Blue cheese burger and Cheeseburger wrap

Food and service were amazing! Stopped by here to grab a quick bite after hiking. Great food and staff were very friendly ! Highly recommend the blue cheese burger and BBQ wings !

Great meeting place in Belgrade, especially if you want to watch a football game. We needed a mid point with friends and this was perfect. A varied menu that satisfied everyone.

    Two eggs, bacon, toast

Food was really good. We had breakfast. Service was great. Ambiance was of a local diner in rural Maine. We enjoyed listening to the locals.

What's in this photo? Sadness and mediocrity.

Some locals say it's the best food in town, they might be right because it's the only food. Each visit gets progressively worse-worse service and worse food. If there is a manager, he/she is out-to-lunch (and while you're there could you bring us back some good food?) The last trip, and I mean last, was a Sunday evening with less than half the full restaurant. It took 20 minutes to get a bottle of wine and an iced tea. The rest of the drinks, a soda and glass of water, would make their way to the table about 10 minutes later. 30 minutes to order and after being there an hour the 'meal' finally arrived. I thought I'd play it safe with nachos, however, I was wrong. The plate arrived with a dry pile of chips and what had been chicken pieces at some point. There was no point in sending it back, I didn't have another hour to wait. I will say, the waitress was smart enough to not ask how any of our meals were. I've heard people call this place 'the sunset swill' and I would agree with that. Eat at your own risk.

Great chicken strips for the kids. And wonderful fries. Great outdoor place where you can come as you are. Excellent ice cream too.

Not a bad little dive in bar restaurant located in a charming little town of Belgrade. I had the Steak Bomb sandwich on a gluten free bun.

Fried clams were well done, cold and crispy. Not good. This place used to be good. Just a local bar now.

An old rail car sitting on the corner. It is a small and unassuming spot. You step in and it is a very tiny place. Your typical diner set up. Counter seating and booths opposite them. And the window to get the food from the kitchen. They don't have a gluten free menu, but they are well aware of small changes they can make or take away to fit the dietary needs. I went with the South of the Border Burger. No bun, pepperjack cheese and chili. They all blended together so well. The slight spice of the chili and cheese was a great topping mixture for the beef patty. The fries were right in the middle of crispy and soft. The North of the border burger was, "very tasty. Awesome flavor!" Which is a good review from my Dad who isn't much for extra on details. My brother got the Korean BBQ sliders special (not on menu pictures provided). The flavors were awesome. Lucky the kimchi came on the side, my brother wasn't too keen on the fermented cabbage. My mom had the curried chicken wrap, no wrap. So the kitchen made it a salad for her. Sh loves salad and curry. So why not put them together for a dish she really loved. The staff were all extremely friendly. They seemed to know a lot of the patrons coming in. We had a fun time reminiscing about the Guy Fieri visit and other Maine celebrities that have stopped in. If I'm ever out this way again, I would love to come back. Excellent food. Excellent service. Great experience!!

It took a bit to get our order taken and over 30 mins to get our food: a strata with 2 eggs as a substitute for potatoes and greens, and 2 eggs, bacon, toast, and a side of corned beef hash. They had also run out of clean coffee mugs which left patrons we waiting for their coffee. The strata was a small portion and quite tasteless, except for the overwhelming taste of red peppers. Strata are usually made with eggs, stale bread, and other ingredients. There were no eggs listed in this one, so that is why I ordered sunnyside up eggs with it. The sunnyside eggs where overdone and quite browned on the bottom yet the yolk was not runny and the eggs were still undercooked on top. The corned beef hash, which we were told was stellar and television personality Guy Fierii loved, was abysmal. There were only tiny shreds of corned beef, not well seasoned, and mostly undercooked potatoes, celery, and onion. Even ketchup didn't help. Prices were very high for the serving size and quality.the strata was $18.00. Only on street parking, cramped quarters, high prices and less than stellar food. While by water, there is no seating overlooking the water. You can go outside to view. The service was excellent and the retro establishmnet is unique, but based on this experience, we would neither recommend nor return. Only on street parking.

What are they famous for you ask? Well, seafood...of course. Specifically, the lobster roll. My boyfriend loves the lobster roll! I had the popcorn chicken basket with crinkle fries that I could eat everyday if given the choice. The seasoning and breading are just right & fried until golden brown without sacrificing safe cooking or flavor. Another one of those busy places-it's a restaurant that attracts locals and tourists. They've always got inspirational quotes on their marquee. Outdoor patio seating (tables with umbrellas) and a no-frills, basic interior decor. Gives total seaside vibes.

They have the option for ordering takeout Ahead of time or online. There is significant outdoor seatting as well as a small interior dining room. The interior has one non gender handicap, accessible bathroom. The menu is not excessive, but the portions are generous. CAUTION: pay close attention to the prices. they will fluctuate and you should not assume what the final cost of your meal will be beforehand!! My clam basket and my daughter's 1/4lb roll (2 20 Oz drinks) totaled $65!! Now I will absolutely give credit to them for the clam portion being large and high quality. These were the type of onion rings that I prefer, which are thinner and more crunchy with less batter. That said, the total completely blew my mind.Because even with a very industry standard upcharge for onion rings in place of french fries.I had sticker shock. I grew up near Portland so I understand the price of seafood can change quickly. But I would say do some price shopping. Because this is more about the experience of the location since the quality of food does exist at other restaurants. In maine.
