I really enjoy coming here for pupusas or soup. Their pupusas are hands down the best I've had in the Antelope Valley. I always go for the bean and cheese ones. They also have a Tuesday special where pupusas are sold for a dollar and change, which is a great deal. I've also ordered the caldo de res and caldo de pollo, and I usually get coffee with my meals as well. I've read comments about poor customer service, but that has never been my experience. I've always been taken care of right away and my orders come out pretty quickly. The downsides are that the restaurant feels a bit stuffy, and on my last visit there were quite a few flies around, which made eating a challenge. The food was as authentic as I've had and I've eaten my share of Salvadoran food and there are several eateries in the high desert area to choose from. The gold standard is the flavor and texture of their pupusas along with their cortido and red sauce. The revuelta, bean and cheese pupusas meet the mark. In addition you can't beat the prices as the more pupusas you order the less expensive it becomes. Everything we had was sabroso! Combo tipico, desayuno tipico with ham, pupusas, salpicon and yucca frita amazing. Their ensalada drink was some of the best I've had too. The ladies at the register and the kitchen are fast and efficient as my order was ready upon arrival. Second time back in a day visiting my Salvadoran family. I love the food of mi gente. I ordered two pupusas. They were delicious. However, my girlfriend and I intended to split an order of cheese nachos. Not only was the cheese, the artificial kind that you would get at a baseball game or something, but they had it loaded with what I believe to be at least one complete jalapeño sliced up. My girlfriend ordered soup. The soup unfortunately had a hair in it. The waitress was accommodating and understanding, and agreed to give her another order of soup. The service is horrible. Waitresses with bad attitude, they bring your food so late and cold. Had to ask for silverware when the food was brought. Reminded them many times for my drink they forgot to bring at the beginning. Took almost and hour to get one pupusa out to the table. Unsatisfied with the service. read more

This place completely ruined my order. All three different soups I ordered came out different, and items were missing. When I called to report their mistake, they claimed they couldn't find the receipt, even though the order was recently placed. They are dishonest to avoid taking responsibility for their mistake and refuse to refund my money. This is unacceptable; they need to be accountable for their errors. Absolutely horrible! read more

Dinner time! Had pupusas, yucca Con chicharron and chilate con nuegados and platanos. Service was quick and the food is ok. The pupusas can use more filling, the yucca was cooked to perfection but the chilate with nuegados and platanos was pathetic! $9 dollars for an experiment that was awful in taste and appearance. This is a hidden resto. Salvadorian. I was so hungry and asked for corn atole. Then an asada plate with plantains , rice and beans. And queso fresco avocado. Atmosphere is low key with music from Selena, and other Latinos artists. Food was hearty, price was good. Definitely coming back. read more

The first two times that we git food from this place was fine. 1st time we ordered pickup, the second time we ate there (in person service was alright but not wow) . But after that it has been horrible, they don't know what the restaurant business is like and what it is. People who are not professionally as chefs and in other aspects of the hospitality/restaurant business should take a course or some type of classes. Why? 1) We ordered an egg w/plátanos and black beam breakfast- the eggs and plátanos were dry, overcooked and the tiny child-size portion of beans was a joke, same goes for the plantains 2) they don't serve your food at about the same time. The breakfast took forever to be ready and when it finally arrived at our table my pupusas weren't ready yet and they took forever to be served. I could see the so called cooks moving at a sloth pase, super slow! But their mouths moved quickly as they yapped and yapped. 3) Service is no good. A man that waited on us was impatient when asking for our orders. Let us look and take our time to decide. Gees! It's not as if the place was packed and people waiting for table to be available. Even so, it would be unacceptable --- Him and the female server or anyone aren't attentive. We always have had to go up to the counter to ask for something. 4) one time the drink we ordered tasted nasty. Like an old rag or just plain old. Had to go to the counter since nobody would ever check on us and the girl just said, "well it's in the refrigerator so it should be fine" . Seriously! Another time and the last time we went the Ensalada drink (which to me seems like a cheap version of the drink) also tasted nasty, old. At least that time she gave me another one. That one tasted fresh but lacked flavor. We asked for our money back. I picked up an order of 7 pupusas and received a small bag of curtido. I asked for more, not necessarily extra because the amount I was given would only be enough for half of the order. The girl told me that she would give me more but would charge me for it. Like I mentioned above, I was not asking for extra just enough for the order I paid for. I hope the owner reads this and realizes this is not good for business because now they will have competition. There's a new place, Vos Pupusas coming to the West side and a lot of people are talking about it. I know I am excited and definitely look forward to trying it out. read more

The experience was not great at all, first we waited a long time to receive our order. Second they brought us 3 forks and a spoon for two people. I order chilate con nuegados (Is like an atole with some patties made of cassaba) and a sopa de patas and one pupusa. Well I couldn't eat the chilate con nuegados because we never got a 2nd spoon and the waitress/ cashier never came back to check up on us. we had to get up and ask for the check, plus containers to go. And she didn't even bother to give us a bag to put all my containers in. I carry all the small containers one on top of each other. The curtido for the pupusas, we never got any tongs so I was disgusted to imagine everyone eating and putting their own used fork to get the curtido, just a whole lack of attentiveness. And it was not busy at all there was one more person eating there and us. I don't recommend, the sopa de patas was not good at all, and the pupusa was plain. I didn't even taste the Chile con nuegados because I didn't even have a spoon and she never came back to see if we needed anything. They could do better!! read more

I walked into the place and it was so dirty inside, but like i said it might have been busy. What really made me give this place 2 stars was the food i ordered pupusas and they were so small. This place is not worth the money . If you ask a plate of plátanos Fritos y frijoles well it's a joke you get 4 small slices and a little cup of beans . I was shocked ! I will not be eating at this restaurant again. The small amount of food you get is ridiculous. The music is loud and annoying. Love the sopa de gallina here, it's me fav. Las Pupusas están ricas pero les falta un poco más de relleno. Pónganle mas queso y loroco. Los desayunos están deliciosos. El chocó banano esta rico. I ordered sopa de pata not good! No flavor! My order was to go, had to add my own flavoring at home, it was literally water, no taste! It said tortillas came with the sopa-- NOT!! What I got was two Pupsa's (nothing in them) I know for sure these are not tortillas. Also, I don't know why it took 30 mins to cook, the sopa was not even warm when I got home, I live three minutes by car from this place. They are going to have to step up their game if they are gonna stay open. read more

La mala experiencia que tubimos en esta mañana la que estaba en la caja una muchacha de pelo colocho con high lights en au cabello pesada nos dijo que nos sentaramos a el ldo de la pared al final nada de dar la bienvenida ni tener modales de atencion a el cliente. Segundo ordenanos pupusas nos las dieron tostadas y las horchatas parecian que tenian mas agua que nada la que atendio en la mesa se llamaba Karen con una actitud HORRIBLE le pedimos que nos cambita las horchatas y como que no le gusto.Si no le guata su trabajo puea mejor que se quede en casa y listo. Le pedimos cafe y despues veiamos a el rededor y habia un señor molesto potque no le aervian su cervesa y su comida dos veces se paro a decirle a la de la caja! Ahora no se si el dieno se da cuenta como va la comida servida a la mesa que sabor tiene ETC ETC, ETC.
