We were recommended by our sons wrestling coach. Walking in there was a line. Its a buffet style restaurant. Everything looked great. We were a family of 7. We all had a plate. Also some extras like chicharrones, patelon, maduros, potato salad. I had the mofongo and the mondondo. The price we paid was very cheap considering that we are from NYC. The food is definitely home cooked. Everything was delicious. We would definitely recommend. Our server was very friendly.

a plate of rice, meat and a drink

The food is delicious! I had the stew chicken w yellow rice and gandules and maduro, fried fish to go and some chicharron which came with limes. The selection is large and a good amount to choose from. The line was hustling and bustling which means it is a popular spot to eat. There is plenty of seating. The food there for you to see and pick. Like a bodega or small to go restaurant in NY. The large passionfruit juice was delicious. No complaints the food hit the spot and was just what I needed. They had to go menus and a menu on a flat screen.

Waste of fucking money

Go to Rodriguez meat market for large plate for 7$ This was not worth 23$ at all! It's just. A plate full of fucking rice. I'm not coming back ever again! Good luck with finding good fucking food in Rhode Island

Sucks when a family business, doesn't have people that care about the business. In between the employees, some are good 80% not. The food was sub par Spanish food, ordered Morro rojo with pernil. The pernil was flavorless and rice was blah.

Have to say it's probably the cleanest and largest layout for this type of restaurant in the area. I just don't understand their system of ordering and how back asswards that whole process is. It's the slowest process. It's so excruciating to stand waiting in the line that never seems to move. Forget about going on a lunch break, you'll never have enough time to order and eat before your time runs out when you have to be back to work. I do have to say they do have the largest selection of prepared food ready to be served compared to the competition. The combo I ordered with the oxtail was good along with large mondongo cost me $25.00 Which seemed a little high. And I have to say the mondongo at Piti's is much better.

Yes yes yes! This Dominican spot is so good. The food is already prepared! I got their yellow rice (Moro) which was amazing. Queso frito (fried cheese) Dominican Salami, spaghetti, chicken, and all 3 different empanadas alongside with a morir soñando. I missed Dominican food so much and this spot fixed all my cravings!

All this and also had drinks for $31!!

Amazing food. Great mofongo and chicharron. Also would 100% recommend their croquettes with yucca and cheese.

Food and portions are good. Staff was friendly. I picked up an order and was greeted upon entering…read more They had plenty of hot food ready to be ordered. As I was waiting for my food to be packaged the kitchen staff was still filling the hot trays out front with more hot fresh food and it was already like 6pm. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy but I just pick up quick which is easy in and out. Can be a bit pricey but you get a good amount.

Take me back to Providence, Rhode Island. This restaurant just made its way to my Top 10 favorite…read morerestaurants and yes, I will travel 3000 miles for their food! We were hungry then found this place while we were looking for a place to eat. Totally unplanned, just wanted to get a bite to eat. This restaurant is located on Broad St (busy street) next to McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, and other places to eat. I'm so glad we walked into this establishment. My boyfriend and his younger brothers are Puerto Rican. They asked me if I've ever tried Mofongo. I've always wanted to try it, so I ordered the Mofongo with chicharron. Best decision ever. What it is, is mushed up plaintains mixed with Pernil (Puerto Rican slow roasted pork). Then topped off with chicharrones. It also came with a red sauce (not spicy) and a white sauce. It was so good: The ladies working there at the time were very friendly too. There is a bathroom inside for customers only and a lot of tables to sit. You just sit yourself. Can't wait to come back to Providence just for this restaurant. I'm hooked!

The restaurant itself was in a very busy and rough park of Cranston Street…read more Hard to get parking in front of restaurant, may have to park on a side street or away a few blocks a walk up. Food selections had a nice variety. I ordered a plate with rice and pigeon peas and stewed pork ribs which is accompanied with a small salad The rice was flavorful and nice and fluffy and the stewed ribs a was 1 of the better versions I've had. I also order a large mundongo (tripe soup) A side of white rice. So I gave 3 stars that's a because it was not the easiest place to place an order with some challenges with the language barriers. And the whole process seems a slow since all the food is already prepared. It would seem pretty simple to point scour into the containers and bag it up and out the door. But was a slow process. The food would get a 4 stars for that nice flavors and freshness. But the mundongo I pointed and ordered never made it to my bag. When I got it home, it was a large container of the stewed beans that is usually used to top the white rice. So I couldn't add my review on what I did not get.

So I came here because my father eats here often like once every two weeks minimum... I tried to go…read morein with my service dog and was told dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant... when I explained she was a service dog I was told it is there policy to not allow dogs...
