I stopped by here for dinner recently. The place was very busy around 7:30 PM and I was promptly seated at a table in the center of the dining room. During my dinner visit, there were kids running around the place screaming at each other, so just be warned. The waitress arrived within 2 minutes after being seated and I placed my order for the Honey Garlic Salmon ($18 plus tax) served with a choice of starch and vegetable, I chose the mashed potatoes and the green bean casserole and added a side house salad for $3 more. The side salad had romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, and a big side of dressing. The entree arrived after I finished the salad. The pan seared salmon was covered with a soy honey garlic sauce & scallions, the salmon filet was a bit dry though. The chunky red skin mashed potatoes were soft and dense and very good. The green bean casserole had fresh steamed green beans topped with a cream of mushroom sauce and fried breaded onions, a great side! The portion size was pretty good and I finished my whole square plate. I did not save room for dessert and got the check which was $22.68 with tax and before tip.
Overall, a good dinner in a very busy and loud restaurant and bar. The service was timely, receiving my food in acceptable time. After I finished dinner, it took a while to get my check. I left cash with the final check on the table, so I could get back on the road quickly, driving through very dense fog through Turner backroads. read more
