Staying in this part of town for the week I knew I had to stop by at some point to grab takeout. I'm glad I did! Authentic and delicious. The smell of the smothered burrito was the first thing I noticed when I opened the box. The burrito was perfectly sized and tasted amazing. I succumbed to what CO burrito is; like an addict with no choice.. it's the smothered kind that you fork and knife and all that Jazz. Guess what? I'm starting to adapt and like it. It's not my first time mind you that's why I'm more docile in my review. After three years you would be too. This ones so good. I was told it's the green Chile factor. Toddler taco tour 2019 stop 11! we have changed up our strategy for finding great taco places, we basically drive until we see one and we pull over and check the Yelp reviews to make sure that it is not infested with cockroaches. So we pulled over, and checked out this place oh, and there were no roaches reported. This means we are going to enjoy some tacos. The service here was fantastic, it's always a question mark when you roll in with a two-and-a-half-year-old, sometimes the service can be lukewarm. However, the waitress was very excited that our son is learning Spanish and loves tacos! We have for tacos two carnitas, and two a mixture of carne asada and chorizo, they were both fantastic oh, the horchata and rice and beans for the kiddo were delicious as well, definitely recommend this place as a nice hole in the wall Mexican joint! read more

You can't take liquids, but you can take as many burritos as you want. And everyone knows that when you go to the West Coast you have to bring In-And-Out Burger back for all your friends, and you don't want to put burgers in checked baggage. I love places that don't mix all ingredients of their breakfast burrito into a mush; discernible diced potatoes, eggs fried on the flattop, yolk cracked then allowed to cook into like an over hard egg. The pork tamale itself was flavorful. What I really enjoyed was they don't use salt as the source for flavor, if you know what I mean. Some lesser Mexican restaurants just cook everything seasoned with a lot of salt and mislead that to be "flavor". With La Fuente, each ingredient played its part in the overall flavor of the burrito. I would have liked more green chile and I forgot to ask for salsa which might have helped. Crispy Rellenos were solid. They are the wrapped variety where the stuffed chile is wrapped in like an egg roll wrapper then deep fried. Green chile sauce has a little heat to it so be aware. Sides of rice and beans were flavorful. Overall, smother breakfast burrito and the Chile Relleno platter came out to a little over $18.00, If I am in the area, it is definitely worth stopping by. read more

I really come here with my friends, family And/or girlfriend at least 1 time a week. Usually on a Sunday. There breakfast burritos are 5$ across the board and for a small container of salsa, they have a hot, mild and a green salsa that is somewhere in between the mild and hot. SO DELICIOUS. Sometime I can't eat meat, so a nice breakfast green chile tamale burrito with eggs potato and cheese is perfect. I love this place because they are fast, consistent, and the owner always takes your order. She is so kind and knows us well now. She knows our regular orders and gives us a lot of salsas. The food was excellent! Great food and great service. Was sitting behind a customer who told the waitress his food was cold she was very nice and asked to switch out his food and he declined. He then proceeded to eat the whole thing and when it came time to pay he asked for his food to be discounted. I believe he is one of those people who just want to receive a free meal. In the last year, since I discovered La Fuente by reading Yelp reviews talking about the best Mexican dishes in town, I have eaten approximately 25 more of their breakfast burritos. I have compared their version with highly touted burritos from a dozen or so other places, and I have come to the passionate conviction (!) that La Fuente makes the best breakfast burritos in all of Denver. I get their chorizo, eggs, beans and cheese version, with spicy chili inside, for the best $3.50 mobile breakfast in town. Of course, you could get it smothered with shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes and more chili, but I'd call that brunch or lunch; not a breakfast that you could eat on the way to work. Bottom line: If you can show me a place that makes a bettter one, I'll buy one of em for you. I'm giving La Fuente five stars based on two visits because they serve the best and most flavorful Tex-Mex food that I've had in Denver in a very long time. In my endless search for the perfect pig (as in pork burrito) I can happily say that the pork, bean, cheese and green chili burrito is as close to perfect as I can imagine. So simple, the ratio of beans to carnitas is heavily weighted on the side of the pig with just enough refritos to add texture and a different flavor. The pork is perfectly tender, moist and well seasoned. For $6.25 this "deluxe" burrito is big enough for two, or should I say big enough for lunch, followed by breakfast (yea!). The green chili is a classic Colorado style, not too thick but not runny. I go for half-n-half hot and mild which is just the right amount of heat (your lips will be tingling with delight afterwords).
