Wow - I sooooo wanted to love this place. We have driven by so many times and tried to stop in, but you really need a reservation. So we finally made one and man were we disappointed. Our 300.00 dinner left us wishing we would have cooked and made cocktails at home. Would have been fantastic to have something close to home to rely on. If all I did was come here and have a glass of wine (actually a decent list) and my ribeye I would have been happy, but as my son says " they got distracted by the pageantry". We started with some of there cocktails: Maine blueberry Margarita and the Maine Blueberry Mule - both were so sweet we had to pawn them off on our mom who loves sweet stuff. But there was no bite to either of those drinks (that should have a sour and ginger spice) - just pure sweet. I would steer clear if you like real margaritas and mules. I quickly switched to wine - which they actually had a decent by the glass list. For food we tried a few appetizers: the grilled shrimp, cucumber & goat cheese bites, and stuffed mushrooms. None of these hit the mark for the price point and I wouldn't get them again. As for dinner there were some wins here and still some misses. The steaks (filet and ribeye) were both great! Cooked just right, beautiful sear marks and flavor was outstanding. I even liked the rustic smashed potatoes (though I added butter and salt) and the super fresh green beans. Overall those two dishes saved our night. But the eggplant parmesan and baked haddock were just OK and I honestly could have made better at home. The views were fantastic to watch the sky change at dusk so that was also a bonus. And the chocolate covered strawberries that come with the check were a nice touch. There service was very family oriented: tiny kids clearing plates, a very young guy taking care of us, not exactly the service to match the prices, but I get they're going for the family vibe. I just felt for the prices and the "upscale" menu theme/prices I expected more. I'd come back for the steak and wine alone, but I'd know that coming in and stick with it. I don't think I'd be very adventurous with my money here again.

So few dinner places in Belgrade since the duck restaurant has fallen from grace. Then there's Sadie's to the rescue. It took me a few years to finally check out this Italian-ish waterfront restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised with the serene small marina location. The inside equally impressed with wood lined space including bar and porch. The food was very good. We only were able to try the grilled vegetables and blackened haddock, both excellent. The greens with the fish were tasty but the rice lacked a bit of flavor. They have familiar dishes like eggplant parmesan, scampi, Maine scallops, steaks, and different specials every week. They give you nice popovers to start and chocolate covered strawberries after! Service was pleasant and prompt considering the crowd. Wine list is ok as well as local beer list. Unfortunately they are only open Fridays and Saturdays in season and reservations a must. They do occasional special events like wine, beer dinners and music.

The service was fine but I didn't think the food was that good. The fish seemed overcooked.

Amazing! Ambiance, Service but the food was even better. From CA. And as good or better than anyplace I have eaten there. Chris W.

Awful...food is below average, natives are rude and unfriendly to visitors. Stay away as so many have!

It should be called Ten Star Fresh! They are a small outfit that sells their pasta at their manufacturing location in Biddeford, Maine. Just email them if you are anywhere within 30 minutes of Biddeford and see what time you can buy their pastas or be at the Kennebunk Farmers Market first thing Saturday mornings before they sell out. Email ahead if you need gluten free which is made on the same equipment as regular pasta. However, people with celiac disease have eaten it with no side effects so it just depends on how sensitive you are to wheat. Amazing quality and taste. The best gluten free pasta anywhere and I have tried them all. I live in the greater Boston area (two hour drive) and will definitely be a repeat customer. Worth the time and trouble to find this pasta for family members that have celiac disease and are gluten intolerant. Eric and Susan are super customer friendly and this is the first time I added a business to Yelp just so I could post a great review. Eric said to email him anytime I wanted lasagna noodles, etc... It's so rare to find accommodating businesses these days. They have a cute motto too: "Too small to fail." I think what makes their pasta so wonderful is they do it all themselves and take the time to personally make the pasta, roll it, and cut it. Visit their Facebook page. They offer classes on how to make pasta, etc...

When I moved to Portland 7 years ago, I fell in love with this place. Sadly, it has gone down hill…read morefrom there. I am not sure what has gone on especially in the past 18 months, but after the last four consecutive visits, the food has been just dreadful. Over cooked, under cooked, slimy/greasy, bland, over frozen, dry. So sad. Places like this shine for me and it is so sad when things fall apart. Today I got the Chicken Parmesan prepared meal from their reach in section. It really did look so yummy. I took it home and heated it up on the stove over low heat like I always do to ensure food that is cooked is not over cooked in the re-heating process. Little did I know that the chicken was already over cooked. When I took the first bite of chicken I was not sure what shocked me first: The total blandness of the chicken, the hardness and obviously over frozen-ness of it, or the over cooked of it. Over frozen has a very distinct taste. And this chicken had it. I think it was frozen, thawed too quickly, cooked (over), then re-frozen. This is just not what you do to food that is supposed to be as good as it is supposed to be here. I hope you guys figure things out. The last meal was the lasagna and it was so greasy omg. And it was similar with the spicy sausage pasta a few months ago - just so very grossly greasy I could not eat more than a few forkfuls. And the chocolate cake - i was totally bummed because on the lid you have a label that says "Our delicious moist chocolate cake". It was so dry, i had to toss it after two bites. You guys had a fantastic reputation. I cannot spend my money here anymore, but even more than that, I do not want to risk eating a bad meal.

Excellent food , friendly staff reasonable prices . I go there for food at least 2 times a week…read more You can see all the food so you know what you're getting. In good weather, you can sit outside and eat under umbrellas.

I was searching for a slice this afternoon and immediately knew my target when I saw a photo of the pillowy Sicilian pizza here. It was even better than it looked, and it looked great. The crust tastes like a fresh baked focaccia, the sauce has a lush flavor (the sauce was the star of the pizza if I had to choose), and the cheese was a substantial herb-topped layer without being heavy. It's also approximately 9 for a large "slab" that could easily be split for lunch. This is also some of the only pizza I've ever had that is similar to the Sicilian slices I had growing up in Cambridge and going to Armando's (for any Bostonians that may know!) so it had a nostalgic element for me. Must hit place for very memorable pizza.

I'm drooling just thinking about it all over again. It was like taking a bite out of a fluffy cloud. One slice (a little under $10) is big enough to feed two hungry folks, or three if you're not that hungry. Other than the pizza, I'll take this opportunity to express my love and appreciation for Micucci. This Italian grocery store is as mom-and-pop as it gets, and the vibes, products, and prices show it! Their selection is so impressive; everything from oils to pasta to wines, and even a deli with all the best cheeses and meats (best guanciale in town!!!). I just love this place!
