The Blue Feather is a lovely restaurant in downtown Lewiston. It's spacious, with ample seating and a dimly lit (but not too dim) atmosphere. Since the Blue Feather opened, my husband and I have tried our best to sneak out for a date night whenever our son is with his grandparents. We love their offerings (both food and drink), and the service has always been delightful. My personal favorite has been the steak tips in garlic butter, Parmesan fries, and béarnaise sauce. Their craft cocktails are always interesting and well-balanced; I've yet to have one I don't enjoy. Needless to say, check out The Blue Feather. I'm not sure about this one. The food was good, nothing to write home about but not bad. The cheesesteak definitely tasted like steakums, ya know that pre sliced stuff in the frozen section. The bus was too large for the amount of meat given, but the bread was good. The salad was solid for a side, fresh toppings, nothing brown, dressing was good but tasted store bought. The service was slow for how dead it was, the bartender was good for daytime service, nice guy, but I'd hate to see how that panned out on a busy night. Great space, nice decor, lighting, very clean. My mom and I went tonight (Tuesday 7/1). She had boneless wings. We both enjoyed our meals. Mom loved her wings. Tender and moist. I loved my salmon especially with that delicious maple bourbon glaze. They put enough to mix with the rice. So good!!!!!!! the broccoli was cooked perfectly, not too hard/not too soft. I really hope this restaurant stays. I have one concern.....the parking, yes, for the customers, but more so for the restaurant staff. Restaurant staff are getting parking tickets. What's the point of working downtown if all restaurant staff tips go to paying parking tickets? I suggest the owners of all the restaurants downtown talk to the city of Lewiston, and ask if restaurant staff could get a free pass to the garage after they show proof of employment. Use a sticker on the window IDing cars exempt from payment to the garage. City of Lewiston, please step up and help hard working people not lose their tips to parking tickets. Don't want to lose good workers due to parking tickets. Lewiston, you have wonderful downtown restaurants. HELP KEEP THE HELP!!!!! Abby was amazing, kind, attentive. Enjoyed her very much. The ambiance was relaxing. The lighting is prefect, not too dark, not too light. There were not many people when we were there, probably due to no available parking, so I don't know the noise level. I could guess, based on the height of the ceiling I would think it would be noisy, echo'ey, if it were packed. But not so loud as to prevent a conversation with your party. I visited blue feather for the first time last weekend for a little event. I had never heard of this place, but now that I have I know I'll be back. They serve American-fare food, and do a great job with it! The menu has lots of options for anyone in a group (pasta, burger, salad, sandwich). I decided to order their special (philly cheesesteak egg roll) and a mule. Both were delicious, and very reasonably priced. The space feels cozy, with a few TVs to watch sports, but corner tables to tuck away into. The staff here is lovely and made the entire experience awesome! Really enjoyed our visit, Monday. We were lucky to find parking but I could see that potentially being an issue. Walking in: big, open space. I like that the walls are dark. Classy Cabernet vibe. We were seated right away. There were only a couple other tables occupied when we came in, a few more by the time we left. Several of the appetizers looked interesting and I would like to try them at some point, but I wasn't hungry enough today. I opted for the harvest salad with blackened chicken. My salad was fresh. The dressing was served on the side without me, even having to request it. There was a good portion of chicken, and it was blackened perfectly. Everything tasted delicious. My friend got the sausage brisket, mac & cheese. I tried that too. The cheeses was very creamy, and contrary to another reveal, tasted nothing like craft. It was incredibly rich, and he couldn't finish the entire serving. That just means he had lunch for Tuesday also. The sausage had a good flavor, and again cooked perfectly. We did wait a while while to get our tab. It was OK with us. As I said, by this time, several of the tables were full. A new restaurant on the North End of Lisbon Street in Lewiston Maine. The daily was well managed, had a very clean appearance, and a fresh look and chill vibe. The service was timely and knowledgeable about the products offered by the establishment. My date has the Teriyaki Beef Bowl and I had the Ahi Tuna Poké bowl. Both bowls were delicious and well presented. The food was fresh fresh fresh and properly seasoned and absolutely delicious ! 9/10! Welcome to the Neighborhood Blue Feather!! We were in Lewiston to watch a play at the Public Theatre. Before the show they recommended walking down to The Blue Feather afterwards for dinner/cocktails. I'm glad we did. The space is nice, plenty of tables and quite a long bar for seating. The menu looked good but we only stayed for an appetizer and cocktail. They had three cocktails on the special list that were inspired by the play that we just watched. That was fun. The Pork Dumplings were tasty. And the drinks were good. The bartender was great. Only recommendation is to maybe turn up the music and use warmer lighting. read more

The service is good, but the kitchen is absolutely terrible. I've given them a few chances(4 to be exact). I've wondered why they aren't really that busy given their location. I've had breakfast there a few times now. It's terrible. The first few times the food was bad was when they first opened. They switched kitchen staff, and the food still sucks! Tasteless eggs. How do you not season eggs???it's the most basic practice in cooking. Quickly thrown together food. How do you throw together a breakfast that is cold when no one is there???? Its ridiculous!! To top it off, it's the second time I've been sick from eating the food. Not once, but twice!!!! Come on guys, do better!!!! Food is life, it's not cheap, and at the very least one shouldn't get sick from eating breakfast or dinner!! read more

This was our first time coming to the Blue Feather, and we had a great experience, will definitely be back. I got one of the specialty drinks, Dublin Doozy, and it was awesome. I also got the poke bowl and it didn't disappoint. The customer service was excellent, our waitress was friendly, engaging and very attentive. Don't waste your money! Going out to dinner tonight was the worst dining experience we've ever had. The food was tragic and the servers seemed flustered despite it being empty... I was excited to try the Blue Feather. Walking in, we were met with a 30 minute wait (not uncommon on a Thursday). We decided to order drinks at the bar as we waited for our table. The drinks were good, a tad sweet, needed some refining for sure, but good. No complaints. We get sat at our table early and are told a few parties ahead of us "passed on the table." We should have read the signs and walked out as well. Once seated, we ordered the sweet and sour meatballs and the hummus plate to start. The meatballs arrive first and taste EXACTLY like spaghettios. We brush it off as it's only the first thing we've tried. After waiting 10 minutes for the hummus plate, our waitress comes over to ask if we ordered fried pickles. After correcting her, she goes to the kitchen. She comes back with the hummus plate and tells us it was backed up as the kitchen was "still preparing it." What was put in front of us was insulting. An entire tub of store bought hummus, a few pieces of broccoli that were soft and discolored, a few pieces of cucumber that were yellowing and mushy, and some warm pita (store bought, but edible). Goes without saying, the pita was the best part. We then put in our order: a Rueben with fries, a steak and cheese with Mac and cheese (a $3 up charge for the Mac), a beer, and a mule. 20 mins after placing our order, our waitress comes back to tell me that they are out of sauerkraut for the Reuben. Disappointing, especially after waiting for 20 minutes, but whatever. We finally get the food and it was baffling. A $3 up charge for Kraft Mac n cheese. A mess of a "Reuben" that's very fatty, no kraut (as previously mentioned), soggy, etc. The steak and cheese was mostly peppers, minimal steak, and no garlic aioli (as advertised). After getting our food, our waitress comes back to confirm our drink order, asking us which liquor we wanted with the Mule because they "only have Tito's." When we FINALLY get our drinks, the beer has no carbonation, and the mule has no ginger beer. They subbed it with starry or sprite. We called it quits, got our bill, and left. The waitress seemed disappointed that we skipped boxes, but there was a 0% chance we were going to eat any of this a second time; we couldn't even stomach it the first time. We will not be back to say the least. Food quality is poor, service is flustered, chefs coming out during service to use the dining room rest room... it just didn't operate like a restaurant should. The brunch ends at 2 PM and we came in for 1pm. We were not seen for 20 min, so we left. Will try again later to rate food, maybe.

We went 2 days before their grand opening as a family outing, we had to wait a bit but it wasn't something that was unique, most restaurants that are high end require wait times especially when packed. Once we got to our seat we ordered drinks, I got a specialty drink and it was good but I had to request a soda because it got me a bit on the dr*nk side. We ordered and I got the baked Mac and cheese with chicken and the side of fries and it was so good! Very decent sized portions! The lighting was so amazing, it gave off vibes of being a high end restaurant while also being something you could afford. read more

Incredible food! French fries are usually meh at most places but these were extra crispy yet pillowy. The falafel pocket was delicious. Lunch was an awesome deal for $14 after tax. Wonderful service, too. I'll surely be back! read more
