in terms of flavor and tenderness. All in all a very good night out. Prices were steakhouse specific and they offer valet parking. The crowd is older and the one they they did not have was a free standing bar- that is sort of a missed opportunity in my opinion, and a massive crowd generator in steakhouses in the north. Definitely give it shot if looking or a really good steak - those are exceedingly hard to come by on the Treasure coast. Valet parking in their lot, or park in downtown Jensen and stroll over.

I'm so sad to write this review. The food use to be AMAZING. I'm not sure if they got new cooks or what, the food was bland, the service was horrible. This used to be our go to place for anniversary and birthday celebrations. We won't ever be back. The mushrooms had to have been from a can with a sprinkle of parsley. The Brussels were way over cooked with a sprinkle of bacon. When I called after dinner to talk to Peter, to inform him of our experience, the hostess told me they were too busy and to call back. Enjoy your current diners, as we'll never be back.

The inside is beautifully decorated, and the outdoor patio is perfect for soaking it all in. Just a heads up, definitely request a shaded table if you're going on a hot day and want to sit outside. Some seats are completely exposed with zero cover, and it seemed brutal for those sitting in the direct sun. The food was really good. I was expecting a bigger variety of fresh fish since they're a prime seafood spot right on the water, but what they did offer was solid and tasty. The shrimp dishes were especially delicious and hit the spot. My only reason for not providing a full 5 stars is the service. It wasn't rude or unfriendly at all, the staff were nice. But it was slow, like painfully slow at times. It took forever just for someone to come to the table and take our order, and then the food took a while to come out too. It wasn't extremely busy, so it felt like the servers and kitchen could have moved a little more efficiently. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and the location, though be aware they do add a service charge to the bill. Overall, despite the minor service hiccups, I would definitely recommend Kyle G's Prime Seafood for a great meal with an amazing oceanfront vibe.

Our waitress was amazing attentive and friendly throughout the night. We were a group of five, and everyone ordered something different. We started with drinks, and they were all well-made and on point. For appetizers, I ordered the raw oysters, which were great for my taste, the relish and cocktail sauce had the perfect spicy kick. We also tried the buffalo chicken wings and calamari; they were good, but pretty standard compared to other places. For dinner, I ordered the 14 oz steak. I prefer mine rare, but it came out medium, so the waitress had to send it back. One of my friends ordered the watermelon salad it looked amazing, and she said it tasted just as good. The shrimp cocktail was also a highlight, with fresh, jumbo shrimp. The offered me 3 more oysters while I was waiting for the steak to be cooked right. Overall, the food was great, but be prepared to pay. In my opinion, the place is overpriced you're really paying for the view. One downside was the noise level. It was loud enough that we had to ask the waitress to repeat herself several times. While we enjoy good food, we also like being able to have a conversation during dinner. Because of that, we ended up finishing our meal and moving to the bar area, where we found seating on the back deck. The view there once again made the experience more enjoyable. I'd consider trying other places in the same category before coming back here.
