I had the Otis Burger, and let me just say... wow. Two perfectly smashed patties stacked with grilled pastrami, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard--it was a flavor bomb in the best possible way. Every bite hit with that perfect balance of savory, salty, tangy, and grilled goodness. My wife went with the chorizo enchiladas, and she couldn't stop raving about them. Authentic flavor with just the right kick, beautifully prepared and plated. The change from the previous ownership is night and day. The food quality is top-tier, and the service is nothing short of legendary. Even though the staff is mostly young and relatively new to the industry, you can tell they care. They hustle, they smile, and they're clearly learning fast. Also worth mentioning--Stevie J's social media game is strong! They're active, engaging, and do a great job getting the word out about new menu items and specials. This is exactly what Livermore Falls needed. Highly recommend checking them out--you'll leave full and impressed.

They have improved slightly from a customer service standpoint, but their order accuracy continues to be challenge for them specifically in the drive thru. I would say 1 times out of 3 they don't get the order correct. It's usually with the burgers as my thought is they mix it up with the next order. I would order a quarter pounder without cheese and I would get a cheeseburger instead. Quite the downgrade but still paying the quarter pounder price. I don't see the mistake until I get home and I don't feel like going back out. If you use a Credit card, they don't always offer a receipt when you pay and that tends to be the times when my order is screwed up. I am hoping its a coincidence, but the more it occurs the more it feels like a business practice.

The general manager, Donna,…read moreis hostile and disrespectful to both employees and customers, creating an overwhelmingly toxic environment. Multiple people have quit and walked out because of how she treats others. The store itself has serious operational and cleanliness issues. The equipment is not cleaned properly, and mold has been found in the machines. Furthermore, food tampering and intentional order mix-ups happen regularly. Given the poor management, the toxic and unprofessional atmosphere, and the hygiene concerns, I would strongly advise avoiding this location--especially if you have children with you. If you are looking for a much better experience, go to the Farmington McDonald's instead. The staff there treats customers with dignity and respect, and their general manager is fantastic.".

First sandwich was a wrap with lettuce, tomato, bacon, jam and shredded cheese. First of all, there was more wrap than anything else. Second, one, ONE thin piece of bacon. And when you think of shredded cheese, you think melted. Nope. Just some raw shredded cheese. The other sandwich was pesto, tomato, mozzarella and balsamic. Again, just really skimpy, mostly bread and not good at all. Somehow, the balsamic tasted spoiled. I'm not even sure how that's possible. The mozzarella moons barley had any cheese in them. Again, like previously stated with everything else, mainly just breading. It's not good. And MASSIVELY overpriced. I cannot state enough this place is a massive scam.

T he food is great, the service is great and they have a great selection of beers and specialty drinks. However, my recent visit to Buck It just as they opened for the lunch hour during the week was less than satisfying. The waitress, who appeared to be young, was more concerned with talking with the one customer at the bar than to keep an eye on our table. She was quick to take our drink order, but after she dropped them off, we didn't see her for a good 5+ minutes when we placed our food order. After the food was delivered, we never saw the girl until she brought us our check. The majority of the time you could hear her out back talking to the kitchen staff and then she would return to the bar and chat with the one person. At no point did she ever check on us to see how the meal was. Now to the food. My wife had the steak tips with fries and I had the bourbon chicken tips. The chicken was cooked well and had a BBQ sauce it was tossed in. Rice was very bland, but with some salt, pepper and BBQ sauce it was alive again. My wife's tips were cooked very well, but seriously under seasoned. A little salt can go a long way on steak. I was going to sample a smoked whiskey drink they had, but since the bartender was no where to be found, I settled on my soda. It's a good thing we didn't run out of drink, because we would have needed glow wands and flags to get the attention of the bartender. It's too bad because I had high praise for Buck It and the service it what drives my review from a 5-start to a 2-star. Customer service is what makes this a great place, but the younger generation don't understand the first thing about interaction and customer service unless it's through a phone or social media app. It's too bad. Keep the seasoned employees on during lunch if you want to interact with the staff.

The burgers were hand-made, not pre-pressed patties. Mushroom Swiss and cheeseburger both tasted great. There's a lot of cheese, and a decent amount of meat. From musty dive hotel bar, and not one of the fun ones (well there was this one older lady that would serve you the strongest drink of your life whether you told her you were driving or not but other than that), to fine dining. Beyond impressed! This place is BEAUTIFUL and I don't know how they did it, but it doesn't have that smell anymore. And anyone that has been there in the past knows exactly what I'm talking about. Kinda like your grandmother's basement after a flood from 15 years ago that no one probably cleaned up. Yeah you know the smell. The short ribs were gorgeous, the reduction was perfect and the wild mushroom au gratin was heavenly. NY strip was perfectly tender, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. I'm never surprised anymore when a restaurant forgets what "medium" actually is. Sadly, I'm at the point where I'm surprised when they get it right. Pleasantly, but still surprised. This place, definitely gets my vote when I go to Freeport to spoil myself. If you haven't gone here yet, you're doing it wrong.

December 4, 2025 My…read moremother and I went to Porter's today for lunch. I hadn't been to the Harraseeket Inn for 25 years, so I was anxious to see what had changed. It took a few minutes to be seated, since no one was manning the reception station. Apparently that's waitstaff's job - when they're not doing 100 other things. This is an oversight on the restaurant's part and something I pointed out to the manager. Once we were seated though, our experience blossomed into something really wonderful. Neither my mother nor I ordered appetizers.... Since we figured that lunch would be enough (it was). They don't serve bread or crackers or anything as a gratuity - which is probably a cost-saving as well as time-saving measure. It also forces you into buying one of their "small plates" (appetizers), which looked wonderful but were also quite pricey. We also didn't order alcohol- which probably saved us between $30 and $50, since their cocktails were $15 and upwards. Same is true with their wines. Appealing but pricey. I ordered the beef short rib entree ($38) (see attached photo) with a small Caesar salad and their wild mushroom ragout. The beef was some of the best I've ever had. It was fork-tender, juicy, and flavorful in ways that are hard to describe. As for the wild mushroom ragout.... It was cheesy and delicious, but lacked any visible mushroom. I told our waitress so and I hope she passed it on to the chef. My mother ordered their Grilled salmon, served on a bed of cranberry quinoa and topped with an avocado sauce that was amazing (see photo). ($41). The food was so good that there was no hope of taking any home. We wiped out everything! (See photo) We hard coffee with our meal and with taxes and tip, the bill came to $118. Well worth it for such a fabulous meal. We'll go back, but with my father and eldest daughter in tow next time!!
