1 Star Terrible food, careless service, and rude staff -- avoid this place I ordered from Gema del Sabor over the phone with Ana. The order was simple: one Gema desayuno with an over-hard egg, two asada tacos with pico de gallo and grilled onions on the side, and a Jamaica drink -- all for my husband. What we received was an absolute mess: * The egg was runny, even though I clearly said over-hard. * The Gema desayuno had grilled onions dumped right where the crema should've been. Instead of plating it properly, they gave me a sad little portion of crema in a to-go sauce container. * The tacos had lime juice on them, even though lime is not normally part of the dish -- I never asked for lime, and one taco had it, the other didn't. That tells me someone started making it for themselves and just threw it on our plate. * The portion of pico de gallo I paid extra for was ridiculously tiny. Most taco stands give more for free. * The tortillas were over an inch thick -- chewy, dry, and totally wrong for tacos. As if that wasn't enough, the Jamaica drink had a strong cinnamon flavor. That was never mentioned. We don't like cinnamon, and worse, it's a potential allergen. There was zero warning, and no one asked if that was okay. That's careless and dangerous. I called to give them a chance to make things right, but I got Maritza on the phone -- and she was the worst part of the entire experience. She didn't care at all, cut me off constantly, and said it wasn't her problem because she didn't take the order. She refused to transfer me to Ana, wouldn't listen, and offered no solutions. The only thing she had to say was: "Well, I guess you can write a review then, if you're upset about it" No apology, no accountability, nothing but attitude. She made it very clear that they don't care about customers at all. The food was rushed, sloppy, and wrong. The cook clearly doesn't know how to follow simple instructions. I got charged for extras that weren't done right or even placed correctly. And their response to a serious issue -- like putting cinnamon in a drink without warning -- was to blow it off and get defensive. I just wanted to voice my concerns but she clearly didn't want to hear me and proceeds to say, " I'll be waiting for that review," In a nonchalant attitude to get me off the phone.
